  1. Given the Bills record of draft futility, I'm all for keeping next year's picks. Besides, they are more than a player or two away from competing for anything.
  2. Even if E.J. does turn out to be the real deal, you can't gamble again on it. Trade down, or stay put. Take a Tackle and improve the O line, for whoever is the QB this and next year. http://espn.go.com/b...nd-with-15-pick Add to this, the problems E.J. has going vertical with the ball. and a deep threat may in fact do very little to help him or the team.
  3. Good article on why not to trade up this year. Trade down if anything. If E.J. proves not to be the real deal, you still have a good team ready to get a nice QB and move forward. http://espn.go.com/blog/buffalo-bills/post/_/id/9268/bills-shouldnt-clown-around-with-15-pick
  4. + 1 Too many WR options in 1st and 2nd rounds.
  5. This can't be true. : ( DJ must be involved somehow?
  6. Maybe the Bills can be ahead of the curve for one time! I would like that. A balanced team does well in any given season, and should be able to adjust from time to time. The Pats do it all the time it seems.
  7. BINGO. This /\ + 1
  8. Good points. RT has become more valuable, and I have read more than a couple times teams are willing to draft linemen other than LT high as they can get potentially more years of service from an O lineman, and developing a good line doesn't happen over night. IF the Bills can tarde down, I say trade down and get more picks: they are more than a couple players away from contending in any meaningful way, and we still don't really know what we have at QB, if anything. IMO. Also, the draft experts say this draft is so deep in WR talent in the 2nd and even 3rd rounds. We may see the top couple WRs go high and then not see any for a while. ? Also like you mentioned get a RT this year, and see what happen with Glenn.
  9. How would... uhh...
  10. My nomination: worst pre-draft post 2014!
  11. So, the Bills can't have more than 1 QB on the roster going into the season? Ok. Buddy?
  12. 30. QB Derek Carr, Fresno State (6-2, 214, 4.69):
  13. Normally I would agree, however Ol' Buddy put this team in such a bad situation re: QB by ignoring year after year, that they are in a position to draft QB and if not this year, fine, but next year then.
  14. No DB, no RB, and no Manziel. No WR either, as there are so many I've read, and can also easily be had in 2nd round. Unless someone really drops.
  15. He looked very good in most of them? Really. From all that I have read, he has a number of flaws, and looks to be much the same QB has was in college, minus the injuries. There was a very good review/analysis written by some service a while back, and pointed the areas out pretty accurately. IMO. I hope he shows some improvement this year. http://www.nfl.com/player/ejmanuel/2539228/gamelogs
  16. Agreed on all counts. They could get by OK rotating RDEs in and out pretty much. Won't happen at RT.
  17. I could see them going like this: 1. O line at # 9. 2. WR and trade down maybe? 3. DE or DB at # 9. They really do need a RT. IMO.
  18. Take O-lineman in 1st is fine with me. Makes the whole O better, and would be a major upgrade at RT. Also, I just saw an analysis of WR in this draft, and there appears to be value all over rounds 2 and 3, so getting another WR in this draft is viable also, IMO. If E.J. can't get the ball out to receivers with an improved O line AND additional receivers, he isn't they guy. Period. IMO. I do suspect he will struggle to get the ball downfield, and this will become more evident with better O line play and deep threats. WGR says that Mathews is visiting today. Any word on this? http://www.wgr550.com/two-bills-drive/18758530
  19. I'm thinking RT, as they need a RT much more than a LG, RB or TE, IMO. ?? http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/mock-draft http://www.billsdaily.com/gameday/index.shtml Chandler A-: The team would like to re-sign him but won't break the bank so he will likely go elsewhere for more money. Smith B: Solid blocking tight end that will likely be back in the same role next season.
  20. Why is Chris Hogan on the team, or in the NFL for that matter? I don't see it. :
  21. And Buddy basically said if the QB you want was a 2nd rounder you take him in round 1. As I recall. And Buffalo had no choice BUT to reach, IMO, as Buddy refused to draft a QB the previous years.
  22. Based on what? What are his intangibles?
  23. I smell Super Bowl!!!
