I honestly give up trying to convince people. Some people have it drilled in their mind that McD is a god and that it was a great decision to punt because they "won the game".

Man everything wasn't riding on that one play lol. You are making it sound like it was 4th and 10 from their own 20. It was 4th and 1 from the Colts 40. If they don't get it, stop the colts and you still get the ball back at the 20 yard line with plenty of time... It really wasn't that big of a risk to go for it

What do you mean don;t worry about the tie? You understand that if they tied, they would basically be eliminated. Right? That's the main thing I think you are missing here. If the tie helps them then yes punting is smart. But the tie is virtually the same as a loss

Lol We'll agree to disagree. I think the bills lose or tie that game 75 percent of the time if he punts. Today, the 25 percent went their way. Doesn't mean it's the right decision to me. But like I said, we'll agree to disagree

I don't. I think they got very very lucky on multiple plays. Getting one yard on 4th and 1 and then picking up another first down to set yourself up in field goal range seems a lot more realistic with less factors involved to win. Opposed to you know,.. stopping the other team and then completing a hail Mary with your 3rd string quarterback to 4th receiver in a massive Snow storm...

Put it this way. I strongly disagree with the decision to punt. And that has nothing to do with the odds ESPN had or whatever. If you agree with it then that's your opinion and fair enough. But don't say it was the correct decision just because they won the game..

No they would have most likely only needed another 20 yards and a field goal pretty much would have won the game. That to me has a 10 times better chance to Win opposing to stopping the Colts and going roughly 50 yards with a 3rd string QB... I really don't get how people disagree with that.

They didn't need to go 90 yards. They needed 2 first downs and the Bills season would have been over. If Brissett hits Hilton who is wide open, the Bills would have all been eliminated from the playoffs today. That's literally how close they were from being eliminated

What are better odds. To get the 4th and 1 and pick up another 15 to yards to basically win the game? Or to hope your defence stops them, and you need roughly a 50 yard drive with 2 minutes to go with your 3rd string QB? Pretty easy decision for me and that's to pick up the 4th and 1 and then get another 15 yards on top of it

Ya way too conservative for my liking. I will say it's amazing he has this team at 7 and 6 cause they really don't have much talent. But he's got a lot to learn going forward, especially clock management and got to be more aggressive

There are alot of Sean McDermott apologists. I said one negative thing about him and got ripped on by multiple posters. The call to punt in my opinion was ridiculous. The luck of the Irish saved him that day because if that game ends up a tie, he rightfully would have been crucified all week

Just cause they won doesn't make it the right decision. You ever play poker? Its like saying, "I made the right decision by going all in with 2, 7 off suit vs pocket aces because I won". You got to play the odds. There will obviously be times where the underdog odds are going to workout, but doesn't mean it's correct

Either way you slice it, it wasn't the right decision. Yes they won. Because brisette missed a wide open Hilton. Because somehow webb completed a 50 yard bomb to their 4th receiver. I bet 8 out of 10 times if he punts there, the game ends in a tie and the bills are out of the playoffs
