I think #91 has a big smile on his face today...

Sunday was the first game this season I have watched end to end and it was live...coaching fall baseball has gotten in the way(For another thread) Kincaid has taken most of the short yardage slot routes Beasely used to run. He's really doing a good job with this limited route tree and his size, power and shifty running get the Bills two or three extra yards most plays. He will break one for another 15 yards or so in the next couple of games. Other players, including Diggs are taking the longer slot routes. Gabe Davis' touchdown against the Phins was from the inside on a great route combination with the outside receiver for example. I also believe Kincaid will get a more complex route tree with higher depth routes over the course of the season. I like the way they are using Kincaid and think his role only gets progressively greater from here.

Walking out of my office late this afternoon on Grand Avenue in Saint Paul, MN, a young graduate student at Macalester College was proudly wearing her classic logo Bills sweatshirt. We exchanged Go Bills - she did her undergrad at Canisius and is doing graduate work here. We both agreed that the Bills need to beat the stuffin' out of the Jets. MSP has a very active Bills Backers group...

3rd rounder next year....I am okay with that return and I liked Edmunds a lot. Edmunds is a tremendous athlete with wonderful size and speed, but I am pretty sure he will never be an instinct driven MLB. I will be interested to see how Dorian Williams develops this year -- I believe Coach Babich and McD have plans to eventually train him in both positions... His instincts seem really, really good.

Very true on the Super Bowl No Saint...it all ebbs and flows... Not speculating on what he was thinking when he said this - but there's a difference between acquiring names and acquiring players....he would probably argue that winning the offseason is acquiring players for value...rather than big splashes
