  1. I don't like the value received in this trade. Otherwise I understand it.
  2. You still didn't answer my question.
  3. Are you suggesting Evans refuses to run routes that require him to go across the middle of the field? Does he let the coaches know this, or does he just simply stop running the route once he gets near the center of the field? Please, explain how this happens.
  4. People are leaving s#it there all the time.
  5. That was pretty good. I never saw that before as I really didn't watch MTV.
  6. I certainly didn't laud every personnel move by Levy, but thought he did a generally good job and deserved far more than the derision he gets from some on this board. The 2006 draft still has three good contributors (two high-quality starters) on the roster and would have produced more if not for injuries to Simpson and Butler. 2007 was less impressive, but only because of the failure of Trent Edwards. Lynch and Poz remain quality starters. I like that! I may have to use it sometime. There is no question mass producers of meat can and should do a better job of reducing cruelty. It's a huge black mark on our society, IMO. But as far as I know, The Colonel is not purposefully torturing the chickens for sport and the amusement of his friends. Furthermore, I doubt KFC is grabbing pet birds from neighbors and friends to use as bait in the demented training of KFC chickens. If you can't see the difference between these things I think that speaks volumes about you. Intentions matter, despite what some may think.
  7. I would hope nobody in Niagara Falls would even consider voting for Paladino. He totally screwed that city.
  8. I hear ya and I don't necessarily disagree. I stopped reading here. Anyone who thinks four straight AFC Championships counts as "not good" doesn't deserve to be heard any further. Spot on. First of all, ANY ten year period equals a decade. But if you insist on discussing only decades that start with the same year (ie. "the 80's", "the 90's") this still isn't the worst decade for the Bills. Take a look at the win totals and point disparities during the 70's when compared to the past ten years: http://www.pro-football-reference.com/teams/buf/ It isn't even close. The team has been competitive in games this decade compared to the 70's.
  9. As usual you have missed the point. Simmons is a terrific writer, certainly among the best who cover sports. He isn't really a "journalist" in the classic sense, though. He may have been at one point, but I am not familiar with that work. He writes columns, opinion pieces, humor pieces, etc. Does Simmons ever dig up a story and report the facts in an even handed and straightforward way? If he does, please point it out.
  10. Nice new avatar, BTW. I'm no fan of the Buffalo w/Ribbon, but that is one of the nicer presentations I have seen of that logo. It is a nice clean look.
  11. Let's not get carried away here, dog. When it comes to credentials Simmons is a Hall of Famer compared to Graham. I like Tim and think he does a nice job with his blog, but he is hardly in the same class as Simmons. Both Simmons and Graham insert their opinions into their columns and both aren't so much pure journalists as columnists. Actually, Wawrow is a terrific journalist, IMO. He rarely inserts his opinion and seems to understand the tried and true tenets of journalism.
  12. Actually, I would argue that objectively the Bills are nowhere near the worst they have ever been. They have fielded far worse teams. But some may experience this period as worse due to their age, experience or the perception the Bills aren't properly using their resources. That says more about the fan than the team, IMO.
  13. Nothing. It could not live long enough to become human.
  14. Canell was the master of the soft 1970's style drama. He did a show for UPN while I was with the network called Marker, staring Richard Grieco. Yes, it was as bad as you would expect for a show starring Richard Grieco. Mostly it was out of place in the 90's as it seemed kind of out of date. But I have to admit, the Rockford Files was a very cool show. RIP, Mr. Canell.
  15. But not HUMAN life.
  16. I didn't say Vick shouldn't want to play QB. I said, if he was TRULY HUMBLE and thankful for his second chance, he would do whatever the organization wanted him to do. He might have said. "I believe I'm a QB and that's the position I want to play. But the Eagles gave me this second chance and I plan to do whatever coach Reid asks me to do." Of course I think the whole thing is mostly an act, PR and such. But the fact that he couldn't even manage to play humble properly leads me to believe he probably isn't very humble. Get my point?
  17. For starters, do you have one iota of evidence that Stewart is bigoted against anyone in particular?
  18. That's interesting. I never saw that connection discussed before. Well, except that I talked about it with the sleep disorder professional. He said I would sleep through the night. I explained I had to piss a lot of times and he assured me that would likely stop. I thought he was full of s#it. If you gotta go, you gotta go...right? Well he was right. BTW, I also use this under my mattress: http://www.amazon.com/Mattress-Genie-Lift-System-Queen/dp/B0009MFQ08 It isn't great, but it's OK for a slight lift of the upper part of the bed. You can lift the mattress very high to watch TV and such, too. But it can have a bit too much motion sometimes and the mattress can slowly slide down from time to time. But until I can afford a fully adjustable bed, it'll have to do.
  19. Intergalactic hussy!
  20. What does the systematic torture and murder of dogs for sport have to do with the killing of animals for food? If Vick was eating the dogs, I think there might be some validity to this point. And while mainstream meat producers could probably improve their methods to reduce cruelty, i don't think they are systematically torturing the animals for sport before killing them. We should also not the NFL let Vick off with virtually no punishment to speak of. He was either fighting for his freedom, or in jail during the entire suspension. With that said, I support 2nd chances. I just doubt many companies would give the newly released felon his multi-million dollar, high-public-profile job back as quickly as the Eagles did for Vick. A lower-paying, more private job working for the NFL or one of their teams would have been a more appropriate re-entry for Vick, IMO. As for Vick being humble, I say BS. Last year I remember him saying he didn't want to stay with the Eagles unless it was as a QB. A truly humble player would have said he was thankful for his freedom and the opportunity to contribute in any way he could. At least that's the say I sees it.
