  1. That was AFTER the bad period of the 80's. We don't know what is in store for the Bills in the future, therefore the strange logic is in your post. If you actually want to be fair, you have to look backward, not forward from past losing periods. I can tell you this: From 1976 through 19887, the Bills had exactly TWO winning seasons. Check it out for yourself. Looking strictly at the regular season records, the current period isn't even the 2nd worst period in Bills' history: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/
  2. How old are you? From 1967-1972 (six years for the math-challenged) the Bills never won more than 4 games (these were 12 game seasons to be fair). During that time the Bills won ONE game in two different seasons ('68 and '71). The Bills were the worst team in football during that period. For the past 10 or so years, the Bills have been in a long stretch of mediocrity. They haven't been the worst team in football since the 80's. Even in 2003, when they managed only 3 wins they weren't the worst team in football. In fact the Bills have, for the most part have been flirting with 8-8 for most of the past 10 years. That's solid mediocrity. As for missing the playoffs, yes that has been a drought. But it is a rather arbitrary measure of "terrible". I could just as easily say the Bills missed playing in the Super Bowl from 1967-1990 making THAT the longest streak of futility. I'm not happy with their recent performance. It stinks. But it isn't nearly as putrid as it was "back in the day". Yes, that line really is as stupid as it sounds. This is about the Bills HISTORY. That IS the past. We old timers KNOW it was worse. I think the Bills will eke out more than 1 win this year.
  3. WTF? I have no idea what that is supposed to mean.
  4. I pronounce it "Jag-offs" cuz they are. DelRio is a meathead and apparently un-fireable.
  5. I think it's a total non issue. Haven't heard all that much made of it, either.
  6. So, did Mike and Mike mention how many days it would be before J-ville dumps Trent?
  7. No question. The past few years really don't come close, IMO.
  8. Thai Satay w/peanut sauce. Here's a couple recipes that look pretty good, actually: http://rasamalaysia.com/recipe-chicken-satay/ http://rasamalaysia.com/malaysian-sataynow-with-peanut-sauce/ You could probably get away with a prepared peanut sauce from a good Asian market.
  9. McGee is a very good corner. He has lost a step perhaps, but has actually improved in coverage over the years. Still he is not what I would call a true "shut down" corner. Nevertheless he can hold his own with just about anyone. McKelvin is on his way to becoming a true shutdown corner, IMO. The mistakes are much less frequent than they used to be. I'd like to see the Bills trust these CBs (and Youboty) more and bring the blitz from time to time. As has been said, a great pass rush really helps the DBs and the opposite is true as well. Use the team's strength (in this case DBs) to help offset the weakness (pass rush). Byrd is really the key in the defensive backfield for this plan. He needs to be healthy and more consistent in coverage. Whitner is versatile and needs to be moved around and used on the blitz on occasion, I think. He and Scott tackle better than the linebackers (with the exception of Poz, perhaps). In 2008 he was a rookie. Duh. But you could see him develop. He was surpassing Greer by season's end. In 2009 he was playing well before the injury. The injury really hurt the D, IMO. So far this year, he has been fabulous for the most part.
  10. Me, too. I nearly threw up in my mouth when I saw Corner covering Moss. Youboty is a fine corner. If healthy, he should be on the field, IMO. Also, he is one of the few great tacklers on the Bills D. But then again, what the hell do I know?
  11. How do you edit the title this long after the initial post? I wondered that the other day and couldn't figure it out. Thanks.
  12. Now that is an organization with a plan I can get behind!
  13. Roscoe was #2 quite a bit against the Pats*. 5 receptions, 83 yards
  14. "Piece" Bridge. I see what you did there. If all the working girls look like the two in the picture on your link, I think the bridge will be just fine.
  15. Horrible idea. Thankfully it's a bunch of BS disguised as a plan in the subject line. My favorite memory of Batavia is of the time a couple of friends and I were driving to Albany and then to Williams College to see another friend. I was the designated drunk, in the back seat with a bunch of OV Splits (I'm pretty sure there was other booze and some illegal substances in the care as well). I've never been much of a beer drinker, but splits are a bit addictive and quite dangerous. Well, anyway, I started hitting the splits (and the whatever) quite hard, apparently. At one point in time, I decided to check exactly how far along we were on our trip. "Batavia 1 Mile" read the sign as we passed. "Batavia?" I cried. I'm this fu#$ed up and it's only Batavia?" Needless to say it was an interesting trip.
  16. He is on Injured Reserve. He looked good early, but it's very hard to say what he would have looked good when the real bullets started flying. I doubt he would have been #2 to start the year, and probably not at all this year unless he really blew up. But I think it's safe to say he has an outside shot at the #2 spot in the future.
  17. The title says "New Stadium Planner" not "Proposed". Where's the plan?
  18. Incompetent moron interviews surly douchebag.
  19. He's 29. I'd say he has one nice contract left in him.
  20. Good on CJ. Bravo!
  21. I have no problem with the academic nature of the exercise. I just wanted to clarify, as other seem to think you actually believe the Bills should trade Evans. As far as Evans, isn't it fairly clear his numbers are a direct result of playing in an inept offense with a QB who developed a severe case of stage freight? Game after game after game, Lee is perfectly open...that is open to a competent QB who is willing to throw the ball before the WR makes his break. Lee's only real weakness is his height, IMO.
