  1. Why zero reasons given for your contention, beyond the loss of the game? Why, after this game, is this so cemented in your head? Is it because of anything specific to this game, his coaching in it, or more based on previous ideas and your hatred for him in general? You say, "I have saw enough of the McDermott experience" but don't tell us what it was about this game that added to your ideas--what are they? What 'have you saw' in this game?
  2. Yes, as they played a very good game, even on defense considering their loss of key players. Their offense was very good to excellent for most of the game but... those three drops of great long Allen passes to Sherfield and then Diggs, more than the long missed field goal, were the game. I have been saying the #1, with a bullet, most vital need in the draft was wide receiver. This game made that even more clear. First round pick needs to be the best wide receiver available, then another one in the first 4 rounds, along with a big, fast all around back. Josh needs more weapons, clearly. In the end the Bills could not compensate for their injuries on defense and don't have enough weapons on offense, which will be addressed this off season. But I feel extremely confident in most other aspects of this team for next year. That, the last 8 weeks, and the game they played tonight, make this one a little easier to take.
  3. That is so well said, and that is true from beginning to end. Who could not agree with sharp, clear analysis such as "and take that back to Carolina and of course balanced for Josh" and "if leaned and grew in just a few ways would be elite". Dorsey is clearly "ahead of Brady" as you so clearly state.
  4. there you go, even more proof than has already been layed out in this thread, that Dorey was not the problem at all. A huuge mistake by Sean--will likely cost him his own job after the Bills complete this championship run. Thank you for adding that sharp take, info.
  5. So0 true--MCDermott just happened to get monumentally lucky that Brady's offense is so much more consistent and productive than Dorsey's this year, and that they have won almost every game since the change. Guys like McDermott always seem to get lucky like that, and that is why he is hated by some. One day that jerk Sean will get his too, and be fired, just like he shamelessly fired Dorsey for no good reason at all. You nailed it soo well, as it was all about McDermott forcing poor Dorsey to his dirty work. Honestly, Dorsey was one of a kind--and I hope the Browns, or even the Patriots get him for next year. The Pats really should consider it, though it would strike fear in any Bills' fan with half a brain. But I hope the Pegulas wait to fire ol' Sean (and the very lucky Brady) until after this almost miraculous turn around, playoff and championship run is complete!
  6. "Quite good" is an understatement! And no 'risk' at all, as Dorsey is almost a sure thing. And a raw deal here indeed, as any reasonable thinker would have to agree. Soo unfair the way he was treated here, as he was clearly leading this offense to greatness, getting the best out of his players, and, most importantly, the offense showing improvement here week after week after week... I am still hoping the Bills can find their way back to that glory and success they had under Dorsey. (Maybe Brady will get together with him in the off season to pick his brain?) In my view, they have just had historically good luck since he left and it is just a major coincidence that they went from 6-6 under Dorsey this year, to 7-1 under Brady. The luck of the draw. Any fool can clearly see that. Get it done, Browns!
  7. Yes! Yes! Amazing at the X's and O's of game planning!! Both before the game and during. A football genius. Have not seen anything like it on the Bills for years.
  8. Please let this happen!! As we all want the best and brightest coaches in the AFC, to sharpen the blade and make the Bills even better. A fine, fine choice should the Browns show some sense and grab him, and sign him to a long term contract, before some other team grabs this once in a lifetime OC candidate. Hard working, uses all of his good players, and in the best ways possible. Bill Walsh like in his game planning and ultra specific to the other team's capabilities--and one of the best coaches we have ever had in Buffalo at making in game changes in a speedy and superb manner. I shudder to think though that the Bills will then have to face this hard working genius next year-?, and then in the playoffs year after year, as that is what Dorsey will bring to their team, success. I couldn't wish this guy more success for all of the great things he did for this team...
  9. Bills 30, chefs 20 The offense continues to improve and become even more consistent. A big game from Knox? He has played well with more limited targets this season, but is due for a big game now. And that opens it up even more for Kincaid and Shakir. If true, then Diggs may light them up, against expectations, in the second half. And an unexpected player, such as Harty, makes some big plays in the passing game, something the Bills have not explored very much this year at all. Now is the time. The Bills need to do the unexpected this week (and the next two games after this) to keep developing their passing game. Would love to see Johnson and Murray get more carries on this cold day, making Cook even more effective for his touches, as they can better physically wear down the defense. I Know Bernard is out, but the D line makes up for it and has their best game of the year, which is saying a lot. And the 12th man have maybe their finest moment, by never letting up, and losing their voices for days, making up for the missing players. Every time the other team's defense has been glorified this year the Bills' defense has been the one that makes the most noise. Will be tougher today without Benford, Bernard, Dotson-? but it's called home sweet home for a reason. Go Bills!
  10. No, don't be, it is going to happen! Need the positive energy in the atmosphere. And think: this summer who would have ever believed Bills' country would be sweating, hoping, and praying over having Terrel Bernard in the lineup for a vital game? Looking forward to next year when he, with a great year under his belt, and Milano, are starting together. And the depth that that these unfortunate injuries will have created, with Dotson and now Williams really coming along. Will be one of the best groups of linebackers in the league. And the Super Bowl victory next month will only add to their confidence.
  11. I think both are back for one more year. This team does not give up big plays and their secondary, despite the injuries, has been fantastic. I think in about one month it will be a no brainer anyway..
  12. Never been so happy to see a bunch of 'questionable' players on the injury report! I think that Johnson, Douglas, and Bernard all play and Bernard looks like himself. If so, huge.
  13. Thanks, bud, but you have to admit there is absolutely nothing in this post or the link that would make one 95% certain, (or even 5% likely) of Rivera becoming the D coordinator, or that it was "likely". There is not one current detail, fact, that indicates that, wouldn't you agree? Why not just say you want it to happen and tell us why?
  14. Lol, a joke or does he really have one?
  15. Hmm, surprising... Maybe now Jones will fire the real culprit, the main reason the girls have not even been a contender since their last SB win--himself. Been so obvious to me for years, and more so each year. True of how he builds his team and just as relevant is the way he conducts himself in the media and to his players. He will never win a SB again, as long as he is the GM and also continues his undermining of his team with almost every public statement. His post game talk this week to the team was just more of the same, stressing 'this is the Cowboys and we win". He is like an awful parent who just keeps digging his heels in, despite his obviously misguided actions and words, causing the poor kid to get worse and worse. No, no you don't win, Jerry, almost never winning a meaningful game against a good team--and speeches like that are the root cause in my view... The girls will thankfully continue to be a non factor, a punch line, until he turns the reigns over to a non-family member. But that may not happen.
  16. Good points there, though 'credible' I think is an understatement! They are kicking kiester and continued to do so even after losing one vital starter after another on Monday. It makes sense that he brings in some coaching help. He now knows more about the kind of help he would need to make this even smoother for him as both a head coach and D coordinator, so can now get some extra coaches in there to make it all easier. But I don't think that person will be a designated defensive coordinator. Is there any limit to how many coaches a team can have or how much the payroll for coaches is? I think the answer is no to both but am not sure.
  17. Can you please give us some facts that would in any way support your extremely specific contentions? How is it 95% likely, and what facts do you have that it is "likely already in the works"? Obviously you have information to back this up and are not just spewing nonsense that popped into your head one day. Please share the info and facts that you have, as I am eager to find out what specific information you have for this vital change you indicate is almost a sure thing.
  18. My thoughts on hiring a defensive coordinator for next year have changed dramatically over the last few months. I now believe that will not happen. With our former incompetent OC, it was an almost overwhelming challenge for McDermott to be both the head coach and the D coordinator, as his shcmodrick OC wrecked the offense and team. McDermott could not then be the defacto O coordinator too, monitor and direct that idiot, and also coach the team. But now, with the makings of a good coordinator in Brady, a 6-1 record since he took over, and the one loss at the hands of a 59 yard field goal, I think McDermott almost has to be the D coordinator next year too. He has been a fantastic defensive coordinator. No defensive coordinator is even close to him as far as coaching this year. The only other candidate for best D coordinator this year would be Spagnuolo, as a a coach like Cleveland's Schwartz had teams that got blown out on the road. (He was the one I wanted for us this year--that would have been a mistake.) This year's Bills' defense was one of the most disciplined, well prepared, aggressive, play every snap as if it was the last units I have ever seen on this team--and add in his expert game plans, schemes, in game changes, and the overcoming of an almost comical amount of major injuries and it may be the best coaching job I have ever seen by a Bills D coordinator. Rivera! Come on--would not even be a consideration by McDermott, despite his history with him. I think Rivera retires this year, should. Or maybe take some time off to rejuvenate, change.
  19. Guys, he is just kidding! No one can be that ignorant of the facts, or that stupid, to think that McDermott is on the hot seat!
  20. As much as McDermot would probably like to just be a head coach again, his success this year will almost assuredly mean he will be the defensive coordinator again next year. One of the most disciplined, hard working, best schemed, consistent units in the NFL, if not the best.
  21. Bills 34, the squished, 13 Hopefully the Bills establish what they did in the 2nd Jets game which was the offense I was calling and hoping for for several years--throw the ball short to intermediate, with designed routes for the backs on many plays, and with Shakir, Kincaid, Davis, Diggs and Harty in on the diverse action. It was the first time in a while that the offense was fun to watch, interesting. It was a like a pinball machine, with so many things to choose from right in front of Allen. This would then open the running game up and the longer passes. But for some reason that approach has been missing the last few weeks, making for more precarious games. Today I say to throw it short all over the place early, almost ditching the run early. Crossing routes and slants please. The Bills have been the most running team in the NFL lately, so today do something different--use the short, diverse dynamic passing game, which Allen excels at, to go after this weakened defense. Then, dominate them on the ground with all of the backs getting lots of touches, with some passes sprinkled in. (Or, if they have huge success running early like they did against the girls, run all game long! But it cannot be just Cook, he is not that kind of back, and needs to be Johnson and Murray too.)
  22. Yes, thanks. And really, hopefully helping the whole family change their ways now and going forward. If I keep it going long enough usually one of the kids or the mom starts crying. That means it's working.
  23. Trying to spread bad karma for the fish whenever I can. For example, I verbally bully people if they are wearing fish gear, especially women and children.
  24. The OP is clearly just joking here for all of you not getting it. No one can actually be that ignorant. Very funny!
