  1. Head shot too messy - crotch shot would have been better to keep him from multiplying.
  2. I'll play the serious card. If you do get a couple of words with him tell him that we just want an honest effort from him.
  3. Somewhat similar experience. Wifey is on my back about the cost of my dry cleaning. Says she found a shop that is half the price of my current place. Current place is a one off - not chain, owners know everyone by name, does a good job, opens on time, etc. So, to get the wifey off my back I try her place. Sign says they open at 7am. I'm there a few minutes early. 20 minutes later they're still not open - I leave to get to work. I try again the next day. Same deal - 15 minutes late - I leave. I tell this to my wife and she says that I should try again. I go in this place the next Sat and ask for the owner / manager. I tell him this story and he says that it will get corrected. I drive by this place every day the next week and it is never open on time. I go back to my current cleaner and relay the story. He says thank you for the business and matches the other stores price. I'll pay a bit more for the service thank you wifey.
  4. HLN's Robin Meade Linky
  5. Wouldn't it be cool if some network would replay the entire A-11 flight?!
  6. Looking into comments about the article - sounds like the book's title is Moon Landing: Apollo 11 40th Anniversary Pop-Up. Authors are Richard Platt, David Hawcock.
  7. Damn Nic, we need to have more off site meetings here in Italy.
  8. Dinosaur B-B-Q sauce not bad. It has an interesting flavor. I mix a bit of it with Ancor Bar wing sauce just before taking chicken off the grill. I got it at Wegman's on my last visit home.
  9. Take your cell phone down to the absolute minimum. No texting, internet. If you don't have a car - don't get one. If you have one - get rid of it and get a bike / walk. Limit your partying to 1 to 2 nights / week. Don't go on spring break.
  10. John - I'm somewhat of the poster child for Dean's last comment. I graduated out of HS in the top 15% of my class of ~400. Thought I knew stuff. Applied to RIT, Syracuse, Pitt, and Cincy for engineering. Accepted to RIT. Boy, did reality hit - hard. I couldn't study my way out of a paper bag with both ends open. Darn near flunked out. Made a deal with school if I went JUCO route (ECC) they would let me back in - on probation. Learned how to study and darn near aced ECC while working and being an unpaid asst coach for 2 sports at old HS. Went back to RIT and struggled again. Realized that I did not have the aptitude for theory - practical was my game. Finished with Mech Eng Tech degree. Signed on at TI making more than my old man. 20+ yrs, 2 layoffs, 4 employers , and 2 moves later I am in a good place. Point here is just because this particular door closes not all are. Many are still open. Look at the options at D2 or D3. I hear / talk to more people that played sports at that level and are still tight with their teammates than at the D1 level and are very successful at what they do. I appreciate your disappointment, but don't be. Encourage him, kick him in the butt when he needs it. In the end, it is your son that will set the direction for his life. You and your wife can only set the foundation.
  11. Curly Bison It
  12. The banner on the top or bottom of the screen that shows the score. Can that be reduced in size somehow? I don't need to see it 90ft away.
  13. For small repair / fill jobs, I use a slightly damp (almost dry) sponge when the mud is still a bit "grey". Light pressure and no sanding / dust. Tough to do though with corners, small space, that kind of stuff.
  14. It is a new chain - sort of. There was a couple of stores in the Cincy area 10-15 years ago and then went black. Group bought the name from the original owner. There is one near me in Columbus. It like a BW3 with less burgers and stuff. Wings tend to be larger in size than BW3, but the last time I was there they were literally swimming in sauce.
  15. Ohio State football Danica Patrick
  16. Stevie Ray Vaughn Traveling to a place where you've planned / saved for a year and it turns out better than you planned (Paris in my case) Eating that first peach / apple of the season Hearing giggles of little kids Teaching a kid how to fish and getting a 5lb large mouth bass the first time out A good fish fry A good bottle of wine Friends A smoked drive off the tee, a putt that curls into the center of the cup with enough speed that it rattles when it hit bottom A good piece of road No extraneous noise
  17. That was Shinnecock where they were having the problems with the greens. Take it from someone who has played Pinehurst #2 a couple of times. The ball will stay on the green if you play the right shot. Miss and it might roll back or to the right / left depending on the contour. Greens are like inverted bowls.
  18. Yoga class.
  19. After a State of Ohio employee "lost" a backup drive from his vehicle, I was notified like you. My experience, no - no issues.
  20. I found this on bikeforums.net - Hope it helps.
  21. If the top of the unit is easily removable, it's not a bad practice to give the coils a good clean/rinse once in a while. Switch the unit off, remove the top, spray the coil(s) with AC cleaner or something similar to Simple Green. Let stand for a few minutes then rinse real well with water. Will help with the efficiency of the unit.
  22. What ever happened to #25? That was a case for the strange.
  23. Now that King has moved to Boston from NJ will we see more coverage of Brady?
  24. Picture from last week's Race for the Cure showed S Spielman in a wheelchair.
