Benford, Dane Jackson, Cam Lewis, Bernard all performed in select situations (and failed in others) when required...its called developing. Elam spent most of the year on IR with by all accounts was debilitating foot injury. This impacted him as far back as training camp. He was neck and neck with Benford their rookie year. Shakir developed through hard off-season work with Moulds, and just FYI, there is this thing called game planning - he got significant chances under Brady that maybe Dorsey didn't scheme to.... This staff has an eye for talent at certain positions. If you want to dispute that and say they are trash fine..but I don't share that opinion. Like Leonard Floyd and D'Quan Jones

Its paid dividends...there is a lot of evaluative talent on the staff....and good communication between the Coaching staff and the personnel team on system fits...particularly at LB and in the Secondary.

Agreed on this. I think its in a Mike Shula role...a consultant to all the D coaches. Senior Defensive Assistant if his health is good. Also, watch Dallas if they lose Quinn for Rivera as DC. He has a house there already. For the Bills on the D side, I think there will be some title shifting but essentially the set-up will be the same as this year. The last 5 weeks have likely convinced Coach McD that he can call the D plays. There may be a D Coordinator in name only but I think McD calls the plays.
