Buffalo has been playing and beating whoever has been put in front of them, and that is all you can ask. Very nice young team with up and coming young QB, team learning how to win games and even coming from behind. We haven't seen anything like this since the late '80's I believe. This is already a great season to be a fan. With this being said, today's game presents a couple additional challenges IMO: 1. Near West Coast road game. 2. Arizona’s only losses to Giants and Washington, both considered upper/top tier NFC teams 3. Defense for Bills a little banged up on D-line, could effect pass rush. 4. McGee out, rookie McKelvin assume would start. 5. Bills seem to enjoy starting slow, and against a passing team could put them in a huge hole early. 6. Warner has a very quick release, and can carve you up without pressure and knocking him down. 7. Next week is a bye, and that's hard NOT to look forward to. Hate to say it, but a non-division road loss wouldn't be devastating at this stage. Another test will come when San Diego comes in on 10/19/2008. I hope the Bills don't start slow again, play an entire 60:00 minutes of football, and come away uninjured and with a great win. Flame away.

Nice short summation. Regarding the defense, I was all in favor of drafting or getting D-linemen for a couple years now. Getting Stroud was huge, getting rid of dead wood like Anderson, Tripplet, was also huge. McCargo doesn't seem to be panning out too well, although Williams seems OK. Now, to play get to the point, what does the line still need to get preasure on the QB? The Bills are better against the run, but after 4 games, don't seem to be much better at pass rushing. This was supposed to be a huge year for the outside guys with upgraded and improved D-line interior play. I'm not seeing it. A couple of observations and opinions: o I never understood the Kelsay signing. Someone was afraid of losing Kelsay? o Denney is OK I guess, as a backup LDE. He's 31 now. o Schobel is again on course for another unproductive year (1 sack), he is also 31 now. Note: I read that the Cards will be starting Mike Gandy at left tackle, so we'll se if Schobel take advantage and pad his stats a bit. o Stroud and Williams are much better in the middle. o Chris Ellis. No idea about him. o Spencer Johnson. Don't recall his name being called much. Where does this leave the Bills on the D-line? I think they need to draft a D end to replace (insert-player-here), if the season ended today, and things stay much the same. Flame away.

This O-line is still a ways off. Need to get some more horses up front. Can't run well either.

That's what I'm thinking. Never seem to move the pile much. They are one of the largest lines on the league I believe, seem quite good at pass blocking but can't run block? Who's the weakest link. Fowler?

I was thinking the same thing. That seemed badly managed in my opinion.

Yeah, I've got to be honest: 1. Run blocking still an issue. 2. Pass rush not getting much done. 3. Special Teams look up and down. They MUST stop fielding those kicks inside the 10. 3 - 0 feels pretty good right now.

That's why they have training camp I guess. Maybe he should have shown up.
