Some of you are so close minded. I subscribe to the Athletic, the NYT and the WSJ. My politics are pretty opposite of the NYT on most issues but you have to be willing to listen to other points of view even if you disagree with them. If the Athletic becomes some woke sports app than yeah, I’ll bail but I highly doubt that will happen. The Times isn’t buying the app to try and make converts.

I was just busting you no worries. I don’t think they are going to cover our #1 WR any different because of a bonus. McD will get him his catches with screen/hitches/McKenzie-like sweeps. Hell Diggs is would be getting 10 targets even if there wasn’t a bonus involved.

I agree. I think the Jets game plan was to leave our #1 WR uncovered until they found out he’s got a potential bonus coming. Should have kept that under wraps

I don’t think they shut us down as much as Josh tried to alter his passing style mid game and it didn’t work. Early on, Josh was hitting guys in the hands and the ball was skipping away. I think he had too much heat on those passes for the conditions. You’d think it would be easy to just take a little mojo off his passes but I think that alters his timing and that’s why the passing game stalled. Hopefully it’s a learning experience for Josh and he learns to take it a little easier from the outset of the game in those conditions so his mental timing, that gets set early in the game, is better.

I agree, and even Roger's has had some pretty crappy games over his career. I'm not saying Josh had a horrible game btw, he just wasn't as on in the passing game as we'd like him to be. The beautiful thing is he didn't get frustrated, just found another way to win. I'm happy we showed we can win a game without Josh being Superstar Passing Josh and that a sub-par statistical game doesn't bring out all the "OMG HE'S REGRESSING" crap we've seen before.

What you saw today was the continuing evolution of Josh as the leader of this franchise. 3 turnovers and he never seemed rattled. He looked more annoyed than anything. Here’s a guy who you can tell doesn’t give 2 shts about what the stat line looks like, all he wants is Ws. There are a lot of guys who talk the talk but Allen backs it up with his play as evidenced by his numerous runs where he refused to go down (we can discuss whether that’s the best tactic but at this point in his career you can’t take that out of his game, it’s who he is). I don’t think you can overstate how play like that elevates every single player around him. That’s the type of play that gets all these guys talking and playing like they’d run through a wall for Josh Allen. No other QB in the league right now is playing with that type of determination. Yeah there are better passers, Lamar is a better runner, but there’s no better complete QB (even Mahomes) who fits better with his franchise than Allen in Buffalo.

Oh I totally agree. Josh is a warrior and did what he needed to do to help the team win win the passing game just wasn’t clicking. I love and respect that in our QB. I have no problem with him running like that, despite the injury risk, because we needed that W. In the playoffs though, he’s going to have to have a better passing game to win 4 playoff games, that’s all.

Important W obviously First time I’ve seen this team change their approach drastically mid game and it worked near perfectly. Loved the smash mouth football, loved that they are learning to win without Josh having a superstar day. That’s important this time of year but clearly we need good Josh in the playoffs to have success.

You can’t seriously be putting Baker Mayfield’s name in the same sentence as Brett Favre can you? Favre was a 4th quarter hero, Baker SUCKS in the 4th and from behind, one of the worst in the league. Name his big games, he’s got maybe 5 tops. He’s a near bust as a number one pick and the Browns are still going to swallow and ridiculously overpay him. All you clowns who are still sucking on the “we could have had Mahomes” teat need to STFU. Mahomes is great, Allen is Buffalo. The guy is a better version of Jim Kelly and I LOVE me some Jimbo. When he’s done he’s going to be the greatest QB in franchise history - book it. It’s easy to judge in retrospect, but there is ZERO question that McD made the right call on passing up on Mahomes and we ended up with the best QB for Buffalo in Allen. Oh and oh yeah, an All Pro CB in Tre White in addition.

I said it at the beginning of the season but Josh 100% does not trust his offensive line and for good reason. You can't expect a QBs confidence in his line to change from series to series. He knows he's likely going to be scrambling as soon as the ball is hiked. This is a seasons worth of running for his life that is adding up and it won't be until next season, assuming Beane fixes the O-line, that Josh will get back to his form of last season.

FFS have some of you started Christmas drinking early or what?? John Brown is DONE. I'm thankful for what he did for our team but to think a guy who couldn't beat out Zay Jones or last long on the Jags practice squad could actually help this team is absolutely ridiculous. As to your points 1) no where have I stated that the vaccine is great for everyone 2) no where have I mentioned pharmaceutical companies. I'll reiterate- I'm anti vaccine mandate. I believe the vaccine is one of several effective treatments we have for Covid. It was absolutely oversold - everyone thought it would prevent covid, it does not. It does prevent severe illness and hospitalizations though, which is a fact. I think pharm companies along with Democrats, CDC and NIH were instrumental in downplaying the early treatment of covid in order to push vaccines and make $$. This virus came from the Wuhan lab until proven otherwise. Every other zoonotic virus we know of has an identified animal vector. They found SARS in 5 months, MERS in 2 months. It's been almost 3 years and they can't find an animal carrying Covid. I believe it's because it escaped from the lab.

Your statement was that more vaccinated people are getting infected with Omicron than unvaccinated. That is as wrong now as it was when you made the statement. Unvaccinated people are at much higher increased risk of getting Omicron and getting sicker from it (although most with Omicron have mild symptoms, Delta is the deadly one right now). The vaccine offers differing degrees of protection against Omicron depending on the vaccine, none of them offer 100% protection, with Moderna being the best. I will tell you that we’ve intubated more people from Covid in the last few weeks than we have in the last year. The only people we are putting on vents at my hospital are unvaccinated. I am anti vaccine mandate but think the vaccine is one of several effective tools to fight Covid. If you are old, fat, and have multiple co morbidities and want to roll the dice and not get vaccinated that’s your choice and is called natural selection.

I thought with a makeshift O-line opening up with short passes and then mixing in the run and not getting away from it was the right call. It was a jailbreak out there. When the line started to hold up a little better you saw more intermediate routes.

That was a good W against a tough Panthers D, no need to downplay it. I liked Dabol’s game plan. He started with short passes (which Josh was off on), then mixed in enough running game that didn’t just keep Carolina honest, it provided needed yards and first downs. That in turn opened up the intermediate game and play action game. That’s the exact type of game plan we need against NE. Josh was solid. Yeah the pick was awful and he held onto it a few times but to expect a perfect game with our horrendous offensive line (and although they played better in the second half they sucked) is ridiculous. When he had a few seconds you saw passes like the first of Gabe’s 2 TDs. I didn’t like us getting the calls in this game because I think that just means we are getting screwed in Gillette, but that may just be 2 decades of dominance by the biggest bandwagon fan franchise in sports history, the Hartford Patriots, speaking.

Looks like I was wrong. That's exceedingly rare to get COVID twice. In fact the CDC doesn't have a documented case that I'm aware of. Prayers for Josh!

If Dawkins can’t go, Daboll better scheme up a game plan that recognizes the fact that the left side is going to be a jail break no matter who we put out there. I’m still hoping that was false positive and he gets a second negative test today, idk if there’s been anymore info on that front. This is a huge test for Daboll. He’s got a nicked up Josh who probably can’t run as well and possibly no LT worth a damn and no blocking TE to help. He needs to develop a plan for Josh to get rid of the ball quickly. If he comes out with all verticles and long developing routes right out of the gate I’m going to lose my sht. Panthers have a good D. I’ve seen a lot of talk about blowing them out and playing NE for the division next week. Already we are getting ahead of ourselves by even thinking that after some of the losses we’ve had this year. I’m concerned and hope we take care of business today before considering the Pats*.
