  1. I just don't want NE** to tank in 2020 to get a blue chip QB in the 2021 draft.
  2. When they go to a 17 game season and increase active roster there will be space for ST mainly players.
  3. Tom Brady says thank you and goodbye to New England Patriots Tom Brady, widely regarded as the greatest quarterback in history, has said he will not be re-signing with the New England Patriots, ending one of the most successful partnerships in sports. https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/17/sport/tom-brady-leave-new-england-spt-intl/index.html
  4. Until they do mass testing this is still guessing. They can test for flu with sick people to eliminate that as being covid 19. The problem is many people could have covid 19 with no symptoms and spread it to more at risk people.
  5. Melvin Gordon supposedly turned down $10M a year offer holding out from Chargers . I would rather draft a RB then his price.
  6. March 13, 2020 at 9:32 a.m. EDT When President Trump took office in 2017, the White House’s National Security Council Directorate for Global Health Security and Biodefense survived the transition intact. Its mission was the same as when I was asked to lead the office, established after the Ebola epidemic of 2014: to do everything possible within the vast powers and resources of the U.S. government to prepare for the next disease outbreak and prevent it from becoming an epidemic or pandemic. One year later, I was mystified when the White House dissolved the office, leaving the country less prepared for pandemics like covid-19. The U.S. government’s slow and inadequate response to the new coronavirus underscores the need for organized, accountable leadership to prepare for and respond to pandemic threats. In a health security crisis, speed is essential. When this new coronavirus emerged, there was no clear White House-led structure to oversee our response, and we lost valuable time. https://www.washingtonpost.com/outlook/nsc-pandemic-office-trump-closed/2020/03/13/a70de09c-6491-11ea-acca-80c22bbee96f_story.html Bolton defends decision to shutter NSC pandemic office Former White House National Security Adviser John Bolton defended President Trump’s 2018 decision to shutter the National Security Council’s (NSC) office overseeing responses to pandemics, saying the move did not hinder the government’s response to the coronavirus. “Claims that streamlining NSC structures impaired our nation's bio defense are false. Global health remained a top NSC priority, and its expert team was critical to effectively handling the 2018-19 Africa Ebola crisis. The angry Left just can't stop attacking, even in a crisis,” Bolton tweeted Saturday morning. “Well, I just think it’s a nasty question,” Trump fired back when asked about the closure. “I don’t know anything about it. I mean, you say we did that. I don’t know anything about it. Disbanding, no, I don’t know anything about it.” https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/487581-bolton-defends-decision-to-shutter-nsc-pandemic-office

  11. As long as the players combine physical, workout , pro day were good , video interview should be fine . Delay draft maybe mid April at the most without fans would be ok. Other sports are losing big money for being delayed so NFL can take this small hit. Teams not knowing who they have in the draft , then they won't know what players they need to trade for and free agent needs and who to re-sign.
  12. Go for a young DJ Reader who is good at run defense. If they can't sign him and Shaq they may have to draft a DE at 22. Could Texans DT D.J. Reader end up with the Bills? https://texanswire.usatoday.com/2020/03/13/texans-d-j-reader-bills/
  13. KUALA LUMPUR • Malaysia's health authorities said 77 cases of the coronavirus in the country were from attendees of a recent mass gathering of the Tabligh missionary group at a mosque in Kuala Lumpur. The 77 cases confirmed by tests are spread over 12 of the 13 Malaysian states, and the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, and in Labuan, a statement from the country's Health Ministry said yesterday. Malaysia's confirmed cases totalled 238 yesterday, including 41 new cases. The 41 cases - the biggest single-day jump in Malaysia - included 37 from the mosque cluster https://www.straitstimes.com/asia/se-asia/malaysia-confirms-77-cases-from-mosque-event-in-kl https://www.accuweather.com/en/my/kuala-lumpur/233776/weather-forecast/233776 High temp Sunday and Monday of 97 degrees, that's bad news
  14. Once the 17-game schedule is implemented (as early as 2021) it will also reduce the preseason from four to three games. In 2019, there were five international games staged by the NFL. Now with 16 more regular season games to be added as soon as 2021, the new CBA allows for a maximum of 10 games to be played outside the US during the regular season.
  15. Coronavirus: Isolation for over-70s 'within weeks' Every Briton over the age of 70 will be told "within the coming weeks" to stay at home for an extended period to shield them from coronavirus, Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said. He told the BBC the advice will not come into force just yet but when it does it will last "a very long time". Wartime-like measures will ask car makers to produce medical equipment and turn hotels into hospitals, he said. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-51895873 yikes

  17. US airports swamped as coronavirus screening stalls returns from Europe Thousands of travelers returning from Europe crowded terminals at several U.S. airports Saturday night in cramped, hours-long lines amid newly implemented heightened coronavirus screening. The massive lines came hours after the Trump administration's 30-day travel ban on most of Europe took effect. The ban doesn’t apply to American citizens or permanent U.S. residents. Travelers returning from across the Atlantic were being routed to 13 U.S. airports, including Chicago O’Hare where waits were reportedly as long as eight hours to get through screening for the virus. https://www.foxnews.com/us/us-airports-swamped-as-coronavirus-screening-stalls-returns-from-europe The video of the terrible crowding at O'Hare was beyond belief
  18. Back in the old days before disposable diapers there was cotton cloth . Hold tight while flushing the toilet to semi clean them , then hot water and bleach in the washing machine. Not to wear but use like toilet paper (I'm old)
  19. I never knew that , my bad Valued for their soft texture, Kleenex and other facial tissues are at hand's reach in most homes. ... Facial tissues do not break down in water the same way toilet paper does. They should never be flushed down the toilet; flushed Kleenex can cause clogs and other serious plumbing issues.Jul 17, 2017
  20. Kleenex won't work (correction) , a wet washcloth then rinse out for one person as a last resort.
  21. Spotrac has his market value at $7.6M a year , so maybe a little more if he likes it here might do it.
  22. (Buffalo, NY) - In light of the serious health risks to vulnerable populations posed by the novel coronavirus, and to prevent widespread infection, Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger temporarily dispenses the Catholic faithful from the obligation to attend Mass on Sundays and Holy Days during the coronavirus threat. Until further notice, Catholics of the Diocese of Buffalo should use their prudent judgment as to whether or not to attend Mass. Older adults, people with underlying medical conditions, and family members of such individuals should take special care in discerning the best course of action to avoid exposure to large groups of people. At this time, Mass will continue to be offered publicly as announced or scheduled, contingent on emergency governmental restrictions regarding larger gatherings. All other parish events and larger celebrations, including Confirmations and Lenten penance services, must be postponed until the end of March out of an abundance of caution. Further guidance will be provided regarding April and May as developments become clear. https://www.wnycatholic.org/news/article/featured/2020/03/13/103900/bishop-scharfenberger-dispenses-catholics-from-sunday-and-holy-day-mass-obligation-due-to-coronavirus-threat
  23. One interesting development to come from the premature ending of the XFL season is its players being released from their contracts earlier than anticipated. In fact, the timing will allow those players to sign with interested NFL teams immediately following their exit physicals, which are scheduled to take place on Friday, per NFL.com's Tom Pelissero. With NFL teams gearing up for free agency (the legal tampering period is still tentatively scheduled to begin on Monday), more options are now on the table for personnel departments that have been keeping up with the reborn league since it kicked off the weekend following the Super Bowl. Here are five players we think did enough to earn a spot on an NFL team over the first (and only) five weeks of the XFL season. 1. QB P.J. Walker 2. WR Cam Phillips 3. CB Deatrick Nichols 4. QB Jordan Ta'amu 5. DT Cavon Walker https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/coronavirus-ends-xfl-season-early-five-players-who-could-land-on-their-feet-in-the-nfl/
  24. Chelsea Manning recovering after suicide attempt in jail, lawyers say Manning has been detained since May for refusing to testify before a grand jury about her disclosure of military and diplomatic secrets to the online anti-secrecy group WikiLeaks in 2010. "Manning has previously indicated that she will not betray her principles, even at risk of grave harm to herself," her legal team said, adding, "Her actions today evidence the strength of her convictions, as well as the profound harm she continues to suffer as a result of her 'civil' confinement." https://www.cnn.com/2020/03/12/politics/chelsea-manning-suicide-attempt-virginia-jail/index.html
