Exactly.... i'd rate them.... TBD.. Goodwin has not had a chance to be out there. SJ13 is a low end WR1 but better suited for a top WR2. With better QB play and if we threw ball more, Woods would have much bigger numbers. He is BEST WR on team already. Had good hands, very good route runner for a rookie, has deep speed and can make guys miss and get yards after catch. By end of yr he will be go to guy, if not sooner. TJ does not look like a NFL starting WR. He should be casted as a Robert Meachem style WR that only comes in in 3 or 4 WR sets to be deep threat. His hands are below average and reminds me of Featherstone in movie Necessary Roughness! Has excellent speed but aside from hands, has bad body control to adjust to deep balls. He turns wrong way alot of time. Even when he does he his hands on ball he just looks funny trying to catch the ball and doesnt have good technique when reaching out for balls. Easley SHOULD be given a chance in 3 WR looks if Stevie is out this week with Woods and GOODWIN.. NOT TJ! but that probably wont happen. I see them being stubborn and keeping TJ as worst #2 R in NFL

THIS^^ Having them as a 1-2 is the key cuz their style of running is so different. Freddy is much more patient and finds yards when there arent any and is more of a slither, glidding style RB. CJ is a 1 cut dasher... B4 CJ hurt ankle in game vs Ravens, they started using them FINALLY on the field at the same time. If healthy, hopefully they do more and more. In a Shotgun spread attack, having both them line up on opposite sides of Thad, will be very hard for defenses to adjust to cuz when we run the ball it can go up middle or to either side. Having a good 1-2 punch at RB, especially when their skill sets is different is the best way to have an effective running game in this modern day pass happy league. It can spread the D out and can run to any direction or throw it. The main reason they went with Thad is his running ability can they can prob run alot more read option/ spread style attack. Also, when EJ started season, he was coming off a knee injury already, so i think the coaches had to tone down alot of that style attack as we saw 99% of time EJ just handed it off. We will be seeing a more wide open attack with Thad and hopefully CJ is healthy enough to play more than 13 snaps.

Yes, but if we do land a top 5-10 pick.... With this years crop of QB's coming out and EJ missing good chunk of yr with very few games going to be left for him to impress. We would be nuts not consider a QB. I love EJ, but really felt they should have waited for this upcoming draft for a QB cuz even in mid 1st round, there will be better QB talents than EJ. If some of these underclassmen declare, this will be deepest pool of QB's probably ever. There are 9-10 QB;s that could all make a case for being a 1st round pick.

Cinci beat Brady and Rodgers and lost to Hoyer in between.... U never know! WHAT IF.... we wait and see how this week goes??? It's a week to week situation unless Thad plays well enough to keep job till EJ is back.. and IF He lights it up... thats a GREAT situation to have and wouldnt be complaining!

I personally LOVE the whole Oregon style uni;s that are now being used through out college.. Even the players seem more fired up in those games as does the crowds. I loved the Irish Uni this past week and Tennessee's all gray with bit of orange which was like the one posted in original post, was very cool and Vols almost pulled off upset of the yr vs Georgia! I've seen Tenn play 3 times this yr and they had different swagger! Players love to look "cool".. ANYTHING they can do to make the pro-bowl a better experience is needed and i commend NFL for trying whatever the can to make it better or just nix it. PS- ONLY way to get the players to REALLY play... Have winning team's players get 1M each.. The NFL can afford it and make losing team get NOTHING... THEN u will see real football with the top guys.. I do think they winning team gets paid more than losing team like in other sports, but i think the ammount should be at least 1M and losing team should get nothing so there is real motivation. Even tho most pro-bowlers tend to be the higher paid guys in the league, an extra Mil... would entice anyone as most these dudes go thru money like water!

Roster spot will probably come from DB's. With Byrd, Gilmore AND Brooks all expected back, guys like Burton, Adams, and even Rogers is the most likely cut. Possibly Meeks.. Duke seems to ahead of him on depth chart and Williams seems to be guy at SS once CB's are back. And Byrd back at FS.. how much depth do u need at safety?? Leonhard has earned his spot on the team as has Searcy and they will keep Duke. That's 5 safeties... We will have some interesting roster moves this week GO BILLS!

110% agree.. White flew out this morning for workout in Oak tomorrow so no deal was done as reported by Shefty among others already. The options we were looking at Dixon, White, Freeman were all dual threat QB's. Freeman IS NOT the answer and the drama that would come with that would have been disaster. We are basically asking our QB to be more of a game manager and also a dual threat guy. While EJ didnt run too much, I think A LOT of that is because of the knee issue in pre-season. Just by looking at the names we were looking at... It was blatant Marrone wanted someone who has wheels and can take off when play breaks down and also be involved in read option. Thad's a big kid.. has good wheels and its not like accuracy was EJ's best trait... 1 thing that EJ has shown the most promise with, is that he's already looking like he is a leader on and off the field. He handles himself extremely well with media, and has control of the offense. They have had lots of miscues, but i think right before he got hurt, to tart 2nd half, he was REALLY looking like the "guy" and really stepped into his first couple of throws and looked very different from the guy who had terrible footwork in 1st half. I can easily see Thad coming in and being very much a clone of EJ with more true read option and seeing him keep ball 3-4 times a game which will really be a huge headache for D's if CJ and Freddy are healthy and with the mini bye week, hopefully both will be closer to 100% coming into Cinci game. In Ravens game before CJ got hurt, they were starting to imcorperate more 2 RB in shotgun with BOTH CJ, and Freddy on field... THIS is look we must use more and more... I think we will be able to open of the playbook with Thad at the helm cuz they have so much invested in EJ, they were coddling him with the play calling and with knee issue from pre-season, they really were not looking to run him much at all. Thad will be running the ball and i watched the Cleveland game last yr, he had good command of huddle and had solid game and he looked better in preseason than any of the others guys in the final games and made a bunch of plays with his legs. With the D playing very well and with having pretty much our ENTIRE secondary coming back, to go along with both our DT's playing better and better each week. Kyle has been good but Dareus has been a beast. That tackle he made on thrus when he stood up the RB and plowed him backwards and like body slammed him all in 1 motion was thing of BEAUTY even tho there was a flag or something on the play and didnt count! Mario had another phenominal game and is on pace to break our sack record and there was a Jerry Hughes sighting!! By far his best game in Bills uni! and then there;'s Kiko... no comment needed here except BEAST! Our secondary NOW with Gilmore shadowing teams 1's and Mclovin showing he was WELL worth being resigned and has been our best CB so far this yr as a now, very solid #2 and Roby being excellent in the slot despite his size. He has broken up a bunch of passes and even though he can get pushed around a bit when making tackle, at least he doesnt whiff much and can either bring guy down and hold him to someone can finish him off. He has been gritty and made some nice breakups and think they should keep him in slot as #3 even in Brooks is ready. Have Brooks as our #4 and i'd assume with Thad being elevated, a cut will have to made, and its got to come from secondary between either Adams, Burton or Rogers. As bad as Rogers has been, i still think he;s had some very valuable playing time and rebounded nicely after worst game a CB has seen in long time and thats saying alot! As a #5 corner, who has had a bunch of experience as a starter, i think he brings more to back end of roster than a guy like Burton or Adams who can be dropped and probably retained to put on PS. Anyways, even though Thad was not name a lot expected, i thought him or White would have been best 2 options regardless or Freeman and fact he;s been with team since end of pre-season even though just on practice squad. He still has a playbook and been with team close to 2 months now and to trust a street FA (anyone outside of Freeman) who hasnt been on a team since pre-season and expect them to come in and start??? would have made no sense unless they picked up a guy who was experienced and also would be good fit in our style of O. Which eliminated all the older re-thread QB's like Carr who would have been crappy anyway. I think it really was best decision for team, even though i was hoping we would sign White cuz i liked his chances as true read option guy, and having our back field.. Would have fun watching college style offense! But just dont think he could really make it as a starting QB when teams are game planning for him as the starter. Another big issue with him IMO is he;s lefty... Our O-line has regressed last few weeks and we still have a huge hole with Colin Brown. Glenn has been our blind side guy and with White, it would have meant Pears would have taken over as blindside blocker on right side... Not sure how much that could have played in, but i would be concerned with Pears being the guy protecting our QB's blindside. GO BILLS!!!

Better off just trading the guy... It's a rebuild yr and with EJ situation... Better off getting what we can for him cuz NO chance he returns next yr unless we franchise him AGAIN which will add more fuel to mire. If we can get a potential starter (LG) from a team thats deep on OL and a 3rd, i'd do it in a second. Secondary will be vastly better once we get Gilmore back and Williams can go back to playing Safety full time. He had 1 good game at corner then played as bad as last yr vs Browns getting beaten twice for big plays on same drive. We were making them "earn" every yard whole game till that drive which resulted in a TD and Weeton getting a spark and started playing a lot better from then on. Safety is not a hole for us AT ALL..... Williams has the looks of a great safety and looks 100% times better there than at CB and Searcy is getting better and better and may never be a stud, he's earning his playing time. Leonhard has played "ok"... outside of the interceptions, he has been far less than stellar in u keep an eye on him.. Whenever tackling, especially on a RB he tends to get pushed for extra couple yards, is not fast enough to be a good "centerfielder" on deep balls and lacks the height. He is fine for sub package roles tho till the likes of either Duke Williams or Meeks are ready to get on field. Duke has a ton of potential, he's more a project and wont be ready this yr, but our depth there looks fine. this D has shown alot of heart and has played so much better than last yr even with having to play guys at CB who have no business being on field. With Mclovin showing he was a smart re-sign and worthy of starting gig and Williams transitioning to safety and Robey in slot who has been a bright spot... Health is the key there.. Would Byrd help??? YES... but would i rather they trade him and acquire hopefully either a good pick or a solid LG.. hell ya!
