  1. Nice points. I would think also that Peters being presented as an underpaid LT, and then again the same the following year isn't going well. It's not a long walk from being underpaid with three years left on a contract, to being a perennial malcontent, given his performance last season.
  2. Maybe Peters should have shown up last year (2008) and not been a turnstile on the left side?
  3. Nice post. I hope they get some good picks for him, however his performance, attitude, durability and professionalism may end up costing the Bills also: i.e., he's lowered his value by being not very smart. "smaaahht"
  4. Yes, this is part of the beauty of the "cash-to-cap" approach. You can overpay any player as much as possible in any given year and not have to worry about it any more, because the signing bonus was already accounted for! In addition, you prevent yourself from dealing the pressures of having any leverage regarding the remainder of the contract, as there is virtually no cap hit impact and cutting a player for non-performance makes almost no sense from a money perspective.
  5. Evans is going to do what. "smoke" him for 2 catches and 25 yards?
  6. Right, a LDE coun't not possibly step in as a rookie, not get ANY sacks or pressures and be a non-factor in the running game. Please, wake up. Dump Kelsay already and get someone in there that might actually develop into someone that can make a difference once in a blue moon.
  7. And another, and probably the best example of why this team has sucked ever since: Ralph wants his daughter in management and dumped Polian. Nice mover Ralph, dumb a$$.
  8. I also don't understand why that aspect hasn't been mentioned. They know there was "stuff" in the car, and it was his car. How is that not a issue with the league substance abuse policy? I also don't think he'll get it, as he hasn't before, and I don't think dude it too bright to begin with.
  9. Bump. I seriously can't remember Schobel ever making a difference. I'm sure he had, but just never really understood the rationale of Marv giving him that stupid contract as another thing.
  10. why did I all of the sudden have images of "Weekend at Bernies"?
  11. When will Dick Jauron find his "special purpose"?
  12. 1. Don't spend money on head coaches. 2. Continuity. 3. Overpay O-linemen and D-linemen. 4. Draft DBs early and often. 5. Continuous rebuilding. 6. Sell a game or two to another market/county. 7. Do whatever is required to propagate the smoke and mirror mentality at One Bills drive. (See every draft) 8. Get as many season tickets sold prior to season starting as possible, see T.O. signing. 9. Miss the playoffs for more consecutive years than all but 1 current NFL team. 10. Have a coaching staff inplace and intact that just can't figure it out.
  13. Dick Jauron explaining 10 times how tough it is to win in the league.
  14. OK, yes. Schobel is overpaid AND finished. I would drop him like a bad habit. Evans was good for 3 TDs last year, thanks Lee, and he has a nasty habit of disappearing from games entirely.
  15. Add Bill Belichick to that. Give him and N.E. an entire offseason to prepare for the season opener against Buffalo? No chance, period.
  16. Wasn't Peters pulled from at least 1 game last year?
  17. Did I miss something? Have the Bills won WITH Peters? Was he not brutal last year? Did he not give up more sacks at LT than anyone else in the league? In only 13-14 games? The Bills are not one or two players away, and Peters is worth more in trade to Buffalo at this point. Get his fat, tired, lazy, unprepared @$$ out of Buffalo and make him someone elses problem.
  18. Don't the Bills have a commitement to putting a good O-line on the field. and pressuring the QB? Wait, wait, wait, oh they don't.
  19. Duke "I can't remember the snap count" Preston?
  20. Marshawn had a terrible score first time, then came back and added like 20 points. They coach these guys sometimes.
  21. Whenever I start to hear something really obsurd, I tend to check the score. http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFLDr...4/Wonderlic.htm Maybe someone should explain to Peters having 11.5 sacks in one year for OT is NOT a good thing. In this case, less is more!
  22. He also had one of the lowest TD:Attempt ratios in the league at .029 TDs per attempt.
  23. I am on board to this point with Trent, but his play down the stretch was poor, and he is very injury prone per his history on the pro's and college. Initially, I was super hyped about hearing the late Bill Walsh was very high on Edwards, however you he has not proven to be able to complete ANY season so far, and like it or not, the Bills should be looking for a QB in the draft regardless of how many games T.E. completes this year. 1 game.
