  1. Well, young lady, then show some respect to the coach who prepared this team to beat a team like the Ravens! McD knew his defense was undermanned, with a rookie corner (a late round pick), two safeties who have almost no game time together, and lotsa new pieces. Anyone who trashes him after a victory like last night will always just trash the man. His culture, his demeanor, his detail oriented approach to all aspects of the game, his leadership of players and coaches, his football and overall intelligence... make victories like this possible. But you call him a nasty name and ridicule him as your first move after the game! Seems pretty hateful to me! And makes no sense.
  2. Shoot, you really think the bashers feel the need to wait for a loss!? Think again--and watch this forum.. This is the worst time for the haters, as they are besides themselves after wins like this, waiting like little kids for Christmas Morning, ready to pounce all over the Bills and their leadership. BUT then the Bills win! And all of their plans are dashed, as their evil Santa never showed up. Their Christmas is cancelled. They will not be able to deal with this victory--see some of the opening shots already, immediately.... Just the start, of course.
  3. They have played so little together--the injuries in pre season really hut yesterday, especially against an offense like the Ravens'. An interception or two against Fields next week should move them forward, though Fields never looked so good as he did yesterday. He looked like a legitimate starting caliber NFL QB for the first time (that I have seen him play).
  4. Love this post! Great to hear that.
  5. Like I have said on here: when the Bills win the Super Bowl most of the haters will will still hate. It defines them., as if they cannot live without it. They will lay low for a few days, but the same hate of the Bills that defines their 'fandom' will take over and the hate will then continue unabated. Like an angry Yosemite Sam, crimson red, smoke pouring out of his ears, some 'fans', like this have no idea what to do after big victories. Their fury is obvious--they simply don't know what to do with their hatred after big important wins--see above, please... Soooooooooooooooooo predictable. And comically sad.
  6. Never have said that, never thought that, and likely never will! Loved the looks on Jackson, Henry, Harbaugh and the other Ravens as Josh Allen ripped the game awayfrom them--as they knew there was likely no way to stop him and the Bills. Now, keep improving the defense, and work the young guys like dogs early in practice each week.
  7. I was very happy during and after the last NFL draft--the Bills went heavily for defense, their clear need, needing a revamped secondary and D-line. It was the closest draft to what I had hoped for in memory. But the reality for me was that I wanted 2 starting caliber outside cornerbacks in the first 4 rounds--as the cupboard was almost bare for the Bills at outside CB. After Benford--no starter at all, and just as troubling, almost zero quality depth. Even with a high round pick, they would still be one injury away from a very detrimental defensive backfield. I commented on that need in several threads before the draft, and was very disappointed to see Tre White, who is no longer a starting CB from what I had seen, was signed as one of the options. If the Bills started White, I had thought, they would be in a very bad place. Super Bowl hopes diminished. All one had to do was look at their schedule and imagine White lined up against some of the most dynamic, best receivers in the game. Untenable. He simply could not cover some of those players consistently, meaning lots of big plays and scores by the opposition. Now, that awful answer, of White playing a lot of meaningful snaps, is best case scenario? But then he, of course, was injured. The cupboard is extremely bare. I am big a Beane supporter, but this was a mistake--any layman could see they were one injury away from TRE WHITE starting, and two injuries away from...Ingram? Strong, a very raw roookie? Unacceptable. The run defense should be better, and the offense excellent, but very hard to beat such a dynamic offense like the Ravens with what appears to be an almost catastrophic set of circumstances--and decisions--on the CB front. While the Ravens may have one of the best secondaries in the league, loaded with 1st round picks. Brain says: Ravens 35, Bills 31 My heart and my homer say Bills 30, Ravens 28. So, WTF, I will go with that! They will need some turnovers and for the offense to be clicking on all cylinders. But Beane better get someone in here to play CB, a few players probably, and soon...
  8. Excellent analysis here. What you say, how dunne 'researches' and 'writes', seems spot on, the pattern--have a target, then choose the limited and extremely biased sources to help you take direct aim. It is the main reason dunne is not working for someone else, why a reputable news outlet won't touch the clown. No legitimate news organization would let him do what he does--cherry pick his information in ways that show no fairness to the story, the target, and to use comically negative sources for the main points of his article. Almost any editor would see that for the biased crap that it is.
  9. Yikes--see bold and in general above... Love the "fascinating stuff" line! Don't forget to pick up a copy of the Weekly World News, see how aliens are walking among us, in key positions in our society Yup, fascinating stuff too. To some. Yeah, 'odd' that a hit man muckraker with zero journalistic integrity would just happen to (self) publish this the week of the season opener!?!? Odd is the word!
  10. Sad, pathetic even, that you give this muckraker any kind of legitimacy on this forum. They guy's main shtick is to create conflict and controversy so people buy what he is selling. As the Bleacher Report says about this: "In fact, this basically reads like a hit piece … which is not something I’d toss out lightly given the subject matter. Most of the quotes and stories come off as if they are from the perspective of someone with an axe to grind. And who has more of an axe to grind than staffers who were moved out after the failures of the 2024 Bears season? And that’s to say nothing about why it’s only coming out now, a few days before the Bears’ season is set to begin." Hmmm...sound familiar to you?? Shocking that anyone would take what dunne says to heart to the point where someone says, "Caleb is an absolute disaster". And implied: 'I have full trust and faith in everything dunne says, always.'
  11. Or a bathroom sink will do. Same thing on most game days, especially in the 90s. And at Grateful Dead concerts there.
  12. 8 million!! Get the two best corner backs available.
  13. Chargers over the Chiefs in LA. A team on the rise versus a team on the decline, we hope. Browns over the Bengals in Cleveland. All off season we have heard about how magnificent the Bengals' offense is. The Browns' defense takes over the game in some key moments. And maybe the Saints over the Cardinals in the Super Dome. I realize the first two are likely wishful thinking.
  14. I assume he is very cheap and if so it is a solid insurance policy if there was an injury or if someone isn't cutting it. I hope they can make an equally good find now at cornerback, as they are in almost desperate need.
  15. Soooooo well said. Indeed. Exactly. Hard to imagine someone named Big Vinny being so insightful and articulate. Fire McBeane. Now.
  16. Well, we will see starting in a bout a week now... But I think that the sharpness of this offense, the cohesion in areas such as the offensive line, the increased leadership and communication of our QB, the coaching, and the game planning etcetera are why this offense had so few turnovers and other mistakes this past year. It was no fluke, and luck was not the root cause of that, but high level execution was. It was functioning at a very high level because of the players and coaches. It is likely to be similar again this year. They may not have that same historically low number of mistakes, but the offense will be even more dominant regardless. As the same coaches and players who made it a great offense last year, the most efficient in the game, and the offense with the fewest mistakes because of that, are here again next year. And with another year under their belts, it gets even better this year. I think that is the way to look at that stat, but we will both see soon!
  17. When a team has that stat, the best in league history at negative plays, are you saying it is more or less luck, and not a productive of a high level offense, in coaching, talent, and scheme? It seems to me that the would be a hallmark of a great, prepared, know what they are doing extremely well offense--that they make very few mistakes. And I am certain that the vast majority of people saying that the Bills will do that (score like maniacs, break team records again, and maybe league records) again this upcoming season, are not saying it based on that more obscure data point, that most have not even heard of, but instead on the high level functioning of MANY aspects of the offense. You have reduced things to such a simplistic level they make no sense.
  18. Ok, but it is clear the better the running game, the more successful the Bills have been. After the Tampa Loss, when they were 7-6, McDermott (supposedly) put the hammer down, and Daboll ran and ran for the rest of the season, like he meant it, and they did not lose a game to end the season. Then, with Dismal Dorsey, well the running game became an afterthought, struck no fear in no one, and was fired. What did Brady do? Ran the stuffing out of the ball, and the Bills, struggling to stay in the playoff hunt before then, became dominant. And then last year, we all saw what a high quality running game, from the beginning of the season to the end, meant to this offense. So if you want a better offense, pray for an even better running game this year and you will get your wish. If you want Josh Allen to just throw more because you like that, think it should happen, then you will likely get a lot more passing yards--and a much less effective offense. And less wins. I am praying that the Bills never do that again under Allen. I don't think that is the implication in the "odd pairing" he mentions, is that it is statistically unlikely it can be duplicated--only that the two pieces of data do not match well to him. He may mean that, but that is not what he stated there. (It was probably statistically unlikely that in a 90's team that did not huddle regularly would win many many games and dominate the AFC--it had never happened before.) And not sure of your point in bold above-? The Bills had that great thing? "Relied heavily"-??
  19. How do you think they could have scored more last year, than the most points in the NFL by the end of the playoffs? What do you mean by "odd pairing"? It happened, they really did score that many points, and you watched the games, so saw how it worked, how it all came together. And didn't the Bills do just what you are saying here--instead of almost always putting the ball in Josh's hands in short yardage or goal line situations it more often went to a running back, like Cook or Davis-? Hence, what 18 TDS by Cook last year? So it seems you are contradicting yourself--you want the Bills to score more, think the passing game was inadequate, yet the Bills broke an all time team record and scored the most points in the league. On the other hand, you say you want less risk for Josh Allen. While the focus on the running game, and using the backs more in that, did just that last year. But you want less of that too. Seems your end goals don't match up with the way you think the Bills should get there. As what they are doing now, which led to the most points ever by the team and also less wear and tare on Allen, are exactly what you (and most Bills' fans) want. You don't like that they are achieving these goals by running more, running a lot actually, and you want them to get there in different ways. Why? It seems you should be screaming from the roof tops: More of what we did last year! As then we get more points, maybe best in the league again, and make best ever in the NFL, and less pressure on Josh Allen.
  20. Hard Knocks was made for a guy like him, who likes to make people laugh. But Coleman is super focused and seems to want nothing to do with any distractions right now. He knows what he wants. You can see it in his sharper route running and cuts and in his demeanor on the field and off. Just listen to what his teammates and coaches are saying about him--they consistently speak of the same kind of Growth in Coleman. Yup, week 1, against one of the best secondaries in the league, in a big game. Perfect place to show what he has become.
  21. The running game was the foundation of last year's success and will be again this year. I think that the run, and the backs catching the ball, were actually underutilized last year though statistically they had great numbers in the receiving game. The Bills have some of the best analytics people around and they know that, so this year MORE. Have always said: when Josh Allen has a great running game the Bills will be almost unbeatable.
  22. Lol The run game will be even more pronounced than last year, with Cook continuing his ascent, and ditto for Davis. And all 3 catching more balls too. Still shocked to see some disparaging the running game, not seeing with their own eyes what happens when Josh Allen has a complimentary running game that is almost as high level as his passing. The Bills had the most balanced scoring machine in NFL history last year, the only team ever with 30 rushing and 30 passing touchdowns. Not a coincidence that Josh won the MVP the same year that happened. If you want the Bills to win this year, you should want them to run the stuffing out of the ball--and not engage in such silly statements as in bold above.
  23. 1,000+ yards, with a high YPC 8+ TDS High quality starting receiver, looking more like the X guy as the season progresses and he does not regress, though he has some drops. Is known for not letting a bad play get to him, gets right back up and makes big plays
  24. OP should let people know what a "cold front" uniform is.. Not common knowledge.
  25. Can you imagine what a relief it must be for Parsons tonight, and how happy he must be? -He completely won the public contract dispute, simply by giving an accurate description of what happened. The more Jones talked the less Parsons needed to. -Parsons is earning almost $200 million the next four years, the most ever for a non quarterback. Almost all guaranteed. -He is now playing for a good defense in Green Bay, one that dramatically improved last year. And he is not playing on a defense that imploded last year, getting squashed even at home again and again. -Out of the limelight, moving from one of the most artificial atmospheres in the league, Dallas and ATT Stadium, to one of the most genuine, Green Bay, Wisconsin and the grass of Lambeau Field. --And best of all, no more jerry jones and the dysfunctional culture he creates. He will never have to do business with him again. I am sure he has good friends and colleagues in Dallas, but I bet Parsons is ecstatic about how this turned out.
