  1. He's a rookie and he looks bad. I know it's his 3rd game, but he needs to sit for Tuel. Tuel looked great in the preseason and doesn't even need an offensive line(he played behind a backup line all preseason). So I say we sit OR TRADE ej. I know that everyone's not going to agree, but if we trade EJ and CJ to a team that needs a raw rookie QB and a mediocre, undersized luxury pick RB, we might be able to get a good guard and possibly another TE to help Tuel out for the wild card game come January. Trust me, it seems like a rash decision now, but when Tuel throws for his 3,000th yard in december, no one is going to want me to bring this post up, because it will be a huge I TOLD YOU SO.
  2. Does every other team take injury after injury or is it just the Bills? or is it because we're so close to the team, we pay more attention? because when stevie was grabbing his hand in pain yesterday and carrington and mckelvin went down and then CJ left, I audibly said god hates us.
  3. How are you in way over your head when you don't utilize those types of plays? He could just, you know, start running them and then what? Is he no longer in over his head if he starts throwing bubble screens and having EJ roll out? It's the players not executing.

  5. I know some are going to make the case that TJ may not be producing in the box score, but that his ability to stretch the field is opening underneath routes, BUT i'm still saying if you're good, your stats reflect it. We can't afford to have a 3WR whose best asset is "distraction"
  6. If you read a couple posts down, i said "no, gilmore did not have a setback."
  7. I was positive that based on the subject title that microscope wrote this. Something like "while everyone's full of sunshine and rainbows....we have a franchise safety faking an injury, our backup QB is still an undrafted rookie, Goodwin is probably out for the season and Gilmore had a setback in therapy.
  8. when marrone goes up to ej before the drive and ej laughs because he's relaxed and coach isn't, tells everything. the kid is just unrattled.
  9. "blaine gabbert couldn't throw a beach ball to a six-armed man." deadspin was correct.
  10. he's gotta be talking about a CB. "pressed on that slant?" McKelvin? Someone else Stevie beat on a play? or maybe he's talking about stevie getting pressed up in the slot. maybe because he's being covered by LBs sometimes in the slot?
  11. Here's my gripe: Graham's gift is speed. But not route running, just go routes down the sideline. That's all good and well, but when your best route is a risky throw down the sidelines which usually has to be on the money and over a CB under a safety, it's not the best for a rookie QB. We need possession WR in there and I think Easely is much more suited for that.
  12. Love McFaddens. Used to do Calico Jacks next door as well.
  13. What does Easely have to do to get a shot with this offense? Because TJ just isn't showing me enough, especially for a WR who's playing HALF of the offensive snaps. GIve me a 6' 2 217lb wr who played well in preseason over a 5-11 188lb wr who has underperformed thus far( 1 catch 8 yds, 1 rush 5 yds). I think giving EJ four big targets (SJ, Woods, Chandler and Easely) is the right call. Thoughts? Sorry if this was already discussed...
  14. i live in Charlotte. This team has weapons on both sides of the ball, but they can't get out of their own way sometimes. Cam is the leader, but he also wants the spotlight and that doesn't mesh very well. They'll put up a few really impressive drives, some spectacular runs/throws, but in the end, if you play them for 60 minutes with consistency, you'll beat them handily.
  15. So this is unrelated to Sunday's game, more of an overall football rules question. Scenario: you're out of timeouts and it's the final 20 seconds of the game. You throw a long pass down the middle of the field. The clock is running and your team isn't going to make it in time to spike the ball. Can you: have all of your players standstill, while the two players closet to the ball serve as the center and QB. snap and spike the ball to stop the clock? It would be illegal formation and there isn't a 10 second run off for that. Five yard penalty and the clock stops to set up another play/fg. Is this possible?
  16. A lot of people are pointing to Stevie's drop as the turning point in the game, but I'd like to go back to early in the 3rd quarter. We marched down the field scored a TD, and then stopped NE on the goal line, recovering a fumble. The momentum is clearly on our side and then on a 3rd and 1 on our own 42 we throw a 15 yard swing pass to Freddie. Bringing us to the Pats 43, and the whole thing is undone with an Urbik illegal hands. Even on the replay I never saw anything. Bills had to punt after not converting a 3rd and 11. Anyone see anything from Urbik?
  17. I think this is more of a match-up issue. Who really wants to see the panthers? i can't even relate to the AFC South.
  18. Two spots on this week's predictions: The most aggravating part about making predictions is that, at the end of the season, one surprise team will go 12-4 and it'll TOTALLY make sense as to why they went 12-4, but it won't make any sense right at this moment. No one told me EJ Manuel would run for 15 touchdowns and led the Bills to a stunning AFC East title. Three Throwgasms Patriots at Bills: No Jeff Tuel? I feel so let down. You mean to tell me that the Bills passed on starting a hard-working undrafted free agent in favor of a FIRST ROUND MEGABUCKS GLAMOUR BOY?! Sounds like a recipe for failure if you ask me. By the way, the Bills fans sent the best emails for our season previews. I desperately want them to crush the Patriots and then go 11-5. Reality's a B word.
  19. This is my biggest point of contention with the NFL. You're a multi billion dollar operation with millions bet each game and you have a 70 year old ref "EYE UP" how far he thinks the ball advanced, then he runs in a "straight" line to spot the ball and then you bring out a chain and two sticks to measure it. my favorite is when it's short by an inch. like that ref could spot the ball 5 different ways as he runs from the sideline to the spot. It's ridiculous.
  20. I'm not trying to put this evil on the Bills, but I've had consecutive dreams of Spiller going down with a knee injury early in the game. i'm talking back to back nights of the same dream.
  21. We would be doing ourselves a huge disservice by dropping back and letting Brady throw.
