Will Elam’s status in doubt, I don’t take the elevation of roads to necessarily reflect White’s eligibility

Man…the greatest game that never was

Would you like him to go on the field and block for them? When it comes down to it, the offensive line struggles are more often than not, physical failures rather than mental error. When ***** hits the fan, it is generally a player getting flat out beat. Coaches can only do so much. If you have any gripes about the quality of the OL, I would take issue with Beane’s insistence on investing in the DL while throwing minimal assets to the offensive side of the ball in comparison.

Should the Bills re-sign Ed Oliver?
EmotionallyUnstable replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
The position as a whole might look entirely different in 3 years: Free Agents in 2024: Ed O Settle Jones FA in 2023: Phillips He is set to make 10 mil next year. I think they let him play out on his 5th year options, and if his production/market cools, they may try and retain him at the right cost. I don’t foresee them breaking the bank for him, especially in the limited role our DTs play regarding snap counts. Instead I expect them to do that for Edmunds -

Spotrac has his market value projected at 14.8 Mil per year. Too rich for my blood, but I think they will work out a deal. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/ed-oliver-29044/market-value/ -

For the people asking what's taking White so long...

My friends dog tore his ACL about 5 years back. Had surgery, fully recovered and then tore his other knee. We’re in trouble. -
Who is that 😭 Don’t think it’s Jordan Phillips

I would like to optimistically assume he would be equal to, if not better than, a rookie 7th round pick who has played 8 games and is banged up. I mean, injury or not, he is an all-pro with multiple seasons in this system. How effective can he be? Very. As far as work load, despite what many posters seem to think, I imagine when he comes back, it won’t be in a limited capacity

Having depth is one thing, have versatile depth is another. Epinessa, Basham, Lawson, these guys aren’t nearly as well rounded as Big Greg. He is a force in the run game and offers great upside as a pass rusher. After watching the Jets run it down our throats after his injury on the final drive last week makes me uneasy with simply putting Lawson or basham in to try and stuff the run. It can’t be forgotten that the Vikings have more attempted passes per game than our very own Bills. Dalvin Cook is averaging 4.6 YpC, which by the way, is only .2 yards better than Devin Singletary. They are 25th in the league at rushing attempts per game. They will throw the ball a ton, and if we cannot stop the run on the few attempts they do try AND get the QB, it’s going to be a long day defensively. Milano’s return will undoubtedly be a huge gain for our D, and Poyer being out still hurts a lot. Yet, there is a reason guys like Rousseau are drafted high in the first round and safeties are often not. Their impact is more widely and immediately felt on every down.

This reminds me of years ago (2016? 2018?) when everyone was trying to figure out who the QB would be opening day. Turned out it was Tyrod, but on the first snap of the game, I want to say it was Ortin or whatever forgettable middle of the road back up we had. They came out in some trick formation, and IIRC, it was speculated it had to do with a contract clause regarding paying TT

Instead of focusing on our ailments, let’s look at the Vikings defensive strengths and deficiencies, and see how this might play into the Bills potential game plan, with or without, Josh Allen: Below are a few Vikings defensive rankings in comparison to the rest of the league: Rush Yards Per Game (10th) Pass Yards Per Game (27th) Points Allowed Per Game (12th) Total Sacks (9th) - Za’Darius Smith leads the team with 8.5 and Danielle Hunter has 5 Thoughts - It seems that the Vikings statistically have a middle of the road defense, who has shown the ability to create turnovers and get to the QB with their two main pass rushers. Their LBs (Kendricka/Hicks) are older, yet athletic, veteran players, as well as some of their secondary (Peterson/Smith). Regardless of who is at QB, I would like to think that Dorsey can create a more horizontal attack than we’ve seen in the last few games. I want to put pressure on those edge rushers early, and create match ups with those LBs with some of our speedier guys (McKenzie, Hines, Cook). I would hope to see some bubble screens and jet sweeps early while sprinkling in full-motion and misdirection later on to try and get this defense moving laterally. This can slow a pass rush, or avoid it entirely, if you are successful early. It also provides Allen or Case quick and reliable targets to get into a rhythm. Easier said than done, especially if they stick to a traditional 3-4 alignment. We’ll need WRs carrying a large blocking load, and Davis has proven capable in this role. I don’t anticipate a large philosophical pivot if Keenum plays. They aren’t changing up front, so they won’t all of a sudden be built to run the ball down the throats of the defense. Find ways to get our players a competitive advantage, with or without Allen, through alignment, misdirection, and pre-snap formations to identify match ups that use speed and angles to find success. Im just going to leave this here: Nyheim Hines 40 yard dash time? 4.38

Interesting stuff thanks for sharing. We frequent this location since it has opened, as we are 8 minutes away. They always seem to have some weird new fruity or wacky combination, like the jelly donut, Trix, etc. I agree on the food, and we’ve learned what we generally like when we go, and what to avoid. Overall it’s a great spot for friends families food and drink. Man, now I want a NYBP pretzel and a destination… -

They do run the ball well and play good defense, but that only gets you so far. PS I was being sarcastic on the panthers
