  1. And the Vikings won, with only 91 yards passing. Didn't we interview that guy for our HC job and turn him away?
  2. Cousins was a third round pick. With what he has shown, his stock is only higher now, so you aren'tgetting him for a 3rd or 4th. A second rounder plus another 2nd or 3rd conditional pick in the floowing year is more realistic, and a very small price to pay.
  3. TOM CABLE!!! The only good coach stupid enough to take the job!
  4. In case you missed it the 2012 class is absolutely incredible at this point. Luck and RG3 look like HOFers. Tannehill has a future. R Wilson is a stud. Nick Foles is playing huge in his starts. Hell even Kirk Cousins can come in for an injured RG3, get his team into overtime with a TD pass, and then get them in FG position in OT to win the game. There were, potentially, 5 franchise QBs just last year, we got none. And I dont even want to know how good Brock Orswiler is going to be.
  5. Lots of LBs have played into their late 30s and played well. Fletcher and Lewis come to mind. I think Urlacher will be able to do that too. I'm not buying that 'hes too old' BS. Ever since we lost Fletcher and Big Pat to that excuse I have been scared.
  6. i like glennon. I wouldn't hesitate to take him with our 1st rounder
  7. I see that one list has a lot more good teams on it than the other list.
  8. I quoted this just to make sure people would read it.
  9. Just because the rest of the league doesnt run enough doesnt mean we shouldnt run enough either. No more second halfs with 7 rush attempts and 30 pass attempts.
  10. The Ravens are set to be making runs at the Superbowl the next few seasons. You expect them to find another QB now? Actually, they could go after Alex Smith......
  11. I dont know about past seasons, but this season, probably 10-12, with an equal amount of rushing TDs.
  12. As I recall he wasn't that hot a commodity. He didn't draw up too much interest right away, which to me was a sign that teams dont think too highly of him.
  13. This is why stats lie. In 100 drop backs Brady may get hit twice and Fitz 40 times. how about a stat that shows % of QB hits that draw a roughing the passer flag? Thats the real stat. But every fan base knows the Pats get more calls than every other team. I've noticed it in every Pats game I have ever watched. Its one of the reasons I started to hate them.
  14. I think football has just turned into a big pu$$y sport. I mean seriously, this thread was started because a guy hit someone too hard. Honestly? Its football dude, you are supposed to hit hard. Jack Tatum, Ronnie Lott, Dick Butkus, these are the greatest players of all time. Yet if they played today they would be suspended as many games as they played and would be labeled total dirt bags and over rated by the jackwagons on ESPN and on this board. Mean Joe Greene didn't get that nickname by being nice you know. Seriously what makes Harrison dirty? I know he hits hard, but please be specific, because hitting hard is not dirty, its encouraged. By those measures Donte Whitner is dirty. Did harrison stomp someones face or lung at someones knee? Did he poke someone in the eye? Same goes for Laundry - what has he done? All he does is hit people hard, now he is dirty? You guys watch too much ESPN Actually he was very dominant in that Thanksgiving day game. And I've seen him a few other times, he can still blow up triple teams and he is one of the fastest DTs in the league. The dude is a stud.
  15. Carrington would likely be at end if Mario wasn't insistant on playing the left side, but thats another issue. Carrington should be the DE on short yardage. Mario, WIlliams, Dareus, Carrington is some big bodies, and it wouldn't hurt our pass rush at all.
  16. Is it just me or do players rarely get hurt on kickoffs? I would think that more players would get hurt on a 4th and 15. Whether a QB or WR being hit in the head or a lineman getting a knee or ankle rolled up on. And don't get me started on how an 'illegal contact, 5 yard penalty, AUTOMATIC FIRST DOWN' penalty would ruin this. The way the Refs call games so tight these days about 75% of these would be converted via stupid penalties. But again, players don't really get hurt on kickoffs. Its just like that horsecollar tackle. I have seen one player in the history of football injured that way - TO - and the very next year these bozos at the NFL ourlaw it. What gives?
  17. I really think its a result of Gaileys offense more than quality QB play. I mean really, its evident we don't have quality QB play.
  18. I can see the Dallas Star on his helmet now. Or maybe in philly or Chicago There are two dozen teams that could use him at LT. But yes I would love him at RT if he wanted to play here. He might be a 'Buffalo' type guy too, but don't expect Nix to go after him, or weakness isnt at RT.
  19. I can't believe people are still defending Fitz. He literally cannot THROW!!!! Think about it, we have a QB that cannot throw. Can. Not. THROW. And people think he is on the same level as Russel Wilson? Have you seen wilson? He can make every single throw one could imagine. He flicks his wrist and its 50 yards on a rope (which is about 10 yards farther than fitz can flop it forward). He is accurate as hell and fast as schit too. Fitz is a pop-warner QB when compared to him. Actually, I bet if Wilson were to throw left handed, it would be like Fitz throwing with his right. Dalton is way way way better too. You want a good comparison to Fitz? I'll give you Charlie Batch - the Steelers THIRD STRING QB.
  20. Most of the TV draft pundints said he projected to Safety while in college. So I'll take their word for it.
  21. Below average, easily bottom third of the league as far as starters go, likely even bottom 5. Jax, Ariz, Jets, KC. I can't think of any other team worse off at QB than the Bills. (I thought about Tenn for a while but their backup -Hasselback - is better than our starter)
  22. He also watched the game in person, you can't see too much of a CBs play when he is out of the TV screen
  23. I think he was just going with the hot hand. Spiller at one point had 11 carries for 33 yards. Jax came in and reminded us why Spiller was kept on the bench the last two years. He was great yesterday and wore them down to win the game.
  24. Plus, I know we jsut signed a lot of DEs, but Michael Johnson from Cincy is set to be a FA. He is very good.
  25. I voted to lose out before the Jax game even started. Why? bc even if we win out we wont make the playoffs. Cincy, Pitt, Indy, those teams are much better than us and they will take the WC spots. Hell even Miami has a better chance than us. And even if there is not top QB, there are still stud players that can help us. Like T'eo, if he is the next Ray Lewis or P Willis then a guy like that could take us to the next level. God knows our D really needs help.
