  1. If they are the best duo in the nfl there aren't many good corners in the NFL. They both got burned so many times yesterday it was sickening. Now, they are young and may develop into a good tandem, but one is in his second season and maybe 8-9 starts under his belt and the other in his first NFL game ever, so way to early to say they are the best. So far they are closer to the worst then the best, but hopefully that will change.
  2. He was invisible, but other then Kyle Williams and Dareus, the whole front line was-did Anderson even play? That said, it was his first real game in almost 11 months, the run defense wasn't nowhere near as bad as the pass defense and I would think they ran away from him quite a bit, in fact most of their runs went up the middle. I won't give up on Mario yet, but I gave up on Fitz a year and a half ago, he is the big problem on this team. No NFL team will even go 8-8 with Fitz at QB, he is just that bad. You can't single handedly give the other team 3-4 touchdowns and expect the rest of the team to make up for your sorry ass. It wasn't just the picks, Fitz threw 3-4 more that could have easily been additional interceptions and several passes that we just bad passes and poor decisions.
  3. The Bills have one of the weakest schedules in the NFL this year, but with that said I think they still will be 1-4 after the first 5 games, only beating Cleveland.
  4. Not taking anything away from C.J. Spiller, he had an unbelievable burst yesterday, but not quite sure he would had quite as big a day if Fitz hadn't already given the Jets a 3 touchdown lead with interceptions. With that big of a lead teams are bound to play a little softer and expect the pass. That is what I was thinking, go back to the form that helped you lead the league in interceptions last season.
  5. [ So because he led the league in interceptions last year it is alright for him to suck this year because we expect it? Really?
  6. Gotta be Fitz. The defense has alot of new parts, and not making excuses because they sucked at least in pass coverage, but Fitz for the most part in the same offense with the same guys as last year. The protection was pretty good he just made terrible decisions and even worse throws all day long. He has continued his downward spiral from the day after he signed his contract extension last year, the rib excuse aside, he is getting worse. They hired a new QB coach to help him, but the guy is supposed to be one of the smartest guys in the NFL but he makes some of the dumbest decisions. I guess playing quarterback is different then sitting at a desk and taking a written test. I like Fitz as a person, and love the effort he gives forth, but this front office and coaching staff's insistence on keeping Fitz at QB will ultimately cost them all their jobs. And as far as the defense, yea they gave up some plays, but the total yardage was close, and who put them in bad field position over and over-Fitz did. They got 21 points directly off of his picks and gave up a return for a TD, that was enough to beat the Bills already.
  7. How else do you prove you are good if it isn't by winning?
  8. It is 6.25% important (1/16th). Seriously though, it is real important, it is a division game, the entire fanbase has optimism it hasn't quite had in awhile, I think the pressure is on the coaching staff and GM to put a winner on the field this year and heck, we're (fans) pretty tired of being a losing team.
  9. Yea we're optimistic but at the same time we are nervous and scared to optimistic, at least for us Bills fans who have been her for decades. Alot of people would rather take the viewpoint of I would rather be surprised in a good way then to be overly optimistic and be disappointed-AGAIN!
  10. Not sure what game you watched but the refs did fine, had no effect on the game. Only questionable call the entire game was a borderlne hold against Cruz, and a game doesn't go by with the regular officials that there isn't AT LEAST one questionable call just as bad.
  11. I disagree, there are alot more mobile type QBs in the league now that are successful then the traditional pocket passers like Luck. Back when Kelly played there were what, 1 or 2 at most (Cunningham, and who?) And as far as what eball said, he was correct, whether you agree with what Kelly said or not, he still didn't say what the OP stated, so it was taken out of context.
  12. I think these two teams are pretty evenly matched myself, both have strengths and weaknesses, and in alot of situations they are in the same positions. If I had to make a bet, I would say whomever wins the turnover battle, wins the game.
  13. Actually I listed to the interview and he didn't say there are not a lot of good QBs in the NFL right now. He said that back in his days they NFL was looking for pocket passers like himself, nowadays they are looking for the more mobile running QBs which the college systems more readily prepares them for. After that he jokingly said (at least it sounding jokingly) that if it wasn't the previous situation then there aren't many good QBs in the league right now.
  14. Seems like almost every week, Sexy Rexy brings in someone who was just recently released by the Jets' next opponent. If it works, it actually isn't a bad idea if you have roster space.
  15. All I know is I will be glad when sunday gets here, seems like it takes about 3 years for the opening weekend to finally arrive.
  16. Rex as an asshat, but how is that bragging?
  17. I can see keeping McGee if he is healthy, it is a young group of DBs, so his veteran leadership and experience will help. As far as Smith, I am with you-why is he here? He sucks returning kicks, he just runs straight until the first guy hits him, and he falls down if he doesn't fumble. He is an OK #5 or 6 wide receiver, but not great. As far as the Wild Cat, what did he do from that last year a couple first downs, no huge plays, and the league has figured that offense out. Having to keep 4 QBs, counting him as the #3 and an extra kicker (which I am fine with) has put the Bills already shallow depth at WR, even shallower.
  18. Lucky B*st*rd, at least he doesn't something right.
  19. and he doesn't do any of the above very well. With Buffalo he has actually played receiver better then any of the other positions you mention and that wasnt that great, and there is a logjam of mediocre talent at that position already. Actually the biggest change before last season was if the #3 came in the game, the #1 and #2 QBs couldn't reenter. That rule is obsolete now.
  20. True, and not only was Cookie traded at one point he was kicked off the team until the team lobbied for Saban to let him back on the team. Nowadays in the NFL, if he were to be kicked off the team, another team would have signed him before he got out of the door.
  21. Supposedly Ralphy and Cookie made amends a just a couple days before Cookie passed, but not sure you can totally put decades of ill feelings behind you in a day or two. Saban, will never get on the wall while Ralph is alive and somewhat kicking, but will probably go up before Ralph's body is cold when he does pass, and deservedly so. Not downplaying anything Cookie did for the BIlls, but he did only play for 3 seasons, great ones at that, but still just 3 seasons.
  22. What if I win the lottery too?
  23. Fitz has as much heart as any starting QB in the league, but you are correct he doesn't have the arm strength or accuracy to be in the top half of the leagues #1 QBs. Actually he either doesn't have the height or makes bad decisions also, since he has 2-4 balls batted down every single game.
  24. That might actually help the Jets, they probably win more with Tebow in at QB anyway.
  25. Jet's stadium sells out of coffee in Bills 5-3 win over the Jets.
