  1. Question; Why did it take until 2 days ago for Marrone/Front Office to decide Lewis and Tuel were terrible? Again, the Bills are going into the season with issues are QB, and a 1 backup who has been with the team 2 days??? Seriously??? This is starting to look more and more like a circus I'm afraid.
  2. This current F.O. has shown me very little, and not much of it good so far. When do you see Orton starting this season? E.J. is not starting 16 games this year, IMO, probably a combination of getting banged up and sub-par play. I think Marrone panics and makes the switch before the ship goes down prior to the bye.
  3. What is the overall direction and strategy? They've traded away much (1 and 4) of next years draft, and are still rebuilding if you ask me. See article, which is pretty accurate I think. http://www.bradfordera.com/sports/article_fca94c80-3166-11e4-aa99-001a4bcf887a.html
  4. This was also a knock on him coming out if college if I recall. I think we're in trouble at QB again. We will see how he looks tonight: Better be good.
  5. I am starting to think the same exact thing: He knew he wasn't staying, and parlayed last season into a HC gig via flashy sack stats, so he worked the system good. Also, he had the players to do that here, so it makes me think that's another reason he came to the B-Lo. Well, he took a horrible defense, and turned then into a horrible run defense with a great sack production and very poor down-field pass defense.
  6. They didn't use Frank the Tank much at all last year. Does he stay?
  7. I am agreeing with you: all the sack totals don't really mean much if you can't stop the run sometimes, and give up huge passing plays, many for TDs. Sounds like the 2ndary didn't get a lot of help with the deep ball, or couldn't translate the pressures into coverage down field. ???
  8. That's funny. /\ Some additional stats/information which don't really add up that well. With all the pash-rush pressure and sack totals from last year, the Bills pass D defense: o 20th passing TD allowed overall. o 27th passing 40+ yards overall. If you want to score against the Bills, after you're done running all over the place, throw the ball deep? A lot? Where could one find additional stats like completion % over 20 yards and 40 yards?
  9. Looking at the stats, and the Bills were 10th overall in defense yards/game last year, and 20th overall in points/game, which is a little odd? And were 28th in the league rushing defense yards/game, which is no surprise. Where were all the points coming from? Did Special Team play, which slid about 20 positions down overall from what I have read, account for such bad field position and scoring to account for much of this? Any insight would be great.
  10. + 1 Urbik is their best Guard, and the others guys have almost no NFL experience. Legursky was terrible, why is he not getting cut???
  11. o Unga is listed as 27 years old, has never started a game in the NFL, and was on the Ravens practice squad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._J._Unga o Antoine McClain has also never started a game in the NFL, and was also on the Ravens practice squad. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antoine_McClain Any of our current/ previous personnel guys from the Ravens?
  12. Lot's of good comments and interesting points: including depth and backup takes. I guess knowing you have Urbik and the newly signed Williams certainly as starters and 5th rd. draft Richardson, you might expect the starters to get as many reps. as possible as two new O-line starters and these guys have never played together. J.J. Unga? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/J._J._Unga http://www.nfl.com/p...2541759/profile
  13. They front office signed free agent Chris Williams prior to the draft, and drafted a guard with the 5th round pick, and now have eight (8) guards on the roster. I don't understand that, even being the time of year prior to training camps. And while someone will say "camp fodder", what are guards used for as camp fodder? And why use a 5th rounder on a player who appears to now be buried on the depth chart at that position? I'm not saying it's wrong, I just don't see the reasoning I guess. Colin Brown and Doug Legursky may have been the worst pair of contending left guards in the NFL last year? OG Chris Williams - Signed with Bills 3/12 G Cyril Richardson - 5th Round Pick; signed 5/2 http://www.buffalorumblings.com/2013/6/12/4422168/buffalo-bills-left-guard-competition-colin-brown-doug-legursky-emerge http://www.billsdaily.com/depthchart/
  14. Elvis (not really rock) or Alice Cooper?
  15. Solution: Trent WAS good for about 4 games until he got a concussion and remembered he was Trent Edwards.
  16. Quit spinning the BEST possible outcome and let's be objective: He has been injured early and often including two "minor" knee procedures I believe. His play when on the field has been sub-par to this point and he didn't even outplay Thad Lewis by much, if any, IMO. It's hard to say he's a bust when he hasn't made it through a training camp or a regular season, however that result is without question staring this team right in the face if he goes down again or plays poorly again, or shows little improvement. IMO. He has proved nothing to me at this point. Disagree. Like Fitz, and Trent, and J.P., and all the others? They have no backup plan other than Thad Lewis and Jeff Tuel, which is scary.
  17. Agreed. Let's hope can can stay on the field and make it through the season so at least they will know what they have. My issue is with the apologists who blindly maintain everything is great when it's obvious this far, based in actual performance and nothing else, there are major concerns regarding his health and ability as neither have been on display more than a few games.
  18. What are you MRS. E.J. or something? Why always the crusade? If the kid could actually stay on the field for more than a few games, it might help? Yes?
  19. What are you talking about? Seriously. I said they are going into this season with the SAME QB ROSTER ARE LAST YEAR. Stop me when I'm wrong. The PRO TALENT evaluators have failed again and again and again. Until I see some decent QB play out of this team, they are going nowhere. IMO. I don't know more than anybody the Bills employ and less than many on this board, however I do know losing football when I see it. And a question for you, what genius hired Crossman as ST coach? And WHY? Marrone: because he's his pal.
  20. You're funny. No matter how many bad regimes come through, you always want to stay the course!!!
  21. Last year the Special Teams were a mess. I think they dropped like 20 spots overall from 2012 to 2013.
  22. This is not a playoff caliber roster until the Bills figure out who is playing QB. As of right now, they are going into the season with the same QB roster they finished the year with, and we know how that played out. If E.J. goes down again, you have Thad Lewis back there who honestly probably played about as well or poorly as E.J. did. This is also absolute nonsense. The OC is OK maybe, certainly no better than Gailey. We have no idea how the D is going to play, and the ST coach is a joke and should have been fired, or never hired. IMO
  23. Could NOT disagree more. If nothing else, Chan used Spiller to perfection IMO, and Hackett just seems to have him slam up in between the tackles. What the heck is that???
  24. They showed this past season they do not know HOW to use C.J. correctly. You can't just try and slam him in between the tackles. I can't believe they didn't look at game film from the year before when Chan used him to perfection, IMO.
  25. + 1 Bingo. Only the Bills front office/OBD and some Bills fans believe the team is really only a couple players away. They are a few quality starters away from being maybe .500. Maybe. Also, I find it hard to believe even for the Bills that they would look to trade UP in one of the deepest drafts in recent history. Stockpile some picks please.
