Found this funny, as the commentator obviously knows very little of Fitz, and kept going to the "nine years if NFL experience" saying basically he knows what to do. Just saying.... Flame away.
-
I would also add, UNTIL you get a Rodgers, or a Luck, or another franschise type QB, build the lines first. A QB is just 1 pick, just like every other selection the Bills have made over the last decade.
-
+ 1 This.

http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/OL Buffalo is in the bottom 3rd of the NFL in O-line grading, and as many many already know, run up the middle far to predictably and often. They run to R end the least in the league, and that just happens to be where Pears is. Urbik is OK.

Someone on the Bills oragnization, on that staff, has been selecting horrible FA O linemen for ever. I would love to see thet list of FA O linemen signed by the Bills over the past decade or so. I think that list would be shocking, seriously. I'm not sure where to find that information exactly.
-
Buffalo's O line has not graded well per Bills Daily, which is done by Steve Saslow. http://www.billsdaily.com/gameday/ I counted the graded, some were missing, but some on this board seemed to think the O line is playing wel.. they have had a couple good games but whole lot more poor. B, F, C, C, D, D, A, F, A. They need to draft O line in the first 3 rounds somewhere, IMO. Take a QB # 1 or # 2, or even # 3.

I thought Russ Brandon said the team has significantly more talent than three years ago?

Dan Dierdorf to Retire from CBS after the Season

Awesome. -
Track the game via NFL.com. Let's see what is going on via the stats before any gar'bage time happens.

Here are some statistics compiled by Football Outsiders, which show E.J. ranked 30th or below in basically each of the 4 statisitical categories they have. http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/QB

They need to draft another QB in 2014, regardless, IMO. E.J. has been bad, and getting worse. + 1 I really didn't like hearing the statements about drafting a QB before he leaves. His personnel decisions were subpar, and I can't imagine why they let him have any input to the 2013 draft knowing he was on the way out. Many of his completions are to backs still in the backfield who run for gains. I would like to see the stats re: passes completed over the LOS, and over 20 yards. His his other stats are near the bottom of the league.

The offense may be in trouble - remainder of 2013 and 2014

E.J. threw 39 times last week I believe, and was below 50 % completion most of the game, until gar'bage time. -

I hope they do both. draft again and sign FA vet. Anybody. -
I was keeping tabs on the injuries, namely on offense, and starting thinking the offense may be in trouble the remainder of this year certainly, and probably next year also. 1. E.J. doesn't throw a good ball, anywhere that I can see, and IMO, he is not "the answer" at QB. He hasn't shown me anything which I would say make him a starting NFL QB. I hope I'm wrong. Seen a lot of bad QB'ing last decade. 2. S Johnson disappears much too often, drops the ball, etc.,etc., and seems to have mental lapses as well, and now he can't stay on the field. Every week it's something. 41 receptions this year, 6 more than Scott Chandler. 3. Woods is out, and remains a question, although he seemed like the real deal earlier in the season, for a rookie. 4. Spiller isn't being used correctly, doesn't have Chan back there pulling the strings, or whatever, but again, can't stay healthy and can't be counted on for the long haul or a significant number of carries / games. I like him a lot however. 5. Fred, "Fred the head", is awesome, love him, but he's going to be 33 in February. 6. Scott Chandler. Scott Chandler. 35 receptions this year, but seem to drop and make bad plays? Not trying to seem negative, but on "O", this is looking more like the start of a rebuild than the finished product. O-line has issues. P.S. I think a good, real NFL QB would mask a lot of these, and may even make the O playoff worthy, O coordinator aside.

If the last 6 games are a continuation of The EJ Experiment...
San-O replied to alias's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess I don't understand why these guys think you can "develop" accuracy, or pocket awareness, or quick decision making? Don't you generally either have these things and need to improve them some, or you don't??? -
I would have no problem if they admitted they were wrong, and drafted a QB in the 1st. I would be very happy. But they won't. 1st year of the "new" old regime, and they will stand pat.

We have seen it before, and again. I don't know how it can continue. Can't they HIRE a QB evaluator to help? -
I still believe in EJ Manuel

Based on what? Bounces back? To where? Mediocre? -
+ 1 I'm afraid we're left with not much at QB after the Buddy Nix regime.

Draft. E.J. isn;t the guy. That I can see. You can't go into anther season with rookies and all nobodys. -
Now we get to see what we have for 7 games
San-O replied to 8-8 Forever?'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
+ 1 I think they really messed up big time, and planned poorly. Going into an NFL season with no QB having any NFL experience was obscene. This was the legacy of Buddy Nix. IMO. ALso, if they DON"T draft a QB in the first three rounds this year, well, I don't know what else to say. -
It would be nice if they could like, win, some games. Without a real QB, there is no chance, however I do like this team MUCH better than teams of the recent past. These guys seem to really want to win. PLEASE draft a QB, again,

Hackett not situationally aware in terms of the big picture

BINGO Maybe he thinks they're playing in Canada? -
I see what you are saying, but for me, I haven't seen enough good from E.J., injury or not, and would simply not allow the franchise to go into another NFL season without a QB who can likely be a legit starter and stay in the field an entire season. I think he is inaccurate and has yet to show he can stay healthy. IMO.
