Excellent Pettine article in the Buffalo news

That's assuming that this is a traditional 3-4, which they've denied. They are calling it a hybrid with all kinds of wrinkles which included 4-3 plays. We'll see how it all plays out, but to your point, I think they brought in Alan Branch as a nose tackle. -

Aaron Rodgers to give up salary for the year?
HamSandwhich replied to NoSaint's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mike and Mike had a field day reading all of Rodger's quotes this morning. I actually cringed a bit myself for Rodgers. Fact of the matter is that he was lied to by Braun. He believed his bud, and I'd bet, more than half of you would proclaim innocents for your friend if he/she told you they didn't do it. -
I understand the concern some of you are putting forth, believe me. I myself wish he would make some better choices sometimes. However, one cannot argue, he's been an upstanding citizen. There are bigger fish to fry in the realm of atheletes gone awry. It's not so bad with Stevie. He's a 26 year old who's enjoying his life. Just as has been pointed out in this thread, he's not breaking laws. That's saying a LOT in the current climate of professional sports. Just today we hear about Von Miller. Cut him some slack. He's worked hard, he's arrived, now let him have a little fun. I think a lot of you would be doing the same. As far as what kind of standard should be set, I would also argue that that line is being blurred more and more with this current generation also. It seems that so much more is acceptable every year. It's a scary proposition in some respects. While we are constantly moving forward in some areas, it appears to me that we are quickly regressing in our social lives. This may be due to the ever increasing access to information and the smaller and smaller emphasis on face to face social activity that breeds respect for one another. All these message board hero's can sit behind their keyboards and spew hatred or inappropriate things. I digress, we could go on and on about this.

Not really, I'm saying the idea of social norm is in the "eye of the beholder" so to speak. Just because Eball sees a social norm as one thing, does not mean another person sees it that way. I would opine, in fact, that his type of behavior is becoming the "social norm" to more and more people with the new generations coming through.

I disagree with your assessment that this is not a "social norm". It depends in what social group you're attributing this to. Do you think there are no other grown ups out there that wear shirts that can be constured as inappropriate? In that group of people, it would be socially acceptable. Your assertion is that in your social norm, this is a violation. Each person has his or her own idea of a social norm, its completely subjective.

I think this is going a little too far. It seems as though you're heaping all the blame of our losing seasons on SJ. I don't believe the blame falls squarely on any one person, let alone SJ. SJ has done nothing but produce year after year. Is he the top WR1 in the league, no, but he can run with the best of them, save for maybe Megatron (but who's in his class anyway?). This seems like a case of misplaced blame. Do you have a personal vendetta against him? Did he do something to you? He's just having some fun. As long as he's not breaking the law, i'll enjoy his antics. They're fun and light hearted. Also, Stevie is a great ambassador of Bills. I've never seen him say a single bad thing, only offer glowing reviews and wears his allegence on his sleeve. I love me some Stevie.

I'll add that I think there's a radical element out there that still wishes to see Stevie fall flat, only because, he is immature. To those I would say, who's the immature one, the one wishing he fell hard, or Stevie? Stevie has his fun, but as I've said earlier, he's a hard worker (nevermind that he doesnt work in the offseason, that was debunked) and he does what he has to on the field.
