  1. If you use the ShurLine paint edger just be careful that you might have a band at where you applied the paint. I "backrolled" the edging with a small roller to blend in the edge before rolling the wall.
  2. I used to work for a company that built new electronic equipment and serviced out of date equipment for a variety of customers. I was transitioned to a "customer service manager" from a project manager. When I took on the new role I promised myself that I would provide the customer something extra. I initiated periodic status meetings with the customers. Content included order status, issue resolution, return material status, etc. I also would communicate shipping information (carrier, tracking number) when an order was shipped as the customer was responsible for the freight charges. Many of these customers where shocked at this and the level that I went into. Why are you doing this they asked? Because, if I roles were reveresed I would want this information. Many could not get over this idea. In fact, I was able to get some added service fees added to our contracts for this. It is not hard to do this. Just takes some time, attention to detail, and a commitment to your customer. Sorry for your issues with Dell. I would send a note(s) outlining your issue.
  3. Paint used was Zolatone. S-W has a similar product, but is called something else - don't know the name. I had a friend apply the paint as it is not a "at home" process and there is a bit of technique involved. Clear sealant was then applied. Zolatone linky
  4. Per Indy Star. Linky
  5. How about putting a buzzer on the play clock like basketball. Play clock goes to zero, horn sounds, no ball in play, throw flag. Sounds simple.
  6. Yuk yuk.
  7. Corp - thanks for the info. Let me look into this. I am no hardware junkie by any stretch of the imagination. Computer being connected to has USB, 1394 (Firewire), and spare PC card port. Essentially, Dell D630 laptop.
  8. Know that this should really be on the consumer section, please allow a bit of leeway here before shifting there. Looking for an external hard drive to back up some internal SharePoint sites here at work. Current file size is approx. 25G. Looking at 1T USB format. Any pros, cons, suggestions, concerns, issues? Thanks.
  9. Coming from Columbus we stayed in the Millersburg / Berlin area. It is about 40 miles west and south of Canton.
  10. His web site says that they are special contact lenes issued by Nike to reduce the glare.
  11. Reminds me of "Lead, Follow, or GET OUT OF THE WAY!!"
  12. Hey, if it is free and from the government people will flock like bees to sugar. Probably think that they are going to get 300 channels.
  13. I had just the doors and faces painted, left the frames alone. It was a spray on paint that came out in a multi-colored speckeled finish. I can't remember the name of the paint though. Wasn't cheap either - about $75 for a gallon. I'll check my notes.
  14. What everyone else said - MOVE ON.
  15. I've skied for more than 30yrs and never in my life have I heard / seen anything like this.
  16. Maybe he reeled in a bit for family reasons.
  17. If Kerry Collins takes TN to the promised land I don't think he will be traveling anywhere. Current recovery plan for Brady makes it sound like NE will keep Cassell. Fitz in Cincy seems like a lock due to his performance this season. Sims - un-proven over a period of time. Garcia - will never stand for second string. The rest are left over dishwater.
  18. But, in thinking, why do you not have to do the same when installed in the living section of the home?
  19. My nomination for quote of the week.
  20. That's a possibilty - wouldn't be too hard to do. I'll have to check around to find out the code.
  21. I'll keep mine so that if we are really stinking up the joint or if the local 4pm broadcast is a dog I can pick a different game.
  22. Nope - drywall on walls and ceiling.
  23. You beat me to it.
  24. Commented to a co-worker that I put in some pull down stairs in my garage to have access to the unused space above the garage for general light-weight storage. The one that I put up is all wood. He asked if there was a fire barrier or fire resistant. It's not. I ask the almight knowers of all things - Is this a requirement? Am I going to get dinged when I try to sell the house? Workarounds?
