I really don't see the Bills with Jauron at the helm winning many more this season. Everyone seems to have figured the Bills out but the Bills. I can see 7-9. FWIW: I predicted 9-7 before tha season started. Hope I'm still correct, but that won't be enough.

Do the Bills Draft a ...............................

I would have to agree. I am starting to wonder if keeping him IN for the whole game did more to damage his confidence than pulling him for Losman or Hamdan. If you won't pull a young QB after throwing 3 picks in a quarter, when do you? 5, 6, never? -

True, but you have to assume that J.P. is gone after this year, and why keep him anyhow. If the coaching staff won't pull Edwards after that 1st quarter display on MNF and insert Losman, what does that really say? -

I think they absolutely need to take a QB in day 1. Probably not round 1 though, as they have too many other needs (DE, O-line, WR), and the Bills aren't ready to pull the plug on TrINT just yet. They may take more small, fragile DB's however. -
They apparently figured out after a five game audtition that he wasn't the guy. They passed over him, and took Marinelli. What does that say when the worst franchise/team in the NFL decides they're better off without you?

Don't let Jauron on the team bus?

He says that same damn thing every week. Well, he changes the number. It's like Willams when he would say "we need to execute better". It's just coach-speak when they don't really want to address anything specifically, or can't.

Williams had to deal with Ol' Whitey and a HORRIBLE 3-13 team his first year, and then got the team to 8-8 the next year with very poor talent in two years. Mularkey took over, again with the talent Ol' Whitey gave him, almost certainly had NO input into personnel and draft decisions, and got the team to 9-7 in his first year. So far, Jauron's team has beet: 2 - 8 Seattle 4 - 6 Jacksonville 2 - 8 Oakland 2 - 8 St. Louis 4 - 6 San Diego I simply do not see this team winning all it's last four games, with three on the road, and the finally home against New England. Again, Jauron has had much more personnel and draft input than any of the preceding staffs, got to pick his own coordinators and coaching staff, as far as we know.

Well, Buffalo will still be in the basement because of losses to both, or all three.

What all bad franchises have in common
San-O replied to BillsVet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ralph doesn't want to pay a G.M., and just promoted within with no real G.M. position. He isn't about to tear it all down and start again at this stage. He's happy when the seats are filled and the fans HOPE for a playoff team is renewed every draft. Don't expect anything more than that, as Buffalo will after this season be tied for the longest playoff draft in the NFL currently. -
What is the MAIN problem with the team?
San-O replied to Captain Quint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good points. I'm not an expert either but would surmise: 1. The guys recently brought in were vastly overpaid. 2. They are very big as NFL O-lines go and still can't run block. 3. The Bills cannot, or basically refuse to draft day 1 O-lineman. (Williams excluded) 4. The previously best lineman, Peters, just looks not very good at times. 5. The play calling may have a lot to do with it? 6. Possibly losing McNally was a bigger issue than thought? Take your pick, but most likely a combination of issues, like most problems. -

I agree. Who would hold accountable for the O-line problems? -
John Guy and Tom Modrak continue to escape blame

One need look no futher than the AFCE division to see the personnel departments are poor. After three years with THIS new regime and coaches, Miami and New York are walking right past the Bills. Miami turning it around in 1 year, and the two teams that combined for 5 wins last years are already have win 11 games, and ahead of the Buffalo in the AFCE standings. Buffalo is currently in 4th place and teams have figured the Bills out: Buffalo coaches can not adjust. -
I can't make up my mind if he's stoic, or vapid? Maybe we need a new word, like for Hamdan and the "chroise". Maybe, vap-oic, or better yet stoi-pid? The melding of stoic and vapid? vapid One entry found. Main Entry: va·pid Pronunciation: \ˈva-pəd, ˈvā-\ Function: adjective Etymology: Latin vapidus flat-tasting; akin to Latin vappa flat wine and perhaps to Latin vapor steam Date: circa 1656 : lacking liveliness, tang, briskness, or force : flat , dull <a gossipy, vapid woman, obsessed by her own elegance — R. You may have something there. He's the Terminator, except instead of being sent to destroy the future of man, he was sent to destroy the future of Bills football. But don't worry, he'll "be back". I'm sorry, I just couldn't help it.

... and Dick Jauron? A: Phillips looks confused, Jauron just looks. Seriously, what does DJ do during the games, besides not be able to find the red flag. I guess that's something he can work on, he just needs to get better: or do we need to see that tape? \

Step # 2: Blow up the entire scouting/Pro personnel/whatever Dept's. These guys are terrible.

I'm waiting for the obligatory, "I wish we were 9 and 0" statement during the post-game press conference.

Youboty gone for the year, Teddy Lehman signed

He's only appeared in 19 games over three years, and can't stay on the field due to injuries? -
THis past week I heard him use the "E", execute. "need to make more plays.." Starting to sound more like Gregg Williams.

Thanks, I needed a good laugh!

Dick Jauron was signed to a new contract early because
