  1. Mike Tolbert says “wow that’s impressive “!
  2. Ya they were very awful in terms of run blocking. Even Mccafery had a terrible yards per carry average
  3. But the problem right now is the inconsistent calls on PI. One time they will call something so soft. And then the other time they will miss something blatant. That’s the biggest issue in my opinion and a lot of the times they are game changing calls.
  4. Would you rather have 5 long pass interference calls a game? And over half of those are lame calls? Let the players play more and don’t call it unless it’s bad. Penalties are killing the game, not lack of penalties
  5. True. It’s like with KC, no one was calling for Patrick Mahomes the first 10 weeks. But the problem is if TT struggles like Smith for a few games, the roar from the fans and media to play the rookie will be insane here
  6. Ya the pash Rush was so disappointing last year. I can’t even imagine how good this defence could be with a solid pass rush and their shut down secondary
  7. Ya fair enough. I remember them being outstanding against KC. Bad against NE. Average against the Colts. Mediocre against the Dolphins. Average against NE. And Pretty good the last game. So I guess you can say they for sure got better after those 3 awful games. But I also think they got better because their secondary was lock down and they could commit 7-8 guys to the box and put an emphasis on stopping the run.
  8. Especially after that Oakland game. Just fell apart mid season
  9. I was on the Mcd thread where he was saying they aren't as far along as people think. Which is true and it got me thinking. The Bills went 9-7 with an objectively awful offence, and a.... Then I went blank thinking about their defence. Some games they were opportunistic. Some games they were shut down. Some games they were mediocre. And some games they were just plain awful. So how would you overall rank their defense last year? I was thinking an above average defense that was very opportunistic and lucky at times. (I didn't look at any stats as I was just going off my memory for those 17 games)
  10. A prime example as well is the Miami Dolphins. They went what, 10-6 in 2016? They shouldn't have been 10-6 and got lots of breaks that season. Then look at them this year. Granted they had lots of adversity with the hurricane and losing Tannehill, but they fell right back down to earth
  11. He is correct. Technically last year was the year the Bills were supposed to get 4-5 wins. And this year would be the year they would try to improve on that and maybe get to 8 wins. They way over achieved last year, and let's be honest, got a lot of breaks along the way. I like the direction they are going, but I think they are a few years away from being a legit contender
  12. Robert Royal- Was good for a good play, bad play, and a penalty a game
  13. I’m not too sure if you are agreeing or disagreeing with me to be honest. They have different styles but I mean in terms of overall production so far in their career, there isn’t much of a difference. TT does a few things better, but Bridgewater does a few things better as well.
  14. Fitz isn’t scared to Throw the ball lol. Does that make him an upgrade?
  15. Offsides are incidental penalties though. No one purposely goes offside. Players would intentionally hall people down if they were beat
  16. If it’s 3rd and long and a defender is even somewhat beat, he would just pull the receiver down because it would still be 3rd down after the foul. He wouldn’t risk giving up the yards for the first down They would just pull the receivers down on 3rd and long if they were even somewhat beat. It would just result in more flags and less big plays
  17. I hear your points. The way I look at it is the officials already have so much on their plate and are pretty incompetent for the most part. If they add discretion/judgement to the rule, it just puts more on their plate and even more of a chance they mess it up lol. Thats personally the way I see it
  18. They challenge PI calls in the CFL and in my opinion it’s pretty annoying and kills the flow of the game even more. I would just let the players play more and don’t call it unless it’s blatant
  19. I can see both sides. 1. A long pass interference call can seriously impact the game. And a lot of the time those calls are very ticky tack. 2. On the other side, players will just tackle the player if they are beat on a deep throw. They would be more than happy to concede the 15 yards. It’s a lose lose either way in my opinion. Overall I would slightly prefer them to keep the rule as is, but let the players play more and don’t call it PI unless it really impacts the play.
  20. You are definitely right in saying stats don't tell the whole story, but at the end of the day stats do equal production for the most part, so you must factor that in when evaluating a player. He makes more plays than TT but he also makes more mistakes than him. Now I am of course not an expert in knowing Daboll's offence (I know it a bit), and I am not an expert in knowing if Bridgewater would be an amazing fit for it. So I will defer that point to you if you believe Bridgewater would be a solid fit there. I was basing my opinion on three things. Watching Bridgewater play, his lack of production, and him not playing for 3 years. Those three things in my opinion, leads me to believe that he won't be an upgrade over TT. Maybe I am wrong and he lights in up and is a good fit with Daboll. Hard to say now and no one really knows of course. We'll probably have to agree to disagree on this one
  21. How does that not make sense? I literally listed like 5 different stats, are we just supposed to ignore that? Of course every team has different circumstances, but stats are obviously going to be factored in when measuring different players on different teams. I have watched Bridgewater play and I don't see anything special out of him. And the mediocre stats back it up. Like I said he has a higher ceiling. But his first two years as a starter were not impressive. Like I also said, he hasn't played in almost 3 years. I don't want a QB who was average at best 3 years ago as the bridge QB. I don't see that as an upgrade over TT in my opinion.
  22. Are there reports to how much money Bridgewater is going to get? I am actually pretty curious
  23. I wasn't comparing their style of play. I was basically saying he is not really an upgrade as of right now Ya I would agree with that. He is more of an accurate passer
