    Buffalo has gone defense first round every year McDermott has been here except the year they traded it away for Diggs. Highly suspect they will go defense again in the first. Cornerback or defensive tackle are most likely. Not saying I would do this. But I’m saying this is what I think Beane and McDermott will do.

    Frazier calls the defense the way McDermott wants it called. Make no mistake about that. They are both in lock step about how they want to play defense. So even if Frazier is gone, McDermott will just bring in someone else to run McDermott’s version of this defense. But I’m in full agreement on let’s get the 2 third round picks for Frazier if he leaves. I’m all for that.

    Exactly. I’ve heard Allen talk about this. He ALWAYS calls tails. Always has. Always will. He doesn’t flip flop between heads and tails. Tails were 9-0 for him this year. Why would he change it up? Just got unlucky twice yesterday with flips. Kind of the way our day went.

    Our quarterback achieved and played “championship caliber”, which McDermott likes to spout off and they plastered it all over the training facility a few weeks ago. Now we just need our coaching staff to actually achieve championship caliber. The coaches have frequently left a lot to be desired in last years and this years playoff games.

    I think they may look to add speed and offense in free agency, I still think they will draft defense in the first round again this year. That’s been their M. O. since McDermott got here. They take defense in the first. Other than the Josh selection and even that year they still took defense a few picks later with their other 1st found pick.

    People may think that’s funny but I believe McD was even asked about that very thing last season and he said he doesn’t like to expose Bates because he was the backup center for Morse. I’m 98% sure I heard him discuss this. I guess late this season they decided F it, let’s just play him. And it worked out great.

    White won’t be back until mid season most likely and even then who knows how he will recover and play. I definitely think we need to go CB in the first round this year and hopefully can find another in FA as well. There won’t be a ton of cap space this year. We can only plug so many holes.

    It’s always about Kelce and Hill and we failed to cover them tonight. We did really well against them in October but tonight we reverted to last years effort and let them run wild. It’s only because of Josh this was even a close game. Defense and the coaches should be embarrassed by their play tonight.

    They “should” have tackled better. It was the worst defensive performance of the year Id say. Giving up 42 points and 552 yards. The Chiefs are good. We had no answer whatsoever tonight to slow them down. Gotta improve the defense for 2022 big games next year. Defense needs someone that can sack the qb. They have no one who does that.

    Well they aren’t going to fire McD. So I would guess the way they are going to try and improve the team going forward is through player acquisition. So going with that, I’d say they better focus on the defense who was embarrassingly bad tonight and will need to be better in the future against the Chiefs and any other great offense they come up against.

    Our offense was unstoppable in two playoff games. I think the focus has to be on the defense who gave up 552 yards to the Chiefs including 182 on the ground. If the point of last off season was to catch up to the Chiefs, I don’t see how it is any different this year. Gotta get better on defense. Won’t beat the Chiefs until they do.

    To me the biggest needs are cornerback, pass rusher and linebacker. I would love to also upgrade at center and guard. I don’t know if they can do all that in one off season with limited cap space. It’ll be tough.

    He laid it all out on the line tonight. Played amazing. I can think of 11+ guys on the defensive side that can’t say the same thing.

    Id bet anything the Bills draft defense in the first round again.

    The Bulls fired their coach after their first two playoff series losses to the Pistons and didn’t start winning championships until Phil Jackson became their head coach. So possibly history would repeat itself if another coach took us over the hump for this comparison.

    I’m proud of Josh and the offense. The D can go F themselves.

    Josh gave everything. His body was abused tonight and the defense was soft and should be embarrassed by their effort and execution. One person laid his body on the line for this franchise. 11 guys on defense will have to look in the mirror and ask themselves if they did the same.
