Both guys look bad here, IMO. Cam interrupted a conversation to start the whole thing. Probably not the best start. JB looked a bit weak refusing to shake hands and walking away from the conversation. And maybe on game day, on the field, isn't the best venue for the conversation they need to have.

Top 10 biggest traitors in Buffalo Bills history
The Dean replied to greenyellowred's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"unceremoniously kicked him to the curb"? How did his release go down? If something other than the usual, I can't see how it excuses him for his attacks on the Bills. I say this in the same spirit of defending many others who get mentioned for being "traitors". If they were released/FA/traded, how are they traitors (a really stupid term to use in this context anyway, IMO)? The idea a player is going to be a FAN of the team they played for, seems like a pretty unrealistic idea given what the NFL is and how it operates. If they just express an opinion we fans don't like, who cares? They're entitled. When they go out of their way to attack the team, the city, the franchise on a regular basis, well that's another thing. If the Bills said something along the lines of "Fred Smerlas is a POS and his family is stupid and ugly. Nobody should ever employ him for anything, EVER!" Then I might excuse him for his crusade against everything Buffalo, for years. But not because they chose the younger, less expensive option at his position. That's just NFL football. -

That's a pretty low bar, but YES, Sen. Anyone would have been better than Ryan. -
Difference again between Pats and Bills
The Dean replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I should no longer be surprised at the idiotic posts regarding FA candidates the Bills did not sign or work out---but for some reason they continue to irk me. It's as if some people think all a team has to do is say "We want you" and then they have the player. FA is a TWO WAY STREET. A player actually has to be interested before he comes and works out, and/or signs. The Pats* simply have an advantage when it comes to signing veteran players. With that said, different teams also have different needs. Some can accommodate certain personalities, certain players with limited skill sets. etc. Player A may be worth relative little to one team, but very valuable to another. When it comes to an aging veteran, with diminished skill set. I'm guessing the Pats* are a far better choice for Decker than are the Bills. And I think his chance of making either team is rather slim, at this stage. BTW, just read that the Pats* are cutting Matthews. -

The Senator is ALIVE! Welcome back, my friend. I have to say, I'm shocked you were never a Johnny Football fan, as he fits your typical fan-boy profile. Flashy, lot's of hype. Air-raid offense guy (let's not forget your deep love affair with Mike Leach). But if so, good for you. You finally got a QB evaluation right. I was never a fan. But I hope he does well personally, and professionally if that's the way it works out. I don't expect to see him playing in the NFL again, but who knows? And wasn't Jeff Garcia "Doug Flutie 2.0"? Or is he not qualified because he didn't start in the NFL? Or because he was a WAY better QB than Flutie could have dreamed of being? -

That's good stuff, right there. It's good to laugh at yourself---and at others. -
Almost started a thread to post this. But I figured you had it somewhere. And by the fourth post, all my quips had already been taken. I'm getting old.

Top 10 biggest traitors in Buffalo Bills history
The Dean replied to greenyellowred's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Admittedly did not go through the entire thread. So I'm the idiot chiming in, not knowing this has probably already been covered. In advance: My bad. #1 Gary Anderson. I'm a forgiving guy, but this POS tops my list. #2 Fred Smerlas. Have I mentioned how much I despise Fred Smerlas lately? Edit:#1 (if what I think might have happened actually happened), or just a hard luck dude: Ronnie Harmon. Without evidence I just can't include him. But I got my eyes on him. Honestly I don't think ANY of the OPs choices fit my description of "traitor". They are simply players that made business decisions, just as the team does. Should a player who gets traded consider the Bills a traitor to him? Just stupid thinking, IMO. -

Ah yes your metaphoric mouth-bath of Billy the Cheater's privates. I completely forgot about that remark. I can see how, out of context, it might be viewed as somewhat homophobic. I must have overlooked it as, in this instance, it was simply an description of what many here have already observed. Don't be insulted. Just come out of that closet, and proudly admit your man-crush on Belicheat. Oh, and that you actually dislike the Bills, and are just trolling here. For what it's worth, I actually was presented with the "Excellence in Teaching" award for graduate students, at UB. I typically don't bring it up, because I think those kinds of awards are mostly nonsense. But I'm still in contact with some former students, and they sing my praise. OTOH, I'm sure there are others who wish they never had to deal with me. -
Probably need both a Whammy Weenie and a Terrible Towel. Never mind.

ESPN appears to have terminated comment sections
The Dean replied to StHustle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just curious. Did ESPN announce the termination of the comments section? I never comment there, so I'm asking for someone in the know. The reason I ask is, I visit several sites who have temporarily suspended comments until they can comply with the GDPR regs. Just wondering if that might be the reason. -

Homophobic slur? I honestly have absolutely no idea where you are getting that. "Mrs WEO" is about the only thing I can find. Suggesting you might be a woman is in no way homophobic. It isn't even sexist. Although it is a comment (and a little joke) at your expense based on your sex. But it is no way suggests being a Mrs is anything less/inferior to a Mr. I just figured it might get your goat. Which I guess it did. And typically I try to be above that sort of thing. But since you are a troll here, I won't let it bother me. And, once again you failed to support your mean-spirited assumption Beals was academically ineligible due to a low IQ. In fact you have provided more of an argument suggesting his IQ probably isn't an issue, at all. Wouldn't have just have been easier to admit, you have no idea whatsoever why Sam Beals became academically ineligible? Because that's the truth. -
It's "One heart beat louder". No simply "beat louder". Get a clue. Either way, not impressed. But it's just marketing, so I don't give a damn.

Your argument gets sillier and sillier. The truth is I have no idea what Beals IQ is, and neither do you. Taking very few facts and mixing it in a bit about what you think you know about D1 programs (and apparently about EVERY D1 program and player), and jumping to a pre-established conclusion is a sign of delusion, not intelligence. And it certainly isn't sound logic. I have a friend with two PHDs and is one of the smartest guys I know (plus a pretty good jazz sax player). He once (1970's) flunked out of the New School in NYC---basically a school without grades, I believe. I can guarantee you, his IQ was not an issue. Every school has tutors available and anyone can get someone else to do their work. They doesn't take much of an IQ---it might take common sense, and a willingness to do it. But measuring that isn't the strength of the IQ tests. Plus since when did D1 universities give their star athletes a CHOICE in whether they have a tutor? Is that how you think it works? In the mid 80's I was teaching many classes at UB and was a visiting assistant professor at Canisius. One of my Canisius classes was known to be a very easy A (due to the prof I was filling in for). I told the students up-front, I was not that professor, and I didn't just give out As and Bs. I had several athletes in that class . Their coach would call me once every week, or two, to check on their progress. I told him the same thing all the time. "I don't know who that is, because he has never been to class." or "Yes he comes to class, on occasion, but sleeps in the back of the class (or simply doesn't participate)." Same thing, every call. No changes. I gave a TAKE HOME final. Got five exact copies of the same F paper---even the same spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, etc.--but in different handwriting. I failed them all. At the end of the year the dean (not me) called me in to see if I would change their grades. I showed him the damning evidence and refused to change the grades. (I have no idea if the dean overturned my grades, but I was done there, anyway.) I can tell you this. Not one of those athletes failed due to their IQ. No doubt he'll be falling all over himself to slobber on Belicheat's knob. That's just the way of the troll. Especially one as self-important, and as Ms. WEO. -
No joke. In the early 90's in SF, I worked with Henry (his last name is escaping me now)---from channel 7 during the Irv days (probably 80's). He did humours features. Had a mustache Well in Buffalo he went by Henry [some anglo sounding name). But in SF he went by his real name, Henry [some Jewish sounding name]. He explained to me, the management at WKBW said they couldn't have another Jewish name alongside Irv Weinstein. DAMN! What's that guy's name? One of you will certainly know.

Well, the way you answered the question makes your assumption (ineligible because of low IQ) even LESS of a probability. If, as you say, these DI players have tutors to complete all their assignments, and take no-show classes, having a low IQ wouldn't be an issue. Seriously, if you are going to be a total troll, all the time, get a bit smarter. -

That's because there is absolutely nothing wrong with what he said. It certainly wasn't unclassy. He simply complimented his current QB---that Bastard!!!! No mention whatsoever, of Goff. And as Watson was a FREE AGENT, Goff has nothing to do with the quote. But some people are obsessed with making others look bad. Even if they have to take innocuous remarks and stretch them to fit their narrative. Shame on the OP.
