  1. I don't think either are the caliber player of Watkins. Nor do I think they have superstar potential that Watkins has.
  2. Exactly. Draft picks are valuable until the draft. I wouldn't disagree that the Bills need depth players. I would say they traded up for Jones and Dawkins, so what are they doing? It's easier to say nobody wants to be here and sell low to justify them leaving. I'd rather the Bills go full out tank then doing what they're doing.
  3. The moves don't make sense in conjunction with the other moves the team has made. Why bring in Boldin? Why have Taylor on the roster? They've gotta be worse than the Jets or 9ers to get their guy at QB. Don't sell 24 year old players and say you're building for the future. He should've been part of the future. It's hard to sell another rebuild when they've gone 17 years without making the playoffs. McDermott's different Beane is different, just like Gailey, Nix, Marrone, Jauron, Rex were different when they were hired. If Tyrod is cut tomorrow I would agree with the moves more. If they're trading out of drafting a QB in the draft then trading their most talented player I want the team to get their guy. Not the guy whose leftover after the 9ers and Jets pick. These moves are clearly about getting a QB. Don't try to hide it with Taylor. I can't not root for the Bills and will hope they win on Sundays, yet after the season winning those 6 or so games will be a setback for the franchise.
  4. Yates is awful. Hopefully he's just a body for camp and the preseason. If Taylor is hurt I would rather see Peterman play. Also if Taylor were to get hurt and miss an extended period I don't think it'd be difficult to re-sign Yates.
  5. No way he stays two more years. The more tape GM's get on a guy the more they justify wasting early picks on an OT. Not sure if he's the consensus 1 pick right now. Rosen, Allen, Darnold are all in the running. Next tier right now appears to be Rudolph and Falk which seems to be more likely for the Bills.
  6. I think it's a case of some other teams trash being better than the Bills trash. Yates is a fringe NFL player who may not make the team. Which is about the same as Manuel in Oakland. If Peterman shows anything in the preseason I don't think Yates will make the roster and Jones is as good as gone.
  7. The Bills are 1-10 when Taylor attempts 30 or more passes. Which would make sense as a team losing has to throw more. Well 8 of the games were decided by 8 points or less. I'd say the best game Taylor played he threw the ball 12 times in 2015. The QB play hasn't been good enough because the Bills haven't valued the QB position. Hopefully it changes but it's easier for a GM to miss on the Greg Robinsons of the world than Jared Goffs. Also the drought weighs heavily. The justification we use is that Taylor is the best option for 2017; and he is. For the long-term future of the team he's at best a guy that the Chiefs just decided wasn't good enough to win a Super Bowl.
  8. The drought weights heavily on people. They'd rather get a guy that'll get them to 9-7 and sneak into the playoffs and get blown out. Tyrod Taylor, Alex Smith, Andy Dalton are the worst type of QB's to have. They're decent and fans will want teams to build the team around them. But they're never making anybody better around them, I'd say they make players worst around them. But hey 8-8 at least you're not the Browns.
  9. Ya all picks are a crap chute. It's just that taking Myles Garrett may improve Cleveland by a win or two max while hitting on a QB sets the franchise up for years. The Bills are hoping that Taylor can give them an Alex Smith type year so they can get blown out in the playoffs. KC decided it wasn't good enough and Alex Smith wasn't good enough. That's the Bills goal, something that's not good enough.
  10. Sammy should be a building block for the franchise. Not picking up the option was a terrible move. Trade him or he leaves the Bills have the worst WR's in the league. Right now with him they're extremely weak.
  11. So they'll be the same team they've been. Just bad enough to miss on one of the top QBs. I think they're probably a 5 win team. The final 6 game stretch is brutal. Also going cross country to play the Chargers won't be easy.
  12. If the extra 1st rd pick they got from KC turns into Darnold or Rosen then it's an A. Based on the players they picked D.
  13. Is their a position where guys succeed more than fail in the 1st?
  14. 1. Tribusky 2. Watson 3. Mahomes 4. Kizer 5. Mike Williams
  15. Pass on T.Y. Hilton and it's not talked about pass on Russel Wilson and Kirk Cousins in the same draft and you'll never stop hearing about it. Draft a QB play him and if he falls on his face do the same thing next year.
  16. Worked out nicely for the Falcons getting Jones. Browns have traded down recently and hasn't worked for them.
  17. Winfield was good for a long time. He got two big contracts from the Vikings. Clements was the highest paid defensive player in league history when SF signed him. McKelvin as ok, Gilmore is underrated and Whitner was a starting caliber S. Not all 1st rd picks are stars. Everybody overpays in free agency.
  18. The Raiders are a terrible team? The Bills lost to the Jets with Tyrod starting at home in prime time. Bills beat New England and their 3rd string QB. That'd be the best argument for the Bills beating the Raiders. I'd expect Carr to be back next year regardless and not sure if Taylor will be starting if the Bills take a QB early.
  19. If the question is EJ vs Tyrod, I don't think Tyrod is good but obviously would rather have him to win. If it's who will win Oakland vs Buffalo with Taylor starting vs EJ starting for Oakland I think the Raider win . From all reports EJ was a good guy good teammate. Most backup QBs are pretty terrible.
  20. Need to end up with the 1 or 2 pick. The options you listed would help that. I think Cardale would be a better option to go 2-14 and he'd be just as intriguing to many. I'd love to go all in for Rosen or Darnold but I think too many teams are on par or worse than the Bills with or without Taylor.
  21. Cardale Jones is released before the end of the season.
  22. Cardale Jones would give the Bills the best chance to get a franchise QB in 2018. Whether that be Darnold or Rosen.
  23. Jalen Hurts has the accuracy of E.J. Manuel.
  24. No, I'd sell the false hope of developing Jones and sign a career back-up. Also draft a QB in the 4th or 5th again and sell that we're looking for a franchise QB. Finish 1-15 fire Anthony Lynn or whatever bottom tier candidate that is interested in the Bills job right now. Hope Darnold and Rosen declare pick 1 or 2 and they attract a better candidate. I'd reference the Sabres play for Eichel as a blue print.
