Urgency on who's part? The fans maybe, but the FO doesn't seem to urgent to get an NFL starting caliber QB. We have been thinking for the past few years that the Bills "Have To" draft a QB, and they did a few years ago with Levi Brown-gave us fans what we wanted for sure.

I want to say that is funny but it isn't because it does happen 3-4 times a game. Never seen anything like that, Fitz gets more balls batted down in every game then most QBs do in an entire season.

I am not the world's biggest fan of this FO, but I don't think trying to draft a speed guy when you have none whatsoever on your roster is a real reach. You are talking from your view point and millions of other's viewpoints, but this FO apparently doesn't think the Bills need a QB, or at least they want you to believe they feel that way.

If the preseason is any indication, it might come down to whichever defense scores the most points off of turnovers. Who throws the most picks Fitz or Sanchez/Tebow? Might decide the outcome.

Not saying it is any better or any worse then any other surface in the NFL (although I think it is obvious real grass is safer), but the Bills do not use Field Turf like Roethlisberger stated, they use a turf called A-Turf Titan. FieldTurf is a brand name for a type of artificial surface that many NFL teams use, either in their stadiums or on their practice fields. A-Turf Titan is a different type of artificial surface that the Bills are alone among NFL teams in using at their home fields.

Not sure it is a cluster, it is just sorely lacking in talent. They have talent in the upper half of the NFL at running back, and the interior of the O-line, other than that, they are in the bottom half all around on offense.

I agree Fitz is a problem, keeping this team from being elite, but he is far from the only weakness. To say the WR corps isn't a problem is a joke. Our best receiver, Stevie Johnson, drops more balls then any other receiver in the NFL. The rest of our receiving corps is undrafted with the exception of Graham who is a rookie and hasn't done anything yet. The O-Line is starting a rookie at the most important spot on the line protecting Fitz's blindside. This team is better probably then it has been in awhile, a long while on defense, but the offense as a whole is still easily in the bottom portion of the league, not just at the QB position.

I don't think you draft any position just for the sake of drafting one. Obviously you have a better chance of finding an eventual successful starting quarterback by taking a chance in the draft more then you do trading for QBs who are on the verge of getting cut or have been bouncing around the league from team to team.

I am still wondering why they brought PigPen back after seeing his play last season?

The Steelers had a real long drive against them, but it really isn't defense that has me real worried, they have been pretty good for the most part (alot of the points have been scored by the opposing defense or at least put in good position by the opposing defense). The problem with this team is going to be the offense and it could be a real big problem. They didn't address any of the weaknesses (QB, WR) starting a rookie at LT (not saying he won't be good but he is a rookie), have maybe the weakest WR depth in the AFC in not the entire NFL. Our QB depth is a mess. Defense will be much better then last year, but the offense is going to take a miracle, and maybe Jackson turns out to be that miracle-but I highly doubt it.

Just think if there were only 2 preseason games this year, there would have been no need for the Jackson trade, as coming off the second game, VY looked pretty good and everyone said he had the backup QB sewn up.

That's easy. We needed a receiver who only started a part of one season at that football powerhouse Connecticut.

i agree, it has been so long that one is hesitant to let his hopes get up again to face disappointment. Hopefully that long pattern ends this season.

Adjusted my expectations-No. This FO and coaching need to put up or shut up this season. Have I adjusted my optimism a bit, yea probably have.

I hope it is, especially since he has been a "Beast" for them, and got the better end of that deal, they owe us.

You are probably correct, but at least one thing is going in our favor. If any team in the league has had an offense less productive then ours has been this preseason, it has been the Jets. They haven't scored a TD yet in 3 games.

Also read where he has a dislocated knee cap (ouch) to go along with those injuries. I read the entire post, I haven't found anyone on here who is saying it is so sad and unfortunate? Are you replying to the wrong post or what, or just didn't feel like reading any of it before replying?

Exactly, Gronk and Hernandez play two distinctive roles in the Pats offense. If all Hernandez was only insurance why did they just extend him after extending Gronk not that long ago? Some people will say the dumbest things trying to defend this FO, who by the way have averaged less wins per season then their predecessors did.

If everything were the same as far as the trade, I take Tebow in a heartbeat, not even close.

Heck, don't mentioned a Pro Bowl tight end who broke every single season receiving record for tight ends in just his second season. Not sure how you can defend the Spiller pick then type that second sentenced you typed?

It really is no wonder why the Patriots will win the AFC East by 4 or 5 games again this year. They have a QB in the top 10% of the league and the other 3 teams have starting quarterbacks in the bottom 20% of the leagues starting quarterbacks.

Is it an upgrade, yea probably, but that wouldn't take much. He was going to get cut, but another bad backup who cant cut it elsewhere is brought in to be the savior. They might has well have waited 24 hours and see who else was released, or even gotten jackson for nothing. Maybe the Seahawks will turn the pick into a Pro Bowl QB to hand the ball off to Beast Mode. Seems with each passing week, the optimism for this season goes down just a little bit. If Fitz and the offense don't wake up, all the additions on the defense will be for not.

Not sure if anyone else was watching NFL Network last night while they were jumping around the games. The studio guys got into a discussion about Vince Young and basically said he doesn't prepare like he should, he doesn't really love football, etc. They noted some away games when he was on the Titans he didn't even take the team flight home? He obviously has all the physical tools, but I think this might be his last chance and he blew that last night.

A good portion of the stadiums in the NFL have the same turf? So doubt that is the reason for the injuries.
