I think he is too physical with WRs and will draw a lot of penalties. He is often lost at times and looks into the backfield too much, but as a rookie that is expected I guess. Overall I think we would have been better drafting someone else, or trading down.

I've seen enough of this experiment

Gailey has gotten worse and worse as time ahs gone on. He is regressing as a coach as is our team -
Yes I am, but he has been a HC while running the D the way he wanted to. and he has been an assistant HC for a number of teams. I'd like him in a DC role.
-
Why do you think he took the job then? He knew they were going to be handcuffed. (I am seriously asking, not questioning you) I'd take O'brien in a heartbeat. He did a great job this year.
-
You would think the NFL would have caught on and not schedule 3 games in Buffalo in December. Its like they dont want them to sell out, which could be their goal.
-
KW has been consistantly one of the best DTs in the NFL for over 5 years. He may not always be great but he has been the best player on this defense for a long time.
-
I'd lvoe to make it personal BB ;-)
-
Thats a great idea. He is from the Bellicheat tree. But he is also a Penn St guy so he may be too loyal to Penn St. to bail on them after one year.
-
So you guys think Darryl Talley who has never coached before at any level would be a better NFL HC than Tom Cable? How about we start him out as an assistant LB coach? That seems like a better idea.
-
Would he leave Stanford for Buffalo? Why? Harbaugh wouldn't
-
Well my point is Cable had some success and I can't think of any other coach who has been successful that would come here. Wheather its as a coordinator or HC or in a legit college program. Cable will never get another shot in this league anywhere but Buffalo (he already burned the Oakland bridge). Its a match made in hell ;-)

OK first we must accept the Bills suck and no coaches want to coach here. We got laughed at by coordinators and college coaches last time we were looking for a coach. We basically settled on Gailey bc we couldn't get anyone else to come here. So, we need to find a guy who will never get an opportunity elsewhere. That basically limits us to schitty coaches with a bad stigma. I don't think any OC or DC will want to risk there careers in Buffalo, so to me that means we go to coaches who have been an HC before and bring them here for a second chance. Now lets think about our team. We have two stud running backs and a good young OL. We should have a good physical DL. Our QB sucks and is at best a bad game manager. So in conclusion, if we are going to build a team from what we have, we should bring in a run oriented HC who has had success with big bodies on the DL. LUCKILY FOR US - there is a coach who fits that mold to a T. - TOM CABLE!! Its just crazy enough to work guys, here me out. - He alledgedly beat his two ex wives, so no team will prob ever hire him as a HC again. - He took a very very bad Oakland Raiders team to an 8-8 record in 2010, his last one as HC of that team. BUT - he was 6-0 in the division. If we ever want to make the playoffs, we will need to beat the Patsies. - He is an OL guru, his teams constantly were tops in the league in rushing, 2nd best in the NFL in 2010. - with our OL and running backs, we would lead the NFL in rushing. - A running team would help our defense. - His defenses got good pressure from their DLs, which we all know is the way to beat the Patsies. - Again, he was 6-0 in his division in 2010. Tom Cable is currently the OL coach in Seattle. Seattle's running game has been great under him. Now, my vote for DC would be Mike Singletary. I love Singletary and I think he is perfect as a DC. He is currently only a LB coach in Minn. He may be a bit out of his element as a HC, however, If Singletary was HC and Cable was OC, that would be great too. Its crazy but honestly, we aren't going to get a coach here that makes sense. No coach in his right mind would coach this sorry excuse for an NFL franchise, which is why Tom Cable is the perfect canidate.

I think thats why Nix gets paid Millions of dallors to be an NFL GM - to realize that type of stuff. Thinking back to them both in college, I thought Dareus was good in college, but I never saw him dominate a game single handedly like I saw Watt do a number of times. Watt reminded me of Suh in college, Dareus I guess I kinda just assumed was good cause everyone said he was.

And the reason we lost to the Colts was.....

Spillers YPC avg. is crazy high. SPiller needs more carries until that average comes down to about 5 per carry, ie, untill teams start keying on him more to stop him. If they can't stop him you keep going to him. If they start to get him, then that should open up other avenues for our schitty QB. -
We need to clean house, but I mean 100% of our scouts too. NFL scouts scout college players, NFL players, and players on our own team. These are the guys that have a lot to say into who is on our roster and they clearly suuuuuccckkkk
-
My thought is I would want P Willis at MLB. But this D would do fine agaisnt the run, all those players are studs!
-
Thats why I found it so impressive, not because of the probowlers, but because only one player is out of the league, and the number of quality starters is staggering.
-
No, he drafted three pro bowlers in one draft. And if being a d*ck makes you a bust in your book I guess you grade football players different than I do. I tend to do it on how good they are at football. Like Lynch, he is not a bust. He is a Pro Bowl running back any way you cut it. You must have the highest standrads in the world for this not to be a great record. He drafted an entire offense, short a QB, and an entire LB core and D Backfield in 5 drafts with unarguable superstars and great depth at multiple positions. Thats better than half the teams in the NFL, likely much more than half. I've seen and read your posts, you haven't drafted better than this guy, not even close.
-
In what world is Dez Bryant a Bust? He is one of the best WRs in the league dude. I know people dont like Clausen and neither do I personally, but you can't call a guy with only a few starts a bust. That would be like calling Brady a bust because he didnt surplant Bledsoe sooner or something. Let me remind you that this dudes 2008 draft had three pro bowlers in it, thats three times more pro bowlers than the Bills have drafted since 2008 (Bryd)

I stumbled upon a guys draft website and checked out his history. He does a 'dream draft' thing where he gets a mid round pick in each round and drafts as if he were a team. I just started a thread on it. He makes the Bills look like b*tches. Here is the thread http://forums.twobil...-draft-success/

FJ's back, but CJ's the starter this week
peterpan replied to l< j's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So does he get 10-15 carries now? thats better than 8-12 I guess. -
OK so I checked the mock-draft sights today and noticed some this guys past drafts. I went through and was stunned at how well he had done. I wish we hired this guy rather than Marv and Dick back in 2008! Below are his results http://www.draftcountdown.com/features/DreamDraft/Dream-Draft.php ***I realize their may be some revisionist history because it appears that he didn’t publish these lists until the end of the preseason, however I remember reading through these right after the draft, in years past. 2008 1-DRC – Solid Starting CB 2- DeSean Jackson – Pro Bowl WR. 3- DaJuan Morgan – S, out of league after 3 years 4- Tashard Choice – Solid Back Up RB 5- Carl Nicks – Pro Bowl G 6- Donal Thomas – Reserve G for NE, Has 25 starts in the last 3 seasons 7- Peyton Hillis – Former PB caliber RB/FB UD- Erin Henderson – Starting OLB for Minn. 2009 Michael Oher – Starting LT for Balt. Has he made a pro bowl? I’m not sure. LeSean McCoy – Pro Bowl RB for the Eagles Jared Cook – Starting TE for Tenn Lawrency Sidbury – Reserve DE for ATL, a nobody Jamon Merideth – Starting G for Tampa after bouncing around the league. Coye Francies – CB, Special Teams player for Oakland Sammie Stroughter – WR, a nobody on the Bucs UD- Dannell Ellerde – ILB for Balt, plays a good number of plays, 11 career starts 2010 Dez Bryant – Pro Bowl WR for the Cows Jimmy Clausen – Backup JD Walton – C, 3 year starter for the Broncos (he also says he was torn between this guy and Jimmy Graham, I find this important bc Graham was the last guy taken in the 3rd round after a slew of other compensation picks, so there is a good chance this guy would have had a chance at Graham later in the third if he had a compensatory pick) O’Brien Schofield – Starting OLB for Ariz Reshad Jones- Starting FS for Miami Trindon Holliday – KR/WR for Denver Selvish Capers- Practice Square T for the Gmen UD- LeGarrette Blount – Former stud RB who is now a backup for TB. 2011 Prince Amukamara – Starting CB for the Gmen Da’Quan Bowers – Backup DE for TB, coming back from two injuries Mason Foster – Starting ILB for TB Julius Thomas- A nobody TE for the Broncos Jeremy Kerley – slot WR for the Jets, currently having a breakout yr…with Sancheze at QB. Jerrell Powe – Backup NG for KC Lee Zimba – T on the Panthers PS UD- Mark Herzlich – Backup ILB for the Giants, has looked good recently when he go a chance to start. 2012- no real reason to go over it yet, but his one Undrafted Pick is worth noting. Vontaze Burfict, who earned a starting job for Cincy, and is playing like a pro bowler at OLB. In conclusion that is 2 PB wrs, a PB running back, a very good slot WR, a couple backup RB studs (relative term), A PB guard, a good-to-great LT and C, another G capable of starting, A solid young TE(and maybe Jimmy Graham, who knows), four solid starting LBs, two solid starting CBs, a starting FS, a young DE that could become a stud when healthy, and great depth along the OL, LB Core, WITH ONLY ONE GUY WHO IS OUT OF THE LEAGUE! INCLUDEING THE UNDERAFTED PLAYERS!!! Add in his 2012 draft and its even more complete.

Would Rivers be an option at QB next year?
peterpan replied to BuffalothruMyVeins's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone on that team has under performed with that boob of a coach they have. I don't expect SD to ditch Rivers under any circumstances, and everyone on that team including Rivers will be much better with a good coach. That team has talent. -
It was a general statement more than anything.

Its about time the Paties ego has bitten them. Bellicheat always leaves his starters in to run up the score when he has the game in the bag, which obviously leaves his players open to injuries. This time, it cost him his best offensive weapon. I hate seeing injuries and I really like Gronk, but its about time the Pats got what they deserved. Too bad it wasn't Brady. Only the Bills could not clear a HOF caliber player with back injuries, only to draft a well below average, who has also suffered from chronic back injures since college, and whom they did clear, only to have the player they passed on be 100% fine while the player they did take has been IR'd every season he has been in the league, because of his back injuries. Doh!
