There you go! Everyone blaming it on Fitz's mechanics which may be partly correct, but listen to the announcers, he makes bad decisions after bad decisions, what does that have to do with mechanics? Everyone is obsessed with blaming his mechanics, not sure what was wrong with his mechanics. His problems have always been accuracy, bad decisions and arm strength. Mechanics might help with the accuracy part, probably not, but it certainly won't help in with the other two weaknesses.

The game on the road against the eventual Super Bowl Champs was close until Fitz single handedly gave that game away. Deja Vu? -
5 VERY Hard Games Left On Schedule
BuffBill replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly, they almost beat the Eagles due to poor QB play from Philly and look at the weapons they have on offense, compared to ours. Nothing is guaranteed. Not sure Davis will kill the Bills, if Fitz gives them 2 or 3 pick 6's, the offense for San Fran might not be on the field as much as normal. -
With the way Fitz is playing coupled with the way Spiller is running, what option does he have but to be a run first, second and third offense?

Exactly. With Fitz at QB any game we are being forced to throw the ball in, the odds are we come out on the losing end. -

Exactly the Steve Grogan era Pats. -

Team played a whole lot better, with one exception-Fitz. The Bills don't beat many good teams with the way he played yesterday, especially the Pats. I think anyone with common sense would agree the Bills have sucked for ever, but it has only been 7 or 8 years since they have had a winning season, they were 9-7 in 2004 when they won 9 of their last 11 but lost to Pittsburghs third stringers to miss a playoff appearance. Haven't come even close to sniffing the playoffs since.. -
I don't think it is more then one guy, just the OP?

Saying Fitz was pedestrian yesterday might be a little too encouraging, he wasn't a whole lot better then against the Jets, he just had a defense that showed up yesterday. Might be the first game I have ever watched on TV where one team was killing the other, yet the announcers were continuously criticizing the QB of the team that was running away with it, and sadly everything they were saying was spot on accurate. I agree, but how many other peoples jobs would you pay $50-$150 to watch them perform it and then buy their hats and shirts. Do you pay big money to watch someone at Jiffy Lube do and oil change then on the way out pay $100 plus for Jiffy Lube shirt? If you do then you have every right to boo them also, when they can't get the oil change done correctly everytime you take your car in there. I sure wish they would fire him so Fitz turns into Joe Montana in his prime and we win this Superbowl and get it over with!
-
Not sure if that is why they do it, but if it is it surely didn't work with Fitz yesterday. I always thought maybe it was more towards the coaching staff to do something, but in this case what can they do send Pigpen in? Besides, if you are paying that much for a ticket you have as much a right to boo and you do to cheer, as long as you aren't a drunken, rude idiot who cares. Fitz is smart so he knows he sucks, the booing shouldn't tell him anything he doesn't already know.

All scoring plays and turnovers are reviewd, but this one wasn't overturned because both of his feet were clearly in? Even if it wasn't doesn't mean they would get it right anyway, they made more mistakes on reviews in the Jets game then on bad calls themselves.

Stadium 75% empty with 5 minutes left to play
BuffBill replied to Beebes Bubble's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are you really surprised? It happens every where in every major sport. When the game is decided and people have the chance to get a jump on the hurrendous traffic they go for it. Myself, I left one game with a couple minutes left years ago, not just because I thought the Bills were going to lose, but also because I was freezing my ass and every other part of my body off. Well, shortly after I left the stadium about 100 people were around one guy in the parking lot with a small hand held transistor radio listening to Roland Hooks catch a Hail Mary for the Bills win. Needless to say I never have left a game early since, but to each his/her own, alot of people leave when the game is in the books. -
Reaching for excuses for Fitz's terrible play aren't we? Fitz is working his way out of Buffalo, no matter what confidence Chan Gailey says to the press. He has been terrible both games, and was deservedly booed over and over in the stadium yesterday. I like Fitz, but he will never be a winning caliber QB in the NFL. His passes were terrible, just terrible. His decisions were hideous. I like the guy, but he has the smarts to go have a successful career in something else besides the NFL-maybe the UFL. To blame his inability on a quarterback coach is a complete and utterly ridiculous joke. Mechanics aren't the only problem he is having, his poor decisions are just as big if not even a bigger problem then the mechanics. It also seems like he is losing some of his confidence too.

Will the Chiefs seek revenge against Stevie Johnson?
BuffBill replied to BuffBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When I said "get away with it" I meant without a penalty being called. To answer your other questions, yes, I just read it yesterday where Eric Berry said something with regards to it, which is what got me thinking to start this topic. Just yesterday, Romeo Crennel was asked 4 or 5 times in a press conference about this issue, Stevie himself spoke of it yesterday, it is one of the hot topics in K.C. right now. -
The Chiefs, in particular Eric Berry have come out publicly and accused Stevie Johnson of intentionally trying (and succeeding) to hurt Berry in the season opener last year. Any chance they are out for revenge, and if so, I think it might be easier to get away with, with these replacement refs on the field.

Why the BUFFALO BILLS will win handily this week

Not a math wiz, but wouldn't 3 touchdowns and PATs combined with a safety = 23 points? -
Smart People, take me to school. Chan vs Fitz
BuffBill replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Just to start, by me answering this I am not considering myself one of the Smart People. I think one of the problems with the offense, is it is a pass happy offense and we don't have the talent to run it. Our QB makes way too many mistakes and doesn't have the arm to run the offense and we only have one really NFL caliber receiver right now, when you need 3 or 4 to effectively run this offense. As far as is it Chan or Fitz, at this point I don't think it matters, they are joined at the hip and are probably going to go down together. Chan has hitched all his wagons to Fitz being the QB, and because of that it will eventually cost him his job. -

I watched quite a bit of football last weekend, and believe it or not, the refs in the Bills games were great compared to alot of the other games. What mystified me the most in the Bills game was the number of calls they got wrong on reviews? The Bills interception in the first quarter with his foot on the line, Spiller's fumble was never a reception and a few others. The difference in these refs and the real ones really isn't the calls on the field but the number of times they actually get the rules wrong, or take a minute and a half to announce a delay of game penalty. It didn't matter who was officiating the Bills game last week, they got it handed to them either way, but it did make a difference in alot of other games. -
You are reaching pretty far. It would suck to have a QB who started as a rookie, in four seasons has a 44-20 win/loss record, in the playoffs all 4 years, including 2 AFC Championship games and 5 post season victories-that is JOE FLACCO. Fitz couldn't win a Playoff game with the 1970's Steelers, so there is no comparison. As far as Brady Quinn, has anyone including the Browns given him a chance? I remember him starting at least once, and kicking the Bills asses. Getting a QB is more of a crapshoot when you are picking in the bottom third of the draft (I know there are exceptions), then it normally is in the top third where the Bills draft year after year.

Why the BUFFALO BILLS will win handily this week
BuffBill replied to Billsmafia00's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This post is about why the Bills will win handedly, yet you point out more negatives then positives? Seems like a big long paragraph of nothing new. And they were 2.5 point underdogs last week I believe, with the 3 points going to the Jets for homefield, means we pretty much were the better team. How did that work out? -
I think on the defensive side of the ball it was some of both, coaching and execution. On the offensive side of the ball however, and the mistakes that Fitz made, they were all execution, he has been around too long now to blame that disaster on coaching.

BuffBill replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not sure who turned their back on Mario? Myself and probably just about every other Bills fan will be cheering him on as loud as ever on sunday. You kinda contradicted yourself though, the bolded area is kinda what I said in an earlier post, you tell the officials and let them handle it, which isn't what he is being called a whiner for-it is running to the media and using it as an excuse after the fact. -
Equipment Manager fired after 35 years?
BuffBill replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Considering the Bills are the only team using this exact brand of turf, it might be the turf too-just ask Ben Raplesburger. So if you went 350 pounds would you rather be called a "Fat F*ck" or a "Big Person?" Lol -

BuffBill replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with alot of the posters in that when you consider Mario being a $100 million dollar, Pro Bowl defensive end and Austin what ever his name is is a practice squad lineman, it doesn't matter if the guy had a baseball bat or an army tank, he (Mario) should have been all over Sanchez all day long. No excuses in this case, just whining.
