Shaquem Griffin - Linebacker UCF
peterpan replied to I'm Spartacus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have long said I would trade every pick we have to move up for Rosen but, on second thought, if we could somehow keep just one other draft pick, I'd use it on this kid. Watching ucf games this kid made every freaking play!! It reminded me of watching Wisconsin when JJ Watt was there....Every play was being made by him. -
I wanted him over Watkins :-(

(rumor). Bills-Browns-Giants-Crazy "Dunkirk" type tweet.
peterpan replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For those of us who don't read every single post every day....Could those that do please fill us in on who Dunkirk is??? And also what's with the IN reference to all the time? -
ive been saying the exact same thing for months. Rosen is literally perfect. Darnold's best plays come after he made a mistake, and had to dodge a sack and throw on the run. He is actually much more accurate on the run. Darnold scans the field OK but is so unortodox...its simple jus tnot a recipe for success. Rosen knows the coverage before the snap, finds guys easily. its like you are watching him play, and everyone else is in slow motion. I think the scouts see potential with Darnold whereas I already see the finished product of Rosen. Fact is you don't need all that athleticism when you are there mentally, as a QB. the worst athlete in the NFL not punting or kicking is Tom Brady. Dear good lord Jesus please see fit to bless our inept franchise with Rosen!!! Best QB prospect since Luck. Maybe even better than Luck.

He isgonna be on the field, I see Shaq playing a lot of 3 technique in passing situations, not on the outside. but thats just me. -
Seattle postpones Kaepernick workout b/c of kneeling?

You also can be fired for exercising your constitutional rights. I could get fired for bringing a pistol to work for example. -
I've been saying this for decades. Gronk is gonna retire soon and I about blew my top when we passed on him in the draft. Because for nearly 10 years prior to that draft I've been screaming for a big TE and I still am!!!!!

Actually his arm is stronger in the last few years than it was 15 years ago

Gunner's 2018 Draft QB evaluations
peterpan replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotta say that is an extremely accurate scouting job by my eye. Is very much in line with what I've seen on the tapes. Jackson really improving as a passer, and having serious potential, Darnold lacking a lot of technical stuff, Rosen being so good, It's scary how similar your views and mine are on all of these guys. Even the grades are similar!! Josh Allen I'd rank higher because of his arm talent but the rest of his game is mid rounder caliber. I'm curious as to what your qualifications are? Did you play QB in college or maybe coach somewhere? -
ANY hit with crown of helmet - Automatic 15 yards
peterpan replied to DrDawkinstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The problem with that is, in football it means tackling facemask to facemask, which is often seen as tackling with the crown of the helmet by referees. I've seen dozens of flags thrown for someone tackling with good technique. There is an NFL commercial featuring the Seahawks and their tackling technique, I believe it's for youth football. The ironic part is they show clips of players....Tackling while lowering their heads.... -
Well, I think Darnold needs a lot of work too truthfully. So he could easily sit for a year or two, and probably should.

McDermott: NFL is a “drop-back league”

He is actually much much better than anyone gives him credit for. -
Josh Rosen’s coach said he would take Darnold 1st

Jim Mora loves him -
The Giants GM is new isn't he? I would hope he is thinking long term. That to me means taking a QB while you have the 2nd pick in the draft, AND have the very rare luxury of him sitting behind a potential HOFer for two years. Fact is, if their new GM ever goes 3-13 and drafts in the top 2 again, he will be fired.....

Bills have private workout with Baker Mayfield
peterpan replied to FluffHead's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I could believe it. Fans are dismissing Jackson, but as of right now he would win a starting job over a guy like Allen. Mayfield too potentially. His ceiling is certainly higher than Mayfield's. -
Mike Mayock:. QB draft order... Darnold, Allen, Jackson.
peterpan replied to PIZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rosen is a pocket passer in the truest sense of the word. That's not a bad thing. His movements in the pocket are magnificent. Tiny little have steps and minor movements to avoid pressure. He is just like Brady in that regard. Rosen reminds me of Brady and Matt Ryan. His game is just like those two. Has anyone ever complained about their athletic ability? Fwiw Rosens 40 time was comparable to Mayfield's and Darnold. In that 4.8 range. His short shuttle was identical to Mayfield's and better than both Darnold and Allen. His broad jump and vertical jump were second only to Allen. His 3 cone was last among the 4 but still only 0.09 slower than Mayfield. I think it's a misconception that he is a worse athlete than the other top 4. His number are very similar. It's only Allen that seems to out perform the other 3 and that is near negligible. Just because Rosen is great in the pocket, so much so that he doesn't need to run and scramble... Doesn't mean he isn't mobile. -

I know this is a Mayfield thread but, I'm curious what you think Allen's fatal flaws are? I'm curious to know what other think of him. -

Have you watched Darnold? I don't get where the hype with him comes from. I like to watch whole games of the players and I couldn't find one where he looked good. Someone said the Penn St Rose bowl game...But he stunk! Then I watched a video of his career highlights and not even they were good! Rosen meanwhile is like watching a God amongst mear mortals. Absolutely perfect in everything he does. I haven't read a SINGLE thing online from media "experts", anonymous scout quotes, or even posters on this board, who can point to anything he does wrong on the field. It's all like, his parents are rich and some people don't like him... big deal. Concussions I can get, but that is such an unknown. Darnold could get lit up in his first start and Bam, now he is concussion prone etc etc. Ralph Wilson will be smiling down on us all if Rosen ends up in Buffalo. -

Ahh ok. Yea that guy is the best video reviewer on YouTube I have stumbled across. Slow, but good info. Mayfield I like too. But I think he is really more of an Andy Dalton, top of the 2nd round talent type. Taking him at 22 makes sense. At 12 it's a reach. Trading up to 4 for him seems crazy to me. -
