Well, as Dick would say: it's hard to win in in this league. Apparently harder for some than others. It seems it's also difficult to spell. Sorry, I couldn't resyste.

Jauron will cost this team 2 wins a year. Did you not see how he got worked against New England?
-
The Bills couldn't get anyone to witness the inner workings of D.J. or the Front Office if they sold tickets. Believe me.
-
Interesting: Simpson seems to be the odd man out. I can see that.
-
But they keep doing it! Pick 10 DBs they keep and explain why.

The Bills have 16 on the depth chart that I see on Bills Daily. They kept 10 - 11 that I can determine last year. Having drafted four (4) DBs with one being a 2nd round pick, who are they going to let go? Understanding that the depth chart will change before the season, who do they dump, John Wendling, George Wilson, John Fox? They are likely going to need to cut 2 or 3 of the DBs they just drafted, which makes the incessant and unyielding drafting of DBs even more confusing to me. If you're going to have a love affair every year with the new crop of DB's, at least draft someone that might possibly make the team. These guys (the F.O.,D.J.) collect DBs like my kids used to collect video games. http://billsdaily.com/depthchart/ P.S. I know, the Bills don't draft any more Dbs than anyone else.

Assuming Peters decided to hold out until the day before the start of season, and came in again and performed the same way, isn't it nice to be able to view the start of OTAs with a fresh eye towards the players obtained: Having the O-line be able to work together and develop and work in new players and probably rookies without the distraction and headaches of a protracted Peters holdout.

Winfield at contract impasse with Vikings

Agreed. The constant DB lovefest must end. -
First off, I really like that the Bills realize they need pass rush help fast, however not sure how this is going to work out. Maybin was listed as 228 lbs. for the Senior Bowl I read, and then bulked up almost 20 lbs. for the combine, which has been regarded as a mistake. At under 6' 4" and probably not going to get much heavier, this is not an every down DE and most likely never will be IMO. 1. How does a Tampa 2 / Cover 2 use a situational pass rusher. 2. This player would come in on passing downs only. 3. Who goes out when he's in. 4. Does this limit the use of nickel or dime packages. 5. Do situational pass rushers really work. Thanks.

I posted last week about Bills taking more DBs than anyone. Received mixed responses. The Bills had drafted 7 DBs the past 3 years, so to draft another 3 or 3.5 would be even high for them. I count at least 10 DBs now over the past 4 drafts. There were approx. 40 CBs taken in this years draft, Buffalo took 3.

For those of you who say we don't need a Free Safety
San-O replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed, however what does that mean for Whitner, as he is being projected as the FS for this year. -
I'm also wondering how the Bills "circle of trust" can screw this up. We won't have long to wait.

So. Cal. Laguna Beach.

Not sure anyone else cares, but I think I found it. Has Scout's Inc.'s Top Remaining Players just below the main draft tracker. http://scores.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draftCast/index

Last year I remember a coupe sites were OK, although there was one that had a draft tracker type of setup where they tracked the top players at all positions that had NOT been selected yet. Can't seem to find that anywhere. Any ideas of favorite sites please post the link. Good luck Bills and Bills fans.

SKOOBY. This isn't "Coffee Talk", and you're not Linda Richman! -
Draft Tek's Latest Simulation...
San-O replied to Lt. Dan's Revenge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. Also, the Bills have only taken 3 O-linemen in rounds 1 - 4 in the past ten (10) years, if draft history means anything. That would be a nice draft 1 -4 anyhow. -

Buffalo's descent into mediocrity came when ...
San-O replied to SoCal Pat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What could they possibly have been seeing to have them take Osi ahead of Denney? -
“Rabbits? Is there any rabbits here? George says I can tend the rabbits!”

1. I don't know either. 2. It's obvious 7-9 seems to be OK with Bills management. 3. I don't see them going 8-8, given Jauron, a make-shift O-line, a fragile QB and Lynch missing first 3 games and a much more difficult 2009 schedule. They made need to go 5-10 to dump Jauron, but you just don't know with his new 3 year extension.

Buffalo's descent into mediocrity came when ...

You could also say it was the year before, taking a RT with the 4th overall pick when you know you have lots of other holes. Not one start in the bunch with first 4 rounds. 2002 - Buffalo Bills Rd Sel # Player Position School 1 4 Mike Williams T Texas 2 36 Josh Reed WR Louisiana State 2 61 Ryan Denney DE Brigham Young 3 97 Coy Wire SS Stanford -
I also agree. and also this is probably the most aggressive the Bills FO have been in acquiring picks and expect this to pay dividends probably the 2010 season, with a new coach. BTW, I hope they pick up a good receiver in the draft and let him develop. After Owens leaves, Reed, Parrish (?), Hardy and Johnson are simpy not enough. Jauron can't keep on getting a free pass.

Jauron will cost the Bills 2 -3 games a year, that is on him.
