  1. I have no problem with the academic nature of the exercise. I just wanted to clarify, as other seem to think you actually believe the Bills should trade Evans. As far as Evans, isn't it fairly clear his numbers are a direct result of playing in an inept offense with a QB who developed a severe case of stage freight? Game after game after game, Lee is perfectly open...that is open to a competent QB who is willing to throw the ball before the WR makes his break. Lee's only real weakness is his height, IMO.
  2. Not his most polished set, but a good sample of some of his stuff:
  3. Evans is one of the players the Bills can least afford to lose, as there is no other legit #1 WR on the team (some question if there is a #2 WR on the team). The claim that Lee is not a legit #1 is moronic, so let's leave that discussion to the brain-dead. But if you had to trade Lee for a player, it would have to be a quality QB, LT or LB. I guess this was strictly an academic exercise, right?
  4. That's kind of what accidental means in a case like this. In other words, it wasn't an intentional overdose, AKA suicide.
  5. Did you think that wasn't being discussed here: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/120495-kelsay-extended/ Or in any one of the other Kelsey threads?
  6. Still not watching the games, I see. Hard not to know a guy with 13 tackles in three games is playing, if you are actually paying attention. Not saying he's playing great so far. But he's playing.
  7. Really? You are usually a bit more sensible than that.
  8. I think most of us agree Green is a sub-standard player. Xsoldier never suggested otherwise. But there is a distinction between fact and opinion. The OP seems to think his opinions = fact.
  9. Not hard for me, at all. Giraldo was a terrific comic. He will be missed. RIP Greg.
  10. Ditto here. I'm not saying he should be cut. But I don't like that he is starting. Extended? Please.
  11. The thing is, Garrard is FAR better than Trent and has more guts in his little finger than Trent does in his entire body. Trent might be better than Bouman, though.
  12. It's called "Replacement Players". Get ready to watch the fans play, should there be a lockout. It's funny for 10 minutes, like Professional Wrestling. After that, it gets old very quickly.
  13. While I think Wood is the Center of this team's future (as it should be) Hang hasn't been playing too poorly this year, IMO. Keeping Bell on the field and replacing Green is what I hope happens this year. Finding another good T (hopefully LT and move Bell) should be next year's project. Maybe when Wang gets his shot he will surprise. Fair point. Not sure the handling of Edwards release should be an issue. He was done here, or should I say "should be done". Why have a disgruntled former starter as your 3rd string QB? Makes zero sense to me. With Edwards on the sideline, the other QBs would have to be looking over their shoulders, and the the coaches would always have that crutch to fall back on should Fitz or Brohm falter. That crutch would only hurt the turn-around, IMO. As for why he was allowed to start to begin with, we've been round and round on that. I think the explanation is simply and makes a ton of sense, even if I wasn't crazy about the decision.
  14. Thanks, PF. I made a similar point in the rush to trash the FO for cutting Trent, the other night, but was poo-pooed. I think you said it better, though. With Trent at the helm it was tough to make these decisions, as his chickenshit play masked any strengths on offense and heightened any weaknesses, even minor ones.
  15. I don't choose to look at those years as a negative. I think that would be a really disturbing decision to make. Sure I was bummed out after they lost the SB, or a playoff game (or any game, really). But I prefer to measure the thrills in winning as many games as they did. Let's make no mistake about it; these years were full of winning. The losses seem magnified because they were in the most important game, and also because there were so few of them. Would I love for the Bills to have just one SB win? You bet your ass. But I'd also prefer they be 0-5 in the big one than 0-4.
  16. I'm an idiot. Wrong thread. Newbie has 5 good free Dean bashing credits. Sorry. My bad.
  17. I really had no choice, did I?
  18. I have to agree with this. I think the price for Spiller would have to be VERY high, so I wouldn't worry about losing him. Trading Lynch for a 4th would be stupid. If the Bills got REAL value, such as a quality player in a position of need, I think you have to consider it.
  19. Friggin pansy.
  20. What you have just documented are eleven years of unprecedented success. One that chooses to put a negative spin on that is in serious need of some medication, IMO. Sure they didn't win the SB in those years. Every team but one "doesn't win the SB" in every year. Should the fans of all the other teams be despondent? I empathized with your thoughts, until you decided we should somehow be depressed or embarrassed by that streak under Levy.
  21. Part of me is disappointed in Santana's new direction, which seems like an old-age money grab. He had maintained his integrity for so long, and then after the huge success with Supernatural, he seems to have sold the ranch. Several "collaboration" albums in a row, K-Mart ads, etc. But one thing is for sure. Santana sells out at a higher level than just about anyone. I'd love to hate this covers, but so far they sound fantastic. I should note. I only heard bits and pieces. I can't say for sure I'd like the thing in its entirety.
  22. But that wasn't what Chan said he was going to do. Many people seem to be questioning the decision making process, but nobody here really knows what that process was. They are guessing based on outcomes. Chan has told us why he made certain decisions, and I have to say while I haven't agreed with every decision, his reasoning has seemed sound. He did exactly what he said he would do to evaluate the QBs. You can question his methodology, I do myself, but he followed his plan. That is if he is to be believed.
  23. Let's hope it isn't "Brohm's Arm"
