I can’t believe I’m saying this but: Mahomes didn’t turn the ball over in the RZ and took 3 points on the opening drive. There is being handled, and there is playing poorly. Allen was certainly the latter today.

fair enough. Additionally I will add that his yards per catch and yards before catch are lower this season as well, which theoretically could be linked to him being asked to stay in and help out more before releasing into his route.

Statistically, he has seen fewer targets (to this point) and a fewer target share percentage than last season.

Like @Dablitzkrieg said, he’s not be asked to run the same routes as last year. Maybe it’s time to start turning him loose and use him as a weapon instead of a catch-all

I think those situations (Titans game?) were in games that they had prepared for it and knew it was likely something they’d need. I feel that on defense, if it isn’t part of the prep going into the game that week, they wouldn’t pivot to it mid-game.

Officiating is terrible. Obvious drop, they convene, signal Titans ball, and then two seconds later, announce it as incomplete.

McDermott and Fraiser, when faced with adversity, almost ALWAYS double down on their philosophy. They just don’t want to come out of that personnel grouping, and I don’t expect that to change.

Yep, and Reid is fantastic down there. Some balance would be nice. Especially with Allen struggling and our issues with finding separation down the field, it’s be great for Dorsey to work in and scheme some quick and easy throws to Knox, McKenzie, Shakir, etc. Diggs, I think, lead the league in hitch receptions last year . That has been non existent as of late too.

Just amazes me watching the KC offense, dink and dunk these quick hitters down the field. Didn’t see a single play like that all day by our offense

I don’t get the off-field review…when do they decide something is obvious enough that they should step in? When are coaches expected to challenge, vs getting an obvious overturn by the refs. It just offers more ambiguity in the NFLs already sketchy officiating. They need to get rid of that, or make it more transparent.

I would have hoped to see Dodson slide in for Milano. I think he offers more in terms of run support, which I feel is likely the only way the Jets can attack us. It’ll put a bit more pressure on the DTs, gotta keep the rookie clean to make some plays.
