  1. I mean- He basically signed a 1 year 4.1 million dollar deal with Carolina in the prime of his career. That's a very modest contract for a corner , and that's barely even starting corner money. I do think he's a below average corner, and I can almost guarantee the contract he just signed with the Bills will reflect that. If he's the 4th corner, fine. But if it ends up being him and a rookie competing for the starting job (which I think it will be), then no I'm not thrilled at all with it
  2. I'm 100 percent relaxed bud lol. Dane will most likely be in competition for a starting role with a corner they draft in one of their first 3 picks. You're in disagreement with that?
  3. The Hoecht one is even more bizarre to me . Its like ok, you know he has a suspension coming. Who the hell is even coming close to paying him the contract he got? What a joke
  4. So what's the dead cap if we cut them both... 😅
  5. I would respectfully disagree. He did "fine". But we know who he is. If somehow he starts, Or he has to play because of injury which is very probable at some point, We are getting a mediocre player inserted in the lineup I would rather someone with some upside/traits personally. (Not Elam though lol)
  6. Not a fan of this at all. Not that he's horrible- Just wanted someone else as Dane has a lot of limitations . The rookie they draft better be good lol
  7. This should net us a nice comp pick. Can't see a world where he makes under 20 mil
  8. Nick by a wide margin. Nick is a top 5, (probably even top 3) pass rusher in the game.
  9. I'm not saying that as I was giving an extreme example- My point is teams start to get in trouble with the cap when you start to restructure older players who can't produce at the same level. (Bills went through it last year, Miami now, SF etc)
  10. You didn't fully read what I wrote. I said you should only restructure guys you know will be on the team for multiple years (He will be) AND can provide the same high level of impact. You think he will still be elite at 32-33? Pretty big gamble my friend
  11. Not one bit. I said restructuring mahomes made sense, didn't I? Chris jones is risky. Hes turning 31. That cap hit is going to balloon. If he doesn't play at a pro bowl level , thats gonna screw them big time over the next few years. You should only restructure deals for guys you know will be on the team for multiple years and can provide the same high impact. Chris jones is a gamble with his age
  12. Ya he did say he would help the run defence.
  13. Asked my buddy who's a diehard steeler fan and he said: -Overall does his job -Very streaky player -Will have a great game but then will disappear for a while -Most of the times you don't notice him. Edit: He also added he's pretty good on run defence don't shoot the messenger, just sharing this from a Steelers fan perspective
  14. The Mahomes one of course makes sense- But the Chris jones re structure could bite them down the road. Hes still amazing, but turns 31 in July and has a lot of miles on him
  15. Good post. i hate to say it but i think a sneaky team this year will be New England. Not to say they will pass the Bills. But they kind of remind me a bit of the 2019 Bills when Josh was coming into his second year. In saying that- NE has a lot of work to do to get Maye more weapons
  16. I hear you- I just don't see where he fits in. As I can't see them having 6 DEs active on game day. (Assuming they draft a guy relatively high) But if they classify Hoecht as a DT, then that changes the numbers at DE which would help Solomon Ya good call on AJ- Didn't really even think about that, but could be an option.
  17. True- But where does he fit in? I can't see the bills dressing 6 DEs on game day very often. (If at all) I would bet he's DE6 who makes the team, but is inactive on game days unless someone gets hurt
  18. Ya I hear you- If the bills could have gotten Hendrickson for let's say a 2nd and a 5th, and got him around 30 mil, I would have done that. But apparently Cincis asking price was getting ridiculously high. I wouldn't trade the farm for Hendrickson. (Garrett I would have if he was available)
  19. Draft a DE in round 1 or 2 Then you got: Bosa Greg Hoecht Rookie Epenesa Not a bad 5. Hoping they draft a big run stuffing 1 tech with one of their first 3 picks as well
  20. Hendrickson is def way better. But you got to trade a bunch of assets and pay him 30-35 million
  21. I love the risk. Got to take a bit of a swing
  22. Sign a lower/moderate FA and draft a CB in the 2nd round. Whoever wins the battle in camp gets the CB2 job
  23. Both you guys make good points IMO. The advanced stats do show that he is a good separator. But I do lean towards your side of the argument- He hasn't really produced a lot in 4 years. (2022 he was descent) It does beg the question- If his advanced stats are good and he's playing with a good QB in Justin Herbert, why hasn't he produced much. Which is a bit concerning IMO
