  1. Although I’ll generally agree with this sentiment, idk that it would have made any difference with the front they gave. They wanted to get Jones in a 1v1 and they had their best on ours, and he lost. Sometimes you just get beat. This will be interesting moving forward, with McGovern slated to take over at C. She. They brought it Morse, I thought that was such a savvy move for a team building up a young QB. It takes the pressure off them being able to rely on your bigs to get it right in the trenches. At this point though, Allen should be able to easily handle navigating the OL. Josh’s big play mentality often leads him into a tunnel vision IMO by pre-determining to some degree how he sees or feels something will work out. You see it a lot with the forced throws to Diggs, or the early scrambles. And I also think this comes to fruition with setting protection. His mentality has been (not always but at times) that we like a look, and we’re going to do this, and if it’s not there or someone bleeds through, I’ll just create in space.
  2. Great watch. A few take aways: - Diggs limitations plus cost made him expendable (effort, unable to get of LOS, lack of closing ability when it matters)…plus a 2nd round pick coming back….it hurts but it was better that sticking with what you know wasn’t working - I have concerns about Brady and what he’ll do to bring the passing game back to the next level. As JT mentioned, he saw some spots he wishes we would have taken some shots and ended up with running plays in favorable situations. I hope we turn up the dial, and trend back the other direction. - Allen is a monster, but will he learn to settle into his own progressions especially as he ages. Will Beane and McD give him the tools to feel comfortable doing that? - Feeling pretty good about the OL moving forward. I know there were plenty of clips of guys getting beat or making mental errors, but overall I believe them to be a solid group that can be a real asset to this team.
  3. Alright fanatics, Venmo me your spare change and let’s get this done
  4. I’d be surprised if the Gmen take a QB with their current GM/Coach combo. I have them pegged at one of the big 3. I also disagree on the Bears and Jax, but for different reasons. I think the Bears still are firmly in the WR market despite recent acquisitions. Jax isn’t dying for a number one, with Christian Kirk and the additions of Gabe Davis but I do agree that they still could look at WR. Could they do better to protect Lawrence? Probably.
  5. This is me. Im dying for a banger trade for the excitement of getting a legit prospect. It would be entertaining. Realistically I don’t think it’s the best choice, but from a pure enjoyment standpoint: I’d rather get hyped for someone everyone loves than settling for WR5 at #28 and be left feeling like I have to convince myself to be excited.
  6. Great history and info here. You can read into this so many ways. My initial reaction is that this move was a decade ago. The game has changed and WR is now a flooded draft pool. Is there no history in this because it’s not wise? I think those top talents are game changers but how certain are they vs someone at 25 or 28? I think Beane looks at all the variables and decides the risks are not worth the reward here. Worse case scenario could be devastating to this team in Allen’s next 2-3 seasons, right within his prime. Can we compare Demitroff’s history to Beane’? I am not convinced that looking at a different GMs patterns would indicate anything as to what our GM will do. The best predictor of the future is past behavior, not your neighbors. Rare moves are the outliers, and I don’t think the state of the roster and with the other factors (talent pool, cost, risk) I would be floored if this happened.
  7. Chicago Bears get: Josh Allen Buffalo Bills get: #1, #9, 2025 1st and 2nd If not, what would it take? Everybody’s got a price!
  8. @Kirby Jackson, prepare to be disappointed IMO. Right or wrong to do it, looking at Beane and his history of round 1 suggests otherwise. Even his three largest moves to date (Diggs, Allen, Edmunds) are not even close to the level of this kind of monumental deal. He’s been historically more likely to move slightly in RD1. I’d be very surprised to see this happen and get to #4. Pair this with the cards reportedly asking for 3 #1’s….i just don’t see it.
  9. Marvin Harrison Jr., Ohio State - Cardinals Rome Odunze, Washington -Giants Ladd McConkey, Georgia - Chiefs Brian Thomas Jr., LSU - Bengals Xavier Worthy Texas- Ravens Bonus Bills pick - AD Mitchell
  10. As PC as the comments seem, this is honestly why GMs are always claiming “we’ll stick with our board. We’re always open to business and want to explore our options but we trust our evaluations and will see them through” The only other option is to panic, which I feel like happens more often than we’d like to think (even at OBD). That said, those swings have to be taken later in day three.
  11. There are just too many options for me to wrap my head around what the Bills will end up doing. The variables are too great. The one thing I get more and more confident about as we get closer and the more I read, is that we will not be moving up for a big 3 into the top 10. I’d be surprised if we went into the teens even.
  12. This is way too rationale and even keeled. Can you try again a little more unhinged?
  13. Wanted to go with Kam Kichens because Beane was just saying they are trying to look past measurable onto tape…he ran poorly, but has been a dude…still a reach. Kind of hate this trade back scenario
  14. With the 52nd pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the LA Rams select Bralen Trice, Washington, Edge I had a few guys on my radar here: I liked Rakestraw until the trade up nabbed him. OT seems a bit picked over, and then Adisa Issac two picks ago….BUT: Trice is a gamer. Had some rough testing at the combine which allows us a guy who plays best in full gear in Sundays, not in the shorts Olympics in the off season. After getting DL help in round one from Murphy, we’ll continue to bolster the defensive side of the ball up front. I don’t think Trice is a game wrecker, but he can be a nice piece as a future starter and has a floor as a situational player while the Rams learn to survive in the post- Donald era. The Phelon-dolphia Iggles and anything-but @Logic are on the clock
  15. In spirit of the thread, I think this is where many folks get hung up. We like to discuss players as if the suit a particular position a la “he can play the X”…I’m just not so sure that labeling it as such nearly describes WHY people are making that comparison. I think the traditional roles of an X or Z or slot are often over cast onto specific skill sets (quickness, size, etc). As you said, idc what you call them, but can they win and win now? A guy like worthy isn’t on the table at 28 for the Bills IMO not because he “can’t play the X” but because he likely will not offer skills that they value such as blocking, winning of LOS etc
  16. A reach? Any particular reason you went with him?
  17. It absolutely is. But if the bills trade back and select a RUNNING BACK in the 2nd round after just spending one on cook, and two 3rds on Singletary and Moss…ppl will revolt (rightfully so IMO) Our RB range should firmly be in the 5th round and on
  18. Who’s the funny guy that picked Benson? You trying to start a riot?
  19. In no way do I see James Cook as a freak. What elite quality does he have? He is an okay RB. He does a few things well, some things okay, and other things poorly. I cannot imagine he strikes fear into his opponents the way this title would deserve.
  20. With the 19th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the LA Rams select, Byron Murphy, DT, Texas The Rams have not had a first round pick since they selected Jared Goff 1st overall in 2016. The GM in typical fashion, explored some player trades that didn’t root. Pony-ing up to send two 1sts and more to Dallas for Micah Parsons is just the kind of thing I think Snead wets his shorts over. Instead, we’ll sit pretty at 19 taking a player at a position of need with good value. The loss of Aaron Donald will be felt across the defensive line. His shoes will need to be filled by many different players. Adding Murphy to pair with Kobie Turner after a great rookie season eases the blow of losing a future hall of famer and maybe the best to ever do it. The Pittsburgh Steelers and @RyanC883 are now on the clock.
  21. Starting to hop on the Brian Thomas Jr train. Feel like at the end of the day, you go to the tape. He seems to just flash athleticism and the ability winn 1v1. If we can’t get a top 3 (which I don’t think they should sell out for) I’m hoping we can get BTJ in the early to mid-20s. If he’s gone by then, I’m moving back if possible. I don’t see a ton of difference between that next tier of guys and no one im pounding the table for at 28.
