  1. I personally think if they can split with the Jets and Pats, no matter what happens in the other 4 games, they have a decent shot at the last wild card spot. If they could pull one of the two other games out that would almost clinch it.
  2. He doesn't make many picks that aren't from the South East schools though-I guess they can understand each other when they talk.
  3. Yea, no way a team would trade him unless they got blown away with an offer. He is just 28 years old now, 2 or 3 years of rebuilding and he is still in his prime and a top 2 or 3 receiver in the entire NFL.
  4. If I had a choice I probably would have taken Brian Bulaga from the OT from Iowa, there was a much greater need there then at RB especially after trading Jason Peters. Maybe Jermaine Gresham, a much greater need there and probably still is. There were 6 Pro Bowlers picked after Spiller in the first round alone and one early in the 2nd round.
  5. Then last year it was "He'll never lead the NFL in interceptions-then he did!"
  6. You are correct. For a decade the Bills and Dolphins dominated the Patriots and Colts in the AFC East, why? Because Jim Kelly and Dan Marino against teams with no franchise quarterback. No different now. The Pats have the franchise QB and we beat them once a decade whether we need to or not. No team has ever won a Super Bowl based on just the first 5 or 6 games of a season, takes all 16.
  7. Elder statesman? This is what you said about Fred Jackson a few minutes ago: By the way guys....CJ Spiller is NOT a bust. He is at a disadvantage of playing behind a top 10 running back in the league in Freddie Jackson. I guess you change your opinion to whatever you think will best support your argument.
  8. Makes you wonder what some other team's fans have been saying for 20 years about some Bills players since Jim Kelly retired doesn't it? Especially since Fitzgerald was wasting away to the tune of over 1,400 yards last year?
  9. When the team had more holes then Swiss Cheese and two 1,000 yard rushers on the roster.
  10. Who are the two starters? Moats is projected to be one. Spiller is Jackson's backup.
  11. I have read in a few places how this current front office was such an improvement, and I am not slamming the front office, but we still have 3 starters from the 2009 class, and 3 of the teams better players too (Byrd, Wood & Levitre).
  12. Although I think the D-Line can increase the number of sacks from last year considerably, and be one of the best sacking units in the NFL, I would be surprised if Mario gets double digits. I think the ones who will benefit from Williams, Anderson and Kelsay's pressure from the outside and them getting double teamed, will be Kyle Williams and Dareus.
  13. I think the topic was the draft not the undrafted free agents?
  14. I think the only pick in that entire draft for the Bills that panned out considering where they were drafted was Moats. Spiller has been pretty good at times, but not really when you consider where he was taken in the draft. The Buddy Machine didn't get off to a roaring start did they, let's hope when the dust settles the 2011 and 2012 drafts turn out better then that one did.
  15. I think any team in the NFL should have the goal of winning the Super Bowl, so until that is accomplished they should always be rebuilding and trying to improve. The Rams didn't suck because of Bradford though, that line was pathetic. Put Bradford on a good team and you have a Pro Bowler.
  16. I would have to agree that the Era started with Montana, but I might want to say the first Franchise QB was Joe Namath. He threw for over 4,000 yards in an era that 3,000 was pretty rare. He was the face of that franchise, who else comes to mind when you think of the biggest upset in NFL History when they beat the Colts? Nobody but Broadway Joe that's who.
  17. If they keep any of the 3 I would guess Roosevelt. Easley has been a fan and organizational favorite for some reason since he joined the Bills and drew a paycheck for two years for watching games. He has been disappointing though on the field this year and he is most likey gone unless the team sees something in him that he hasn't shown on the field.
  18. Whether he really feels that way or not, what did you expect him to say? "We improved but the Patriots are still a whole lot better then us." ? That would sell a bunch of tickets I am sure.
  19. Don't get "haters" confused with "doubters". I root for Fitz every sunday and have met him and he seems like a great down to earth guy who after going to camp for years and years is probably the best I have seen with the fans. Do I think he is the long term answer at QB-No I don't, but I don't hate him by any stretch. A big difference at least for some of us.
  20. So who the team's quarterback is determines if you root for the Bills or against them? Guess over the years you have spent more years rooting against them then for them, if you only root for them when they have a QB who can take a team to the playoffs. Jim Kelly had 7 seasons where he didn't play all 16 games, normally because of injury so you must have rooted against him too? I am not a Vick fan, but your post kinda tells us all what type of fan you are. Go Bills and whomever there QB is!!!!!! Root for the Buffalo the helmet not the player inside it. Was it all the rib injury that wasn't even disclosed until after the season or was it just coincidence he sucked 95% of the time after he put pen to paper on the contract extension?
  21. No it is closer to being over, but still quite a bit from being over. We still don't have a true franchise quarterback. We don't have any depth so to speak of at Wide Receiver. Glenn still has to prove himself at tackle, we all know what rookie tackles with alot of potential can turn into (Mike Williams). Much closer, but not there yet.
  22. I really don't remember him being all that effective on any downs so far. Not sure you cut him, if you do then you just have to fill that roster spot with a #3 quarterback, so you don't gain much. At least you can use Smith in a pinch at receiver, running back or returning kicks. We all should be praying that we never actually have to use him at quarterback though, that would be a disaster.
  23. If I were the Jets - Yes If I were the Jags- No
