  1. Sure glad Marv came in and saved the franchise.
  2. We've just seen this movie too many times.
  3. When was the last time Buffalo beat NE in NE? Has DJ EVER beaten NE? Look for Bills to get out-coached badly next week.
  4. That's a problem that DJ and company are not going to be able to get away from. Jets and Phins walking right past the Bills, and this is just the start.
  5. When was the last time Buffalo beat Ne in NE?
  6. Hey Astro. FWIW, I'd move DE right up to No. 1 need.
  7. So is the Jets D-coordinator.
  8. Jerry Sullivan piece. Gets it just about right I think. I never understood signing Kelsay and Schobel to those huge contracts. Big mistake by Marv IMO, which the Bills are now stuck with and probably will end up causing cap issues even with the "cap to cash" b.s. Why on earth would you sign Kelsay to a huge deal like that? Like he's going to get away? http://www.buffalonews.com/opinion/columns...ory/478559.html Flame away.
  9. Well, he was pretty ineffectivene last year also, having his lowest sack total siince his rookie year. 1 sack so far this year for him, and no pass rush from that line. http://www.nfl.com/players/aaronschobel/profile?id=SCH422487
  10. I went back and looked at Ol' Whitey's 2004 draft, now 5 years in. 2004 - Buffalo Bills Rd Sel # Player Position School 1 13 Lee Evans WR Wisconsin - starting, Buffalo Bills 1 22 J.P. Losman QB Tulane - backup, Buffalo Bills 3 74 Tim Anderson DT Ohio State - no longer in NFL 4 109 Tim Euhus TE Oregon State - no longer in NFL 7 207 Dylan McFarland T Montana - no longer in NFL 7 214 Jonathan Smith WR Georgia Tech - no longer in NFL
  11. I also felt that was a bad move, but that's what DJ is going to do. Buffalo can't run the ball, and apparenty the coaching staff is aware of this. If you can't get 1 yard, with the biggest O-line in the league, you need some other horses. Period.
  12. Yes. I recall after the DT signings that this would be a great year for Schobel. Buffalo is much better against thye run, but still has no pass rush and Schobel has 1 sack so far. The Bills are going nowhere without a pass rush. IMO, both DE positions need an upgrade, but that doesn't seem likely given the huge contracts for both D-Ends. that Marv gave them.
  13. If this secondary can't keep a lid on Ted "I'm now a Pro Bowl" receiver Ginn, they may NEED to keep drafting DBs.
  14. Cut him. Why did they bring him back?
  15. I'm not sure when they become "real", however if the Bills don't come out of Florida with a rather convincing win tomorrow, it may be a few more weeks and rightly so. Need a road win against a division opponent.
  16. What other safties were available. FWIW: I think they did reach for Whitner, and should have taken Ngata, and kept the 2nd round pick instead of reaching again for McCargo, and I thought this when they drafted that year.
  17. I don't think OC's are losing sleep worrying about the Schobel pass rush.
  18. I'm going to have to go with B. Buffalo gets worked again.
  19. Exactly. After seeing how Warner carved these guys on defense, I'm terrified to think what Rivers will do, without any Buffalo pass rush. They're going to throw all day long. Then again, Tomlinson ran for 178 yards last time they played in 2006.
  20. Or this guy: http://www.footballsfuture.com/2009/prospects/alex_mack.html
  21. That's correct, and after seeing what Warner did this defense, what do you think Rivers is going to do?
  22. I went back and looked at the last eight drafts, which starts with Ol' Whitey's first draft in 2001, through to this year's 2008 draft. There were a total of 12 O-linemen taken in these drafts, and I counted only 3 that were taken in the first 4 rounds. The current regime has taken 4 since 2006, with 3 of then being in the seventh round. The scouting department can't seem to identify O-linemen to draft, so they basically don't, or the Hydra GM/F.O. still doesn't want to pull the trigger? http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft...0&type=team
  23. I'm just hoping the Bills don't get worked, which seems to happen for nationally televised games.
  24. Exactly. Not so much. The thing I don't like is, for only getting a 4th, what if the Bills end up competing with Colts for a Wild Card spot, and McCan'tGo actually helps them?!?
