  1. Based on the pictures that I saw of the accident scene, they felt nothing.
  2. +1 My grandfather tells me stories of watching Ruth, Dimaggio, Mantle, etc. play. I will tell my grandkids about watching the likes of Bruce Smith, Dominik Hasek, and Barry Sanders, amongst others... Sanders was so good that we still find ways now to justify that he wasn't the best ever (i.e. 7 rushes for negative yards, one big gain... Stuff like that). The simple truth is hiding in plain sight: He's a football god, period.
  3. On the topic of the football life, I just watched the Steve Gleason episode. Very moving.
  4. One of the best endings I've ever seen.
  5. Best. Video. Ever.
  6. I drank through my stash of saranac and hit the labatt last night to dull my senses. Today I feel great and I'm ready for whatever wine my MIL buys today. Either way, I will need something to relax
  7. Unless you are his attorney, you have no reason to know if this is true or not. Of course, if you were his attorney, you just broke attorney-client privileges. Shame on you for being a bad lawyer.
  8. Don't forget to boil for an hour...
  9. LHO did it. He got off 3 shots and killed kennedy. All the conspiracy stuff is just something to talk about. Just like how FDR knew about Pearl Harbor and the WTC was rigged with bombs... The real answeris. Hiding in plain sight. Oswald, a trained marine, killed a sitting duck. Like fish in a barrel.
  10. Trixie offense? If anyone is a hall of fame, it is Ted Marchibroda. That offense was not trixie, it was a philosophical, wholesale change that is still being used today. Now to the topic at hand... As an individual player, Andre Reed is not a Hall of Famer. He was good, consistent, and he was the best weapon available to the Bills. Compared to his contemporaries, he was one of the best at his position. By that token, Andre Reed is an excellent Hall of Very Good member. As the sum of the parts, the Buffalo Bills of the 1990s were a devastating force that other teams feared for a run of about 8 years. Andre Reed was a huge part of that. If Andre's career is captured as a part of that dominating team, he IS a Hall of Famer. On that note, I'm going to reserve a hotel room in Canton in August!
  11. The illustration for flute has comedy written all over it.
  12. You're right. It is the 12 days of winter. It did have the christmas beer in it though. Very flavorful and good. I enjoyed it very much, especially since I had that particular beer on the first cold night of the year here.
  13. I got a 12 pack the other day! It was excellent.
  14. The power of adrenaline and injury responses of the brain.
  15. And that injury is why we should never ever get mad at Byrd for holding out for more cash. Also, I may need to watch the Malarchuk injury a few times today just to erase that leg image from my brain. If you have not seen it yet, consider yourself lucky. I just hope Jabari is able to keep his leg.
  16. That was rouh
  17. If this hadn't already happened 234 times In the past, I'd call you crazy
  18. Did yesterday really happen?
  19. The EFMP considers Bragg a favorable base placement for families of special education students because of our program (I work in the district office special education department). Families that work closely with us really respect what we do as teachers; however, the state legislature and governor think differently I suppose. Heck, the governor ran on a platform of increasing educational funding last year only to see it slashed again this year. He cut thousands of jobs. Literally 2 weeks ago, it became public knowledge that he was planning a $250k renovation of his master bathroom in the governor's mansion before backing down due to public outrage. I sincerely hope that our state has reached its tipping point and something changes in 2016. By 2018, my wife's tenure is null and void. I don't have tenure, but my license is in good standing. Heck, maybe I'll move back to NYS. Season tickets for the bills must be cheaper than the worry that this state has caused my family.
  20. I live in a military town. Most are 18-24 year old kids who are just trying to make their way. I can't respect them enough.
  21. As a teacher, I have not had a raise since the 2006-2007 school year. My county, Cumberland, does the best we can with what we have. We've got great local support from our community (tax payers), but the state keeps reducing funding. We'll reap what we sow in 20 years.
  22. I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand...
