  1. Was he ever a top 3-4 receiver in the league? Maybe 2020, on the fringe. Probably was borderline elite then, but he's definitely not now, that's for sure
  2. I can't see a scenario where Beane doesn't do it. It's a no brainer ImO.
  3. Ya, I mean to your point Theres a reason why top pass rushers get paid 30-35 per year and corners are 20-25. So I would agree pass rush is slightly more important, but definitely need both to have an elite defence. (As we both agree on)
  4. Now this is true. But it also goes both ways. If your corners can't cover for 2 seconds, the pass rush doesn't matter unless the o line is blowing assignments left, right and centre. It has to Be a marriage between the pass rush and coverage in order to have a great defence. Chiefs had it all. Great pass rush, and great coverage which made them a top 3 defence all season long
  5. Yep. I think Oliver hit is ceiling which is fine as he's a very solid player. Bernard and Kincaid def have the potential to be elite
  6. The good news is that Elam isn't CB2 sir. Will be Douglas and Benford with most likely Elam as the 3rd Yep this is exactly my opinion on the state of their team as well
  7. Ya this is exactly it. You got to think Beane knew they were missing some elite talent when they swung for the fences with Von in 2022. Just unfortunately did not workout for them and it's gonna be a big relief when his contract clears off the books Ok maybe I used the word "game breakers" a bit loosely. But they are elite players who are a massive part of a top 3 defence, who went on to win a superbowl .
  8. I know, I understand how a successful defence works. The coverage has to marry the pass rush, and vice versa. Like I could argue and say Chris jones wouldn't make an impact as well if the corners can't cover for 2 seconds If you don't think they are game breakers, all good. We will just have to respectfully agree to disagree
  9. Its not just against SF. Their defence was top 3 in the nfl all season. I don't think Purdy is good as well, but at the end of the day they had a very successful passing offence all season long because of all Their weapons
  10. I don't know though. Those guys are unreal. Like even in the SB- Purdy kept testing them and it didn't work out at all. And that's with throwing to Aiyuk/samuel, very good receivers. When he started to go to Jennings, that's where he had success. I think those guys are game breakers as they dictate matchups, but that's just my opinion I hear you. He just didn't perform too well in key situations ImO -Gave up game winning TD to Gesicki -Set up game winning field goal for Denver after blatant 25 yard PI call. And let's be honest, he got away with murder when he hauled down Darren Waller in that giants last play. Thats a lot of key mistakes for an "elite" player in my humble opinion
  11. I agree with you. I just put him in based on the criteria I put in as I wanted some objectivity. I also don't think he's an elite player
  12. For sure I don't disagree with you that the bills don't have good to very good players. Like Oliver, Dawkins, cook, Douglas, bernard fit that bucket, plus even some more probably. But I still think they lack true game breakers outside of Josh.
  13. You think Ed Oliver is a top 3 DT in this league? Chris Jones, Aaron donald, Maduabuike, Jeffrey Simmons, Dexter Lawrence? Probably a few more as well you can debate ahead of Oliver
  14. If you read my post, I was putting any all pros as elite as I wanted to bring some objectively to this. And he was voted 1st team all pro. Taron isn't elite either in my opinion but I put him in because he was voted 2nd team all pro
  15. Ya I agree. Taron in my opinion is a very good player, but isn't elite. I was just trying to bring a little objectivity to it as he did get voted 2nd team all pro, so by the rule I made, had to technically say he was "elite"
  16. Ya when you really break it down kinda like I did , it's crazy how much Josh carries this team.
  17. So far this is going better than I thought, thought I would be getting a bit of disagreement haha
  18. Comparing to the chiefs and 49ers the 2 SB teams, here's how I'm going to categorize as elite: -Made 1st team/2nd all pro last year -Top 3/4 at position. (For example, Josh and Mahomes are elite even though they didn't get voted all pros) So for the bills I got 3 players but technically only 2 last year cause the Milano injury. -Josh, Milano, Taron. Chiefs: 7 players -Mahomes, Kelce, thuney, humphries, C Jones, Mcduffie, Sneed 49ers: Hufanga got hurt so technically 7 players -Mccafery, Aiyuk, T Williams, Kittle, Bosa, Warner, Hufanga, Chardavious Ward (I didn't include their fullback) So in the playoffs if you factor in injuries, bills had 2 "elite" players based on the all pro selection/my opinion. Chiefs 7 And 49ers 7 with the Hufanga injury. While the bills have a lot of good to very good players, I really think they are missing some game breakers on this team. What do you guys think?
  19. I know, but they probably still will be able to. its like Von miller- bills can get out of his deal after this season and save a few million even though they re structured after year 1. He also signed a "5 year" contract, but it really was 3 years
  20. Let's say they don't re structure, and they cut Knox after this year. Do you know what the savings would be?
  21. I wonder if this means Patriots are commiting to Daniels or Maye as their first pick
  22. Yep. And Schultz 3 years 36. (He's way more dynamic than Knox) Re structuring average players who are already overpaid is how you get in trouble with the cap, so I hope the bills don't re structure as well
  23. I hope the bills don't re structure Knox. i believe there's an out after next year, and I would rather cut ties with his contract opposed to committing to it longer Whether you're a Knox fan or not, Objectively it's a bad contract, so why would you marry yourself to it
