Adam Schefter Picks Bills to Finish 2nd in AFC East
RCOHEN13 replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EJ will be fine from get go.. this is an easy offense to run for a guy with his skill set and we have TONS of speed on this team. A screen can go the distance at any time.. The thing that put the biggest damper on start of season is losing Gilmore. We lost a lockdown corner which is more important than ever this year with Pettine's D relying heavily on the blitz and leaving corners in man to man. Hopefully we can get enough pressure and get some sacks or disrupt some passes cuz if we dont... We will be seeing some VERY high scores rung up on us. Byrd better be healthy enough to play in week 1. Without him and Gilmore.... just too scary especially vs the Maestro Tom Brady. Normally he finds a weak corner and picks on him, without Gilmore and possibly without Byrd manning centerfield, Brady will be foaming at the mouth cuz he will have an easy time finding a CB to pick on cuz we have such holes in that secondary. -
Rob Johnson squared...

I remember who Oak was utterly blasted for taking a Kicker in 1st round that yr. He was the best college kicker ever and he could actually tackle! Years later, it doent look stupid at all... He;s been a top notch kicker since being drafted and still hasnt lost his range like most other kickers do as they age. Kinda helps that his range was almost 7o yards when he was young! LOL

^^^ THIS^^^.. Winston is a stud prospect who picked apart a very weak Pitt team. EJ would have done same thing

She's really not that hot. I was at Pats game at the Ralph last yr and she was sitting right in front of me with 2 friends... i live in Boca Raton and see women 10 times hotter than her daily -
(Update) Jim Leonard back in Buffalo

I have feeling on plays with multiple receivers sets, we move A. Williams to cover a WR as CB and put another safety on field.. One of main reasons this regime liked Aaron as safety, as he can move over and cover WR's too (or so they think, maybe they didnt watch him past 2 yrs!) -
Bills to keep just 2 QB's- Lewis to PS
RCOHEN13 replied to RCOHEN13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wasnt getting all excited about Streeter, i started thread and someone brought him up. Main reason for thread is just the QB's. Even if we sign a vet, all signs point to EJ starting opener. No way if he's hurt does he dress to be the #2. If he is still hurt, he's hurt and not dressing at all and no way do we have a FA come in and be back-up. This is not pre-season. Woods is the guy to be juiced about. Goodwin will have a big play here and there but wont be much and i've seen a ton of his games at Texas, his hands are not very good come game day. Every telecast they talked about him being Olympian and has world class speed but they never really hit him deep and almost all his catches were WR screens of which he didnt do much with. Would not be surprised if Woods has better yr than Stevie and Stevie is a buddy of mine! -

Yes, but none of these other guys have stone hands and have more talent. Also, if u watched final pre season game, they were discussing how the guy played ZERO ST all camp and pre season. We saw trying to make team as strictly a WR when Hogan and Easley both have value on ST. And for a practice squad guy, i'd much rather a guy with more upside like Streeter who is huge as well as quick -

I dont get the obsession with Kaufman.. He's like a David Nelson. Too small for TE and not enough speed to be a difference maker. Did well vs teams 3rd and 4th stringers in 2 pre season games! U know what u got in guys like him and Nelson, having a kid like Streeter in better option to try and develop on PS. -

I live in S. Fla, seen Streeter play few times live, got talent. -
per numerous guys on twitter. Noon was cut off point to put in claim on waivers and Bills put in none and said to be going with just 2 QB's heading into opener. And they have just signed Thad Lewis to PS. Too lazy to start linking, but go on twitter, its all over right now from NFL and local sources. This must mean EJ is ready to go week 1. If they are worried about knee, they wouldnt even have him as #2 QB for the day. So here is to some optimism and they sign CB (hopefully 2) and a guard (swing OL) Minnifield, Trufant would be best fits, Trufant being the better of 2.

Happy Scott is gone and Dowtin and Westerman in.. With us releasing Lewis and having just 2 QB's on roster with week to go before NE... I think this means EJ will be ready to go. Even if they bring in another QB, if EJ isnt ready to go, i doubt he dresses, and u dont dress your back-up who has less than week with team. This definitely points to EJ being ready to go.

Conerbacks that the Bills should go after
RCOHEN13 replied to Floridabillsfan1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I would bring in BOTH Winfield AND Trufant. U can never have enough corners and even when Gilmore is back. Both these guys will still be in rotation as 3rd and 4th CB unless Brooks does well in slot. He got beat a bit in pre-season, but he was always around the ball. Guy goes at 110%, solid tackler and learning on the job. Also, came from CB U in LSU. I see more pure ability than any of our CB's outside of Gilmore (pretty obviously). That slot CB which is loosely called #3 on depth chart is sooooo important. Gets used on blitz and in pre-season we saw alot of this with Kip Edwards blitzing from slot and doing great. I thought he was a surprise cut considering how bad rest were. Hopefully we keep that blitz package in, was nice seeing CB for 1st time in years!! -

He's a rookie mid round pick... of course he;s cheap... -
Bills roster cut down to 50 (-18 then -5 more)

How can u be impressed with Kaufmans ST when we DID NOT play ST... Was talked about during broadcast, he was strictly at WR which def. hurt his case for final roster. Hopefully he will land on PS -

Marcus Trufant... cut by Jags but was great in Sea -

No chance Easley gets cut.. Goodwin is a work in progress on O. I've seen him play a lot at Texas and every game the announcers would say the same thing... World class speed, blah blah blah and then they use him deep once or twice, usually missing and hitting him for a screen or 2. I could easily see Easley (no pun intended!) being ON THE FIELD in alot of 3 WR sets over Goodwin, especially early in the year. Easley has been rock solid on ST which will also help his case and has the size and the speed to stick. He;s a big target for red zone and can also be a deep threat. Big upgrade over Brad Smith and Hogan. Hopefully Smith is the one cut. I'm so sick of watching this guy. He looks so damn slow on KR and brings no value at WR. He;s good on ST but Easley or Hogan could easily be a gunner and be more of a threat at WR. Smith seems to play the game at such a slow pace, he is so frustrating to watch. -
I agree, but the hoody and Brady know how to pick on "weaknesses" and with our "shaky" (to be nice about it) secondary who outside of the guy who will be in street clothes the next 5-7 weeks, not 1 corner can cover a straight man to man in a bump and run. Thats the way to beat Pats. You get very physical with their WR's off line to disrupt their routes and hopefully DL and blitzers can get pressure. I'd rather get beat on throws down field that quick slant for 11, then with CB giving guy 10 yards at LOS and hitting hot read for another 10 cuz Brady reads blitz and just dumps off and leads those 12-14 play drives that eat up half a quarter. Somehow someway, WE MUST FIX SECONDARY!! There HAS to be enough good players getting cut to sign at least 1-2 guys from cuts. The easiest position to catch on to in this D is CB. Especially if we plan on blitzing so much which leads to a lot more strict man to man. Any CB has been doing all his life. Much easier than picking up a DL or LB or even a safety who all have alot more to know scheme wise and so on. Hopefully a few decent ones get cut cuz after seeing our depth at CB and using that term VERY lightly.. We are gonna have a tough time when teams line up with just 2 WR on field, let alone when they spread us out, and bring in 4-5 wide... Its a scary thought thought having Mclovin as #1 even more so whats behind him... Outside of him, i dont think any of our other CB's could even hold a ROSTER spot on alot of teams let alone START! And thats not praise for Mclovin.. who would likely be a 3rd or 4th and returner on most teams in league as well!

Johnson did not lose us that game.. He drove us down field and led us to Game "winning" FG... I cant even mention the "play" that ruined us, cuz i broke my hand that day punching through a wall in my parents house.. I was 20! I had a game the next friday and played with 1 hand taped in ace bandage and scored 2 TD's as WR, 1 on a reverse tho! went to hospital AFTER game and had boxers fracture in my hand!!
-
And he still screws up tons, is awful in identifying players and makes mistake after mistake. Best guy out there in breaking down the game is Jaws.. goes into such detail that half these morons wouldnt even understand let alone truly break down a play! Also love Mayock when games r on NFL network. He really goes in depth

Byrd can B word all he wants... He;s under contract and if he wants out so bad... the best way to do so is have a spectacular year. I think Byrd over rates himself.. He's been a great player on a terrible D and safety is not hardest position to fill especially with so many teams moving older corners over to FS role like Woodson and Clements did or guys who struggled in man to man but have the size to play safety like Aaron Williams. We will not get a #1 CB for him. No chance, corners are more vauable. But a very good #2 CB... i'd take in heartbeat. With Mclovin as our TOP CB right now... is a scary thought, especially if we blitz as much as Pettine would like. Gilmore's injury could really shift ur gameplans on D. Leaving Gilmore on an island with a team's #1 WR, i'd be totally ok with... Mclovin or anyone else for that matter.... not so much!

If Tuel could be as efficient and have a career like Frank Reich... that would be GREAT.. Luck would have been on our side if we were 0-16 two years ago!!
