Ralph tried to hire the two best available guys: Cowher and Shanahan. To me they were/are heads and shoulders above the available proven coaches. Cowher would be a perfect fit for Buffalo, I think.
As for GM, anyone Cowher is comfortable working with.
The signs, junk mail TV and radio commercials and fliers are bad enough. But everyone wants to talk about the election and/or their candidate or issue. People approach me on the way in and out of stores. The phone rings all day soliciting my vote.
Right now, I don't care who it is. I just don't want to talk to him now.
No animation today, just a cool Google doodle.

Diz was a monster player and one of the most important figures in Jazz history. I had the pleasure of seeing him before he died. While he was very old and a bit past his prime, he oozed charisma and could still pack a wallop. Here's one of his most famous compositions:
Yes, it's got the big buzz.
Chef, you? Say it ain't so!
You and me both. I refuse to wait to eat in a restaurant, unless I can wait at the bar or they have the good manners to bring me a glass of wine or a beer while in line.
Simple: Mosquitoes
Mosquitoes cause more human death and physical suffering than any other animal...even more than other humans (or so they say).
I can't stand the little bastards.
A legit 4.4 is still fast. Furthermore the kid is a JUNIOR in HIGH SCHOOL. He will almost certainly shave some time off that sprint over the next few years.
As for it being fast enough for teams like Florida, 4.4 is faster than times clocked by wide receivers David Nelson and even Percy Harvin (yes he may have clocked faster, but he clocked a 4.41 in the combine).
Wow! I know it's a highlight tape, so doesn't give the entire picture...but still. He looks like a man playing with little boys.
Gotta love that flare pass.
I don't see a big problem, at least for me. I only go to Starbucks when there isn't a reasonable alternative nearby. If it also offered beer and wine (and interesting beer and wine would be a plus) I consider that a bonus. It wouldn't take my business from local joints, but would be nice to have when stuck in some Podunk suburbia and have a thirst.
Funny you should say that. I have never seen them and barely heard any of their music. I have heard the lead guitarist play and he is actually quite good. I almost went to see them in concert on 10/1 as they were right down the street...but I forgot about it until the afternoon of the concert. As I had no mushrooms or acid, I didn't see the point. Chef is going to see them and I hope he gives us a report.
One thing I will say in their favor: They have a GREAT name. Of course so does The Tragically Hip (it would be better without "The") and I never thought very much of their music.
