  1. Raiders won 3 of the last 6, which is more than Dick can say.
  2. I am not an O-coordinator, or an offensive genius, I try to play more of an arm-chair GM, however what is Buffalo's offensive system or scheme? Doesn't seem to get mentioned much, even during the broadcasts on game day. They don't rely on the run, OR the pass, except maybe a very short pass West Coast kind of I guess? What is the philosophy, what is it they want to do?
  3. Buffalo's drafts since '06 have been bad, as seen by the low number of starters on the roster. I count 5 starters from the 06/07/08 draft. Brutal, and the 06' Levy draft may be the worst. All the experst were scratching their heads, with good reason. That was a rookie GM and a bad attempt.
  4. I think it's more likely, with DJ et. al., the 2009 Bills could/will be next years Cincinnati Bengals.
  5. Hey Dean, Well, he missed 3 games this year, and wasn't he playing with a bad knee also. Got toasted pretty good 1 game I think in pass coverage.
  6. He seems more like an unspectacular player on a below average defense. He's just a guy it looks to me, who doesn't get picks/INTs. Also, Bills Daily Gameday Section season recapped, and basically said the same thing. Seems to be hurt a lot.
  7. Well, I think the Front Office has already started, with attempting the unsuccessful trade of McCargo. http://www.nfl.com/draft/history/fulldraft...0&type=team
  8. The Bills were tied for 27th in the league with 10 INTs this past year. Whitner had 0, which is 1 less than he had last year. http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?arc...e&Submit=Go
  9. Right. The Bills might as well hang a "gone fishin'" sign on the franchise. Dick "I can't throw a challenge flag" Jauron is going anywhere soon, and Ralph says, well, keep the people we have for continuity.
  10. This front office seems unable or unwilling to draft O-linemen high.
  11. DE, I agree. Also I think we need to replace Schobel. Without a pass rush, the defense really doesn't have much of a chance.
  12. Buffalo is going to be in real trouble this next year. Six wins will be tough.
  13. Seriously, what a load of crap. You invest like $ 25 grand 45 years ago, milk the success of the NFL for all that time, have one of the worst franchises in the NFL if you take out Super Bowl run, and as a final slap in the face to fans, sell a game to Toronto, refuse to sell the team, and basically tell everyone your good with continued playoff absence, and aren't making any changes because you're already done. Thanks to Bill Polian for the only real success the Bills experienced.
  14. Schobel is done, finished, over with: cut your losses with him, he already got the bulk of his money I believe due to the screwed up cash-to-cap nonsense. Dump Kelsay also, he is brutal, and does nothing. I still get annoyed every time I think about Marv throwing money at these guys. Someone should have stepped up and stopped him, maybe noone could but now the Bills are going to continue to have horrible D-line production until both these guys are elsewhere.
  15. Mrs. Kelsay, is that you? Mama Kelsay perhaps?
  16. Kelsay doesn't belong on the roster IMO, he's basically a waste of space.
  17. I think Peters was the only player in the NFL to hold out until the season started.
  18. The problem with Peters is between his ears: how do you fix that?
  19. That would be my guess also.
  20. Peters - 11.5 sacks over 13 games. Yeah, where else can you find production like that. http://www.sports-boards.net/forums/showthread.php?t=153319 LAST IN THE LEAGUE!!! Nice, sign him to a long term deal now.
  21. Wasn't he pulled out or benched during a game or two, and didn't he take himself out a couple times? I imagine he'll probably pull the same crap again this season, then have a great "contract year" season when it's worth ot for him. Not really sticking my neck out on this one either. Also, the O-line seemed just fine when he was out. He gave up some BRUTAL sacks this year, like a lot, and this has also been documented here.
  22. Must admit, not really familiar with Coffman, however I would probably take another WR given the Hardy situation and the generally poor talent and level of production from that unit. A TE would be nice as Trent seems to not throw much further than a few yards down field and would probably benefit from a chain-moving possession type TE. I just don't see drafting a TE high and then getting much production from that position. Once you get past the top 10 or 15 tight ends in the league, how much production are you really going to get? Is that going to make that much of a change on offense? I would draft a center before a TE.
  23. I think it would be a terrible mistake to take a TE in the first or second. Also, Schobel was a non-factor before going down, and looks to have been finished for the last two years. The good teams know when to dump a player a year early rather than late, Buffalo misses the boat again.
  24. I think the Bills are in "epic" trouble for 2009 per below: 1. Edwards showed to be up and down in 2nd year, and has a history in the Pro's and college of not being able to complete a full season uninjured. This will continue. 2. The AFC East opponents took steps forward (NY and MIA) and steps back (NE) and will be better IMO in '09. 3. You can't have a coach or staff cost you several games every year, which will also continue. 4. The Bills schedule sets up to be much more difficult on '09. 2009 may end up being the 5-11 season which is the catalyst for yet another rebuild. QB play will continue to be an issue.
  25. That was supposed to be THIS year. Not even close to a playoff spot.
