    Yes, but the Court can strike the law down if it violates the Eighth Amendment. The SCOTUS, and not the states, is the final arbiter of what is constitutional or not.

    I skimmed the decision. The main precedent the Court seems to rely upon is Coker v. Georgia, 433 U. S. 58. The actual decision is very interesting, especially the part about the methodology the Court employs in Eighth Amendment cases.

    The comet was my first roller coaster and it freaked me out - I did not like the fact that only a bar over my lap protected me from falling into Lake Erie. But, I went on it again, and again, and again, and again. It must have been about when the park closed - around '86 or so? Yeah, from the top ten coaster site lined above this quote captured what freaked me out the most:

    I also just broke 100 this year (on May 30). I scored a 94 (47,47) with my dad, who never gives me a break. My goal was to break a 100 this year after I started golfing last July. I have had a terrible short game, but my 94 came a week after I bought a 60-degree wedge, which helps A LOT! I also learned the 7-iron pitch and roll deal which also helped.

    I DON'T CARE!!!!!!!! He will pay a fine for scraping the lady's leg. It is a misdemeanor for first time offender. I DON'T CARE!! I am not asking the guy to babysit my kid or to preach at my church. so, in sum, I Don't Care!!!!!!

    Here is an underrated film - it received mixed reviews but I consider it one of the best movies I ever saw. I am a huge Sam Mendes fan: ROAD TO PERDITION Movie Trailer rain scene Great quote by Paul Newman's character: "Natural law. Sons are put on this earth to trouble their fathers. " I LOVE THIS !@#$ING MOVIE!!!! It is the definition of underrated.

    When I came home my neighborhood smelled like chemicals. Told my wife and kid to meet me at a restaraunt and we stayed the !@#$ out until 8pm. It was nasty. I feel bad for the firefighters and anyone with small kids, asthma, or old folks. They said the plume went all the way to South Campus.

    Are you kidding me? watching a bunch of karate guys get schooled by Joyce Gracie was bush. These are top athletes who are skilled in a strategic combination of fighting arts. Now it is a sport whereas before it was a circus sideshow.

    Elite XC is the minor leagues of MMA - Scott Smith had a title shot? That guy was a UFC reject. Kimbo, Elite XC's main guy, would die in the UFC. His ground game was pathetic depite the Bas Rutten hype.

    That clip of the "alien" in the house was not the real video. That was a re-creation done by some guy at the Colorado Paranormal Society. He said he could recreate the video for less than $100. I hope the real video is better than that.
