Yep. McDermott should have never let go of the play calling.
I thought the first half of 2023 when he called plays was pretty bad. But he really turned it around after that eagles loss and they were pretty dominant down the stretch.
Babich is completely incompetent IMO
Biggest concern I still have for the Bills defence is what is their identity? For example..
Spags/Chiefs- You know they wanna blitz and be aggressive.
Leslie Frazier- Wanted to rush 4 and play a lot of zone. (Even though I disagree with that strategy but at least it's an identity)
4 weeks in and I don't think Babich has established any identity with the defence. His play calling and scheme just seems random and sporadic
I legitimately haven't seen him won many, if any clean pass rush snaps this year.
He made some good plays in the run game including the 2 point conversion stuff.
But his pass rush still looks non existent to me
Even if they were 0-3, it's still crazy to count them out.
They have gotten to the past 3 super bowls for a reason. Last time I checked Mahomes, Kelce, Chris jones, Andy Reid and Spags are still there
It's still way too early. A lot of people last week also said the chiefs were done.
Baltimore started the season slow last year also.
I still can't see how Pittsburgh or Cinci wins the division over them
Let me ask you this then to see where you're really at - If you had to pick Spags or McDermott to coach a defence in a playoff game. Who are you taking?
You are a very knowledgeable poster but your hate on Spags is bizarre to me. His defence since 2023 has the lowest PPG and he's coached 4 Super Bowl defences, including holding the greatest offence of all time to 14 points in the Super Bowl. (NE 2007)
He is one of the better defensive coordinators to ever coach the game
My problem with that strategy is you keep the best player in Josh Allen on the sidelines.
I would much rather the bills play aggressive and if the other team gets a big play, who cares. You got 17 to get it back
