You might be right about stereotyping to a certain extent, but you're also overlooking the stereotype of a small-ish running QB and the perpetual fear that he will be injured. In that light, it doesn't matter what the color of his skin is. I don't hold my breath because I don't think he has the "attributes" to be a successful quarterback. I hold my breath when Taylor uses his legs. I hope that with experience, he will stay in the relatively safer pocket.

I doubt guaranteed contracts are anywhere in the NFL's future, so you can sleep easy. My only point was that the bad behavior you complain about wouldn't exist if the contracts were guaranteed.

If the contracts were fully guaranteed and the players still did that, then you'd have a legit beef.
