Easley AGAIN on ST! what a beast -
Is Marcus Easley this teams version of Steve Tasker?

You are dead on.... Too bad that style of passing game wasnt "in vogue" back then! Towards end of career he did play very well at WR and i remember Jimbo even saying, he has best hands on team and always wanted them to use him more on offense. A guy like him could do the exact same style of slot receiver a guy like Welker is. Maybe he wouldnt have been as good as Welker, cuz as much as i hate him i totally respect him as a football player and has really been the "model" for new style of offenses and giving college kids who were small but very productive receivers, hope for an NFL career when years ago, they would always simply be labeled college type WR's that are fast or big enough for NFL. -
Byrd Full Participant at practice today

I totally agree he will be out there vs Browns... He has to be licking his chops seeing how we have been picking balls off left and right and he is VERY $$$ motivated and in a nationally televised game vs Browns who has ZERO run game and Hoyer probably gonna throw 40-50 times... He's probably planning his end zone dance already... If he does have a pick 6, he should do the Jerry Maguire "SHOW ME THE MONEY"! He REALLY could use him back. Leonhard has been excellent as fill in but Leonhard is best served as really reliable 3rd safety who can fill in when needed which is exactly what he does. If u watch the games closely, on a lot of the deep balls attempted to us, he's been the one playing "center field" more than Searcy who has been usually covering TE, playing closer to the line in run support and blitzing few times a game which is something he is very good at. REALLY hoping not only Byrd is back tomorrow, but McLovin too. He really need him on Josh Gordon who is lone threat on WR corp. Lawson and SS will either take turns or double team Cameron who is a beast... He's Chandler's size, with speed and excellent hands and is total mismatch in red zone. Lawson is 6'5 and has been 1 of the best FA under the radar signings in league this yr. He is very good vs the run, has great size and is very good in coverage. They havent been blitzing him as much as i thought, but when they have, he;s put pressure on QB, got his 1st sack last week but his best value is that he can also cover TE;'s. That has been our achiles heel for last number of years and between him and Kiko, we now have 2 LB's that are strong in coverage.... It's been like a decade since we had good LB play! GO BILLS! -
I know his wife is nasty... it was a joke cuz of the media circus that occurred when public was bashing her! IT's a joke in reference to whole situation the media made of when ppl's were talking about how ugly she is. Sorry, but truth is the truth...

I just hope that we can get in the playoffs at least 1 time while Fred is a Bill... Gives 110% every time he;s on field and even on just the sideline. He is everything a football player should be. Here;s hoping we can get this guy to see the post-season!

That's NOT essentially a push... when its 2.5 on road, THAT's essentially a push, and also where the line will end up by kickoff. The sharks are gonna bet Buffalo at +3.5 all day long till it drops till under a FG when some will see more value in Cleveland. This is a MUST win game for us on so many levels.... If we wanna sniff the playoffs THIS yr and I hoping we can, we must win games like this on road. Cleveland has excellent D, 2 massive weapons in Cameron and Gordon. Hoping MClovin is ready for this game and can shadow Gordon so we can move Williams back to SS where either him or LB (Lawson or Kiko) will be in coverage vs TE. Covering TE's has been a huge weaknes for us over the years due to crappy SS play from George Wilson and LB's who were awful in coverage. Lawson is a BIG boy and plays very fast and will probably have the task of covering Cameron on the shorter routes and leaving him for the SS in deeper situations and that's where we REALLY need Williams at SS over either Searcy or Leonard. Cameron is same size as Chandler but with speed. He is a matchup nightmare and Leonard is like 5'8. Williams is 6'1 and has hops... IF Mclovin isnt ready to go, Williams will probably draw the assignment of Gordon who is a burner with size as well. Rogers would get eaten alive vs him. This game looked alot easier when Weeton was at QB but Hoyer has really played well last 2 weeks and been able to get the ball to those 2 guys who are by far and away their 2 best weapons on O. We played a lot more zone vs Ravens which did very well and thats how Williams got his 1st int. If we dont get Gilmore (highly unlikely till after mini bye after this game) and Mclovin who was a game time decision this past week who may be able to give it a go. Having him back would be absolutely huge for secondary. -

I'd rather have him on Stevie than Woods. Woods is emerging into EJ's favorite WR and is looking his way more and more each game. Talent wise, Woods has all the tools to be a #1. He has great hands (better than Stevie) and has to speed to get behind the secondary. -
Even though both of Flacco's TD passes came on passes in his direction, on 1st one to Brown who is 6'5 was doubled over middle by Rogers and Leonard who are both small in a jump ball situation, Rogers knew only chance of breaking up pass was trying to strip ball and came close. He was VERY solid in coverage ALL game and knew he would get picked on but was not getting beaten often at all and rebounded very nicely after worst game of career just 1 week ago. All together, once or shall i say IF we get healthy in secondary, with Gilmore being a solid #1, and Mclovin showing this yr is very capable of being a starting CB as #2 and Aaron Williams showing he can be extremely versatile and succeed at either CB or SS which coming into yr, he looked totally lost at CB but played his butt off today and has to be in running for Defensive player of week, especially if NFL considers situation he came into and playing defending champs with top 3 corners out. Even tho he was to get burned on the bomb to Torrey Smith (on perfectly thrown ball and Smith being one of top deep threats in league) did NOT give up on play and got the tackle instead of it being a TD which resulted in FG, was a HUGE play. He plays till whistle (sometimes AFTER whistle with that dreadful late hit on 3 and long when ball was incomplete and well out of bounds on). Our secondary, once we get at least Gilmore and Mclovin back (in my head Byrd has to be considered DONE as a Bill) cuz one thing this new regime REQUIRES is HEART... Williams definitely popped a shoulder on that play in 2nd quarter, I've suffered 6 dislocated shoulders in my life, and cringe every time i see a guy get a shoulder injury cuz i can literally FEEL IT! Came back in and gave 110% and left it all on the field. Jimmy Leonard has his shortcomings PUN intended but has knack for being around ball when its in middle of field. His biggest liability tho, is when teams go deep. He is late to get over and help out on deep balls which is huge weakness for us and an area Byrd excelled in. If Byrd WERE to come back, man.... could this D look AMAZING.... With our front 7, Dareus IMO played BEST game of his career and yes i remember that Wash game but this was vs defending CHAMPS and was an absolute monster in middle and looked like the guy we drafted from 'Bama's D. Lawson has been our leading tackler and had a beatiful sack and has been excellent in coverage. Between him and Kiko, we actually have 2 LB's who not only can play the pass, but excel at it... Been a VERY long time since we had LB's that can do that. Kiko is playing like defensive ROY and mix of Moats and Bradham as other backer has been solid too. Carrington's injury wont really hurt us that much with Branch filling in admirably and was solid in Seattle. That leaves the secondary... Once Gilmore is back which was stated as 4-6 weeks, i could see him being back in action after the mini bye we get after Cleveland game and Mclovin should either be back for Cleveland or at worst next game with us having the extra few days off between games. Robey has excelled in slot and dont see him giving that job back to Brooks when healthy. IF somehow, someway, Byrd gets on the field, he could be in a position to really exceed unlike in years past where team had no D. He can do what he is best at, being that CF and ball hawk, especially on the deep balls. With Williams nex to him (if they dont leave him at CB which i doubt) he could be a pro-bowl caliber SS. We not only would have a "good" secondary, we would have a DEEP secondary. Rogers has shown he is definitely not capable of being a shutdown corner, not that anyone thought he would be. However, I really think he has shown he can be a serviceable NFL player and a #4 corner in league and the valuable playing time he;s amassed over 1st quarter of yr will only help him get better. In a league where so many teams spread you out, having 4 CB's that can play is a MUST... After Gilmore and Mclovin as top 2 and Roby in slot where he has been excellent and with Brooks on mend who would provide even more depth. And our depth at safety is excellent. GO BILLS!!

At least he has a "hot" wife to cheer him up!
