Saffold has the body of work. Maybe he's declining or maybe he will sign with the Jets and run us over twice a year. It's weird to assume McGovern, who was not a full time starter and was not re-signed by his previous team, is definitely without question better than a multi time pro bowl guard. He might me, fingers crossed. We don't know
-
I understand Saffold had a down year. I also understand he is a multiple time pro bowl player and McGovern is a 0 time pro bowl player. You might poo poo that but it means something to be voted in by your coaches and peers. They think Saffold is a very good player. McGovern may be too but that's definitely not a fact that he's better than Saffold until he shows it. He might be worse. The rookie has never played on the left. Ever. I'm sure they will train him up on that because they like flexibility but maybe he just can't do it. We don't know. To assume now he too is a better G than Saffold on the left is silly since he's never done it and I don't see him starting over Bates on the right unless they decide it's close and Bates needs to be backup C and not get injured. So it's not as cut and dry as everyone seems to think. You guys can give me all of the eye rolls you want but it's clearly just your opinion that we may be better on IOL but it's definitely not a fact. I think we are pretty much the same as last year on the OL overall. We still don't have a good RT and Dawkins had a down year at LT so he may be trending down. I do like the Murray and Harris signings. Low cost and high reward. I think they run harder than Motor did as that wasn't his specialty. They are better every down guys. And year 2 of Cook should be better than rookie year.

Your answer is above

The rookie only plays on the right side so he is the backup to Bates until we see otherwise. MCgovern may or may not be better this year than Saffold who is a multiple pro bowl veteran player, we'll see. People seem to be accepting that as a fact for some reason
-
Some people have a brain and well thought out opinions that sometimes go against mainstream thinking. The world would be a pretty boring place if we all just get in line and think exactly the same way
-
Sounds like wishful thinking
-
You have him starting over Bates? Let the kid get on the field before you say his is better than what we have. Bills traded up for Ford a few years back and everyone here loved that pick too
-
Safety I am counting our opening day roster vs this year. They added better depth with the guy from the Rams but starters the same. WR I disagree that we have improved until proven otherwise.

Same question
-
How so? We have Bates and McGovern penciled in currently
-
RB might be the only position group besides TE that we have improved at. Everything else is the same or worse. They really seemed to focus on getting some veteran help at that position this year.

Beane: “working on at least 2 veteran UFA’s”

Can he play MLB? -
Kincaid has never played a down. He definitely doesn't solve the WR2 problem

Eagles got 2 pro bowl type players in round 1 alone. This list is a joke

Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
K D replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
They were talking about it on WGR. Unless he's the best TE in the history of the Buffalo Bills then this pick will be a bust. The Bills haven't had much production from the TE position at all throughout their history. Who is their best TE ever? Now look up his stats and you won't be very impressed. TE is not a position you need to spend a #1 on -

Right, so nobody knows. That's the point. The post said Dallas was going to draft him like it was a fact. Nobody knows. Insiders said Dallas had no TE rated that high. We'll never know -

He's just a fan like you or me. There are people upset that we didn't trade all the way up for the 4th best WR or the 2nd best RB. Doesn't mean that was the right thing to do either -
Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
K D replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
The point by the OP is that this guy can have a great year by TE standards and it won't amount to much production at all. He might be great but who cares if he only has 400 yards receiving? That's not pushing us over the edge towards super bowl contention -
Wasn't sure about this guy then I heard his interview on WGR with the local press. The guy is like I took notes on who was picked ahead of me and I can't wait to tear this league up. I love the attitude

Wait so it's not a good idea to trade up for a TE (especially when you already have one that you don't use)? That can't be right. Beane can do no wrong- 185 replies

Deandre Swift from the Lions likely available via trade
K D replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall
What the heck?? Why are people helping the Eagles? Do they feel bad for the NFC and they want them to have a chance? And Roseman is a "genius" because he just took all of the players from the back to back national champs. Wow how did he know to look there for great talent? -

A Dallas insider saying they weren't going TE in round 1 but sure let's just go with what Beane said when justifying moving up -
Dodson started at MLB for 4 games last year I believe and also called the plays
