  1. I put my 13yo lab Tex down last Father's Day. Helped to some extent that our vet is a close personal friend and neighbor. Tex went through displasia and congestive heart failure towards the end with a pretty good rebound with some meds the previous fall. Tipoff was the rapid loss of appetite and loss of control in the house. Procedure is not fun by any stretch, but for all the unquestioned love she gave us it was the least that I could do to be there for her in her final moments. Her eyes told me that she was ready and understood. What Cincy said is spot on. Be understanding, to each other.
  2. A good guacamole.
  3. Bryan Cox, DL coach. Is it the one and only past friend of Bills fans? Linky
  4. WIVB Linky
  5. Jeez, why does this always breakdown to a "connection" thing? Find the best guy available and get on with it!
  6. Sounds like tomorrows Obama-fest will be interesting. Couple of inches of snow forecasted for tonight with temps in the lower 30's tomorrow and winds 10-15mph, gusting to 25.
  7. -8F in C'bus burbs. "Thankfully" not a cloud in the sky.
  8. Take it. Option would be to have some sort of performance bonus baked in (% quality improvement over X time).
  9. My 2 cents. I would re-think the market. Rather than residential roofing, what about commercial? When $ are tight most homeowners are going to defer the expense (Honey, we need to put off the new roof so that we can get the kids braces.). However, when a commercial building needs a new roof - if needs a new roof.
  10. If you use the ShurLine paint edger just be careful that you might have a band at where you applied the paint. I "backrolled" the edging with a small roller to blend in the edge before rolling the wall.
  11. I used to work for a company that built new electronic equipment and serviced out of date equipment for a variety of customers. I was transitioned to a "customer service manager" from a project manager. When I took on the new role I promised myself that I would provide the customer something extra. I initiated periodic status meetings with the customers. Content included order status, issue resolution, return material status, etc. I also would communicate shipping information (carrier, tracking number) when an order was shipped as the customer was responsible for the freight charges. Many of these customers where shocked at this and the level that I went into. Why are you doing this they asked? Because, if I roles were reveresed I would want this information. Many could not get over this idea. In fact, I was able to get some added service fees added to our contracts for this. It is not hard to do this. Just takes some time, attention to detail, and a commitment to your customer. Sorry for your issues with Dell. I would send a note(s) outlining your issue.
  12. Paint used was Zolatone. S-W has a similar product, but is called something else - don't know the name. I had a friend apply the paint as it is not a "at home" process and there is a bit of technique involved. Clear sealant was then applied. Zolatone linky
  13. Per Indy Star. Linky
  14. How about putting a buzzer on the play clock like basketball. Play clock goes to zero, horn sounds, no ball in play, throw flag. Sounds simple.
  15. Yuk yuk.
  16. Corp - thanks for the info. Let me look into this. I am no hardware junkie by any stretch of the imagination. Computer being connected to has USB, 1394 (Firewire), and spare PC card port. Essentially, Dell D630 laptop.
  17. Know that this should really be on the consumer section, please allow a bit of leeway here before shifting there. Looking for an external hard drive to back up some internal SharePoint sites here at work. Current file size is approx. 25G. Looking at 1T USB format. Any pros, cons, suggestions, concerns, issues? Thanks.
  18. Coming from Columbus we stayed in the Millersburg / Berlin area. It is about 40 miles west and south of Canton.
  19. His web site says that they are special contact lenes issued by Nike to reduce the glare.
  20. Reminds me of "Lead, Follow, or GET OUT OF THE WAY!!"
  21. Hey, if it is free and from the government people will flock like bees to sugar. Probably think that they are going to get 300 channels.
  22. I had just the doors and faces painted, left the frames alone. It was a spray on paint that came out in a multi-colored speckeled finish. I can't remember the name of the paint though. Wasn't cheap either - about $75 for a gallon. I'll check my notes.
  23. What everyone else said - MOVE ON.
