This I believe is 100% accurate. This is the reason we overwhelmingly pick defense in the first two rounds every year and it could also be the reason a lot of these high picks haven’t worked out as planned because McD is ignoring the scouts and Beane’s recommendations and instead is telling them which defensive player HE wants.

I’d agree but McD just doesn’t trust rookies at other positions as we’ve seen. Is he really going to trust 1-2 rookies protecting his QB? One missed block could end our season. I think McD really will be hesitant to do it. And pretty much no chance they put two rookies on the line. One at most.

Believe me I’d love to see the Bills pick a couple offense lineman in the first four picks this draft. But even if they do, are they actually going to let two rookie offensive lineman be out there protecting their franchise QB? History says otherwise. We shall see.

We didn’t have Tre White last year for the playoff game. Which is why I mentioned last year’s playoffs as well as this years. Injuries are part of the problem. Scheme is too but that will never change with McD here.

Agreed. Look at San Fran. They get down to their 3rd string QB and all they do is keep winning. That is a complete team. Buffalo is nowhere near that. If the Bills lost Allen in game one of next season, I don’t think they’d do better than 7-10. And probably not even that good.

I tend to agree with your comment, but in fairness I would have liked to see how a 100% healthy Bills defense would have done in the playoffs. We haven’t had that the last couple years. If we would have had everyone playing at full health and still got shredded by Cincy, then I don’t see how anyone could argue the defense isn’t good enough to win in the playoffs.

Agreed. The Bills as one of the top 5-6 teams in the league will again get the maximum amount of games, and it will be that way as long as they continue winning their division and/or 11+ games a year.

I wouldn’t want to see Frank here for anything higher than OC. But it would be a possible feel good move by the Bills if Dorsey gets the job in Carolina.

I in no way want to trade Diggs. But why in the world would you pay him top 5-7 WR money and then not use him? And there was way more than today that they didn’t use him like a true #1 receiver should be used. Keep Diggs, find a better OC that can scheme plays for him to excel. Most of Diggs’s receptions this year were smaller gains. Not a lot of big gaining plays. And definitely ignored in far too many games.

When the head coach needs to deflect blame, coordinators get fired. Happens every year. Has happened multiple times in just the last few weeks, even from teams that made the playoffs. It definitely could happen.

I said it during the game day thread. I think Frazier will be the scapegoat and let go this year. Last year it was the specials teams coordinator, this year it’ll be the defensive coordinator.
