Stadium Construction Discussion (No PSL/Seat selection posts)
K D replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
They have an out in 2055 as per the contract. So they are tied to that stadium for 29 years. They can also pay a $1 billion relocation fee at any time I believe -
So Cobb is going there to coach? I highly doubt he would be into that. He's there to play
-
Good, keep Wilson, Davis, Hardman, and Mims on the sidelines and go with Cobb, Kumerow, and Lazard lol. There's only so many snaps/targets. This only hurts them

So safe to assume Oct 15 is the bye week? That would be pretty early in the schedule unfortunately

Some insight on Bills first round and how it went down
K D replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
The post said Dallas was definitely taking Kincaid. I said there's no proof of that. That's all. Check out all of the down votes. This is a pretty common sense argument but people are so brainwashed that they truly think Beane knew Dallas was taking Kincaid and they more than likely were not based on reporting since. Someone just acknowledge this fact and I'll shut up 😂 -

Uhh so nobody drafts their guy? They do mock drafts and see who is left and they see a bunch of TE's and put out a fake story that yes we want a TE then anyone who wants a TE feels obligated to take their guy before they pick and meanwhile they get the position they really want Exactly! I have no proof and neither do you! So I posted that there is zero evidence the Cowboys wanted Kincaid, which is 100% true, and check out all of the down votes and people saying "well Beane said they wanted him." Beane has no freakin clue and the only evidence we have is that Dallas put out a fake story that they wanted a TE and Beane seems to have bought it hook line and sinker. Maybe they are lying, we will never know. But it's definitely not a fact that they would have taken Kincaid like everyone seems to think -

That was my argument in that the only "proof" we have is Beane, who got antsy yet AGAIN, needed an excuse for why he moved up and gave up draft assets. As soon as that happened everyone was like ohhh he showed the Cowboys! But the Cowboys laughed it off and said they had no TE graded as high as Mazi Smith and their insider said they were definitely not taking a TE in round 1. You can choose to believe Beane or the Cowboys but it's 100% not a given that the Cowboys would have taken him. In fact it's been more proven otherwise and the only person saying the opposite is Beane who had to justify moving up -
This Bills over/under seems like stealing money

Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
K D replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's a commentary on how little TE's contribute to our offense. If he is only contributing less than 400 yards and 2 TD like what Hockenson did then he won't be on this team long enough for a 2nd contract just like Hockenson. Isaiah McKenzie put up better production than that as a gadget guy. If you are spending a 1st on a pass catcher you expect 800-1000 yards which would make him the best TE we have ever had in our entire history if he had those kinds of numbers -
Yes I agree it's Josh and also the OC not holding him accountable. You can't go bombs away every play. Take 3 steps, throw the ball. I can't even count the number of times it's like 3rd and 2 and he's throwing it 40 yards down field when I see 2 guys open at the bottom of the TV screen. I think Kincaid will be a RedZone threat but for all of you guys that think he's going to be Beasley with 80 catches for 1000 yards then prepare to be disappointed
-
Maybe but what I see is Josh Allen scrambling and whatever play they had called is off and it becomes a scramble drill with everyone focusing on Diggs. I haven't seen Josh do a 3 step drop and hit a receiver maybe ever, at least not since the height of Cole Beasley's career
-
Agree with that. WR2 is still a problem. Teams at the end of the year doubled Diggs which led to him blowing up on the sidelines. Expect more of that this year

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
K D replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
He likes $$$$. These guys are all talk when they say they want to play for a contender. They only play for themselves -

Yes the Buffalo Bills fan forum is less biased. Got it, I'll just believe everything I read here from now on -
I see a lot of "I bet" and "hopefully" and "it's likely" when it comes to McGovern. Yes hopefully he's better and not worse. Both are possible outcomes. Too early to say our OL is any better let alone "vastly improved" and "leaps and bounds better."
-
We have seen Bates and his body of work. We have trust with what he can do on this line because he has the years of working with this group. Bates played better than Saffold last year but is Bates a better player than Saffold? When their careers are over I don't know if anyone would think that would be the case as it stands currently. Saffold might have just had a bad year, might have had issues geling with the team, might have had injuries he played through. We will never know. I would not assume Dallas' backup G will step in and be leaps and bounds better. He played well for Dallas on an already dominant line. This is a different group, different scheme, different coaches. We'll see. He could be worse than Saffold which is just as equally likely but nobody wants to admit that.
-
I don't think McGovern is a huge improvement, no. I think if he was so great he would start for Dallas or they would re-sign him for depth. He came here for a chance to start so we'll see. Hopefully he's better. He might be worse than what we had. Maybe Saffold just needed time to gel with the line. We'll never know.
-
Not presenting it as fact. I said I don't think we are better, which is my well formed opinion, and everyone is saying I'm wrong because we drafted a backup RG and signed a backup LG to start for us in place of a guy who is well regarded by the league but had a down year. I don't see our OL as being vastly improved. I think they are trying some new pieces and we'll see. RB is definitely improved imo. Motor was a shifty change of pace guy. I never saw him as an every down type back. It was evident when we needed 1 yard and everyone knew we were running. We didn't have an answer for those types of plays and ended up running with Josh a lot of the time. Now hopefully we have some guys that can get the tough yards
-
Possible...even likely. But not a fact
-
Saffold has the body of work. Maybe he's declining or maybe he will sign with the Jets and run us over twice a year. It's weird to assume McGovern, who was not a full time starter and was not re-signed by his previous team, is definitely without question better than a multi time pro bowl guard. He might me, fingers crossed. We don't know
-
I understand Saffold had a down year. I also understand he is a multiple time pro bowl player and McGovern is a 0 time pro bowl player. You might poo poo that but it means something to be voted in by your coaches and peers. They think Saffold is a very good player. McGovern may be too but that's definitely not a fact that he's better than Saffold until he shows it. He might be worse. The rookie has never played on the left. Ever. I'm sure they will train him up on that because they like flexibility but maybe he just can't do it. We don't know. To assume now he too is a better G than Saffold on the left is silly since he's never done it and I don't see him starting over Bates on the right unless they decide it's close and Bates needs to be backup C and not get injured. So it's not as cut and dry as everyone seems to think. You guys can give me all of the eye rolls you want but it's clearly just your opinion that we may be better on IOL but it's definitely not a fact. I think we are pretty much the same as last year on the OL overall. We still don't have a good RT and Dawkins had a down year at LT so he may be trending down. I do like the Murray and Harris signings. Low cost and high reward. I think they run harder than Motor did as that wasn't his specialty. They are better every down guys. And year 2 of Cook should be better than rookie year.
-
Your answer is above
-
The rookie only plays on the right side so he is the backup to Bates until we see otherwise. MCgovern may or may not be better this year than Saffold who is a multiple pro bowl veteran player, we'll see. People seem to be accepting that as a fact for some reason
