  1. Kaiir Elam turns 23 today. Happy Birthday! People wanting to trade him need to look no further than the state of the secondary to see he is one play away from playing significant time. Got me thinking about the entirety of the secondary, and how the roster might shake out of the back end of the defense. Last year, the Bills carried 11 defensive backs onto their opening day roster. Below is how I have 10 current players slated in: Boundary CB: (4 last year) Rasul Douglas Christian Benford Kaiir Elam ????????? Nickel CB: Taron Johnson Daequon Hardy Safety: Mike Edwards Taylor Rapp Cole Bishop Damar Hamlin Chameleon: Cam Lewis Extras battling for 1 boundary spot? Kendall Williamson - 6’” 203 lbs 7th round 2023 Ja’Marcus Ingram - 6’ 2” 190 lbs UDFA 2022 Kyron Brown - 6’1” 195 lbs UDFA 2019 I think it is possible they’ll only carry 3 boundary CBs with Cam Lewis filling in as the emergency 4th player (also available at nickle). Based on the state of the LB depth, they might be more willing to carry an extra backer than one of the 3 above listed guys who have mostly spent time on PS anyways. Feeling pretty good about the state of these rooms.
  2. Kyle Williams - good character guy, fits right in to the need at DT Shady McCody - A little juice to the backfield Mario was a good selection. I almost went with Peter’s but didn’t know how he’d fit into the current rotation
  3. Keeping in line with the Packers/Jets history, let’s hope it’s Roger’s
  4. There is no doubt the level of competition he faced will not be up to par with that of NFL caliber tackles. It’s almost the complete opposite of Sedrick Van-Pran Granger. All of his reps and experience came battle tested vs the SEC and the highest level of competition. Solomon was raking up stats against the likes of Louisiana Monroe. Not to knock his production, but I do think a fair question is will his smaller stature and reliance of athleticism be able to translate to more athletic, bigger, experienced offensive lineman. I agree, his highlights look like he is a dog chasing a piece of meat, and I’m excited to see how that quick twitch translates. In a couple of those clips, he seems to really be able to use his speed, and counter off of it. Specially I’ve seen him rush the edge and come back through the inside shoulder of the tackle. Can he do this vs the next level of talent? Time will tell. I still think it was an exciting selection as even adding a layer of speed/athleticism gives us something that our DEs currently do not have. One additional question I have that may be some explaination to that I’ve skipped over or missed, is why his sack, tackle numbers and games started dipped down significantly in 2022. I think it could be injury related?
  5. I don’t necessarily see it this way. I would think that there is some risk/benefit analysis to injecting SVPG in at center. Where as you see it through the lense that he is unseating McGovern, could it not also be seen as it allowing him to stay at LG? I think Kromer and the staff with have to weigh what combination can be most effective. Would Edwards/McGovern be a stronger duo than McGovern/Van Pran-Granger while allowing Edwards to stay as 6th in and primary IOL back up? A move like this allows for a single change up front, keeping the Dawkins/McGovern duo in tact. With a McGovern move to C, you now have an entirely new combination at LT/LG along with the change to how the guards will mesh with the C
  6. Is there a list of the >2.0 YPRR 1000 yards or can it be assumed all other are over this data point? Edit: let me restate to get to my point: is there a list a players who are >2 YPRR that were not 1000 yard guys?
  7. Jason Kelce was 280 when he came into the league. At just shy of 300, I see why people mock him solely as a Center. Mitch Morse wasn’t all that heavier. I am not to concerned about his size. With a monster of Torrence and McGovern on either side, I would imagine he’d be fine up front in the ground game. Especially considering how much we like to move our C, his athleticism is huge. My biggest concern would be getting caught in 1v1 match ups in pass pro with some of the bigger, more explosive DTs in the league. Can he hold up? At the end of the day, I wouldn’t get caught up in arm length or how heavy he is. If the guy can hang (years as a starter in SEC and national champs should suggest this) then he should play.
  8. Who said it was acceptable? I said there is no doubt they can do better. The way I see things, the shift in philosophy to Brady lead to a much quicker passing game designed to attack horizontally and gain YAC. There is a reason they brought in guys like Samuel and Coleman. Stef Diggs catching a bubble screen for 3 yards ain’t cutting it. My point in bringing up the old stats: They went 6-3 over that stretch, including the OT loss to the Eagles and the 12 men on the field botched Broncos L.
  9. Diggs last 9 REGULAR SEASON game totals 42-457-2 (4 grabs for 50 yards/game) Davis last 7 REGULAR SEASON game totals (2 DNP) 15 - 310 - 2 ( 2 grabs for 44 yards/game) Samuel and Coleman should undoubtedly be able to fill those shoes, and then some. Take a step back off the ledge.
  10. “I can’t believe the (insert team) took that player in the 6th round right out from under us. That is who WE should have taken” it’s the 6th round. Come on.
  11. I like this pick a lot. Groom this guy under Miller. Could be a real threat I’m on the edge. Is he big enough to hold up against NFL OTs? We’ll see. Feels like a potential big pick up for limited risk
  12. At this point I’m fine with the first. trade your 1 and a player for Aiyuk. Go get your SB and you still have plenty of ammo the next year
  13. Next years picks: 1st 2nd 2nd 3rd 4th 4th and more… player trade incoming. Bills mafia creams their shorts. BBB does it again. Bet!
  14. Maybe we’re fixing to pick a new kicker and punter in the 6th/7th
  15. Still wondering what prompted the Bills to spend so much time on Troy Franklin. They must have liked the film but couldn’t get past the measurables or off field work.
  16. Big day today. Lots of selections. Can you find a Matt Milano, Khalil Shakir or Taron Johnson? Even getting 1-2 starters or role players from today would be huge. Hoping they pick up a running back, another receiver, and some more OL/DL help. Situational edge rushers left anywhere?
  17. Wondering if he’s become a bit of a poisoned fruit. Happens every year - guys gets hyped up, starts to fall and then now everyone is questioning why that is, continuing to add to the doubt and speculation, resulting in them falling further down the board.
